Smart Bro Brings Ultrafast LTE Speed with "No Lock-In"

Smart Bro launches country’s first ‘no lock-in’ LTE plans

Smart Bro is making ultrafast Long-Term Evolution (LTE) connectivity accessible to more users with the recent expansion of its LTE mobile broadband offers featuring new postpaid plans and devices that are more affordable and easier to acquire.

With high-speed Internet connectivity becoming an essential part of one’s day-to-day lives, Smart Bro is bringing two new postpaid LTE offers to users: LTE Plan 999 with 3GB of data allocation every month and LTE Plan 599 with 1.5GB of monthly data allocation. These plans are available through a SIM-only subscription that comes with no lock-in period, the first LTE subscription of its kind in the country today.

Aside from these new plans, Smart Bro is also introducing two LTE-powered tablets that can bring blazing-fast multimedia experiences to every user through the Huawei MediaPad 10 Link LTE tablet and the newest version of the Asus Nexus 7 under LTE Plan 1299.

“Smart Bro is making it easier and more affordable than ever for subscribers to experience the ultrafast LTE speeds from the leader in mobile. Whether they use a laptop, a tablet, or other mobile devices, users now have the widest options to choose how they want to experience the best mobile broadband experience from the country’s largest broadband network,” said Michele Curran, Data and International Services Head at wireless services leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart). Smart Broadband, Inc. (Smart Bro) is a subsidiary of Smart.

Interested subscribers can get the new LTE Plan 999 or LTE Plan 599 offers in two ways: with a no lock-in subscription but with a one-time fee of P3,500 for an LTE Plug-It or P4,500 for an LTE Pocket WiFi device; or with a 24-month lock-in period that comes with either a free LTE Plug-It or an LTE Pocket WiFi device for a P1,500 one-time fee upon sign-up.

Ultrafast Internet on tablets

But for those interested in experiencing life in the fast line of mobile broadband through the latest tablet devices, Smart Bro offers the Huawei MediaPad 10 Link LTE tablet at Plan 1299 with a one-time fee of P2,200 and the Asus Nexus 7 LTE tablet with a one-time fee of P1,500.

Huawei Mediapad 10 Link

The Huawei MediaPad 10 Link features a 10-inch IPS display optimized for viewing from a wide range of angles. It also comes with 16GB of onboard storage, 1GB RAM, and runs a quad-core processor under the hood as well as the Android Jelly Bean mobile operating system.

The, meanwhile, brings the purest Google experience to users with its IPS Display, 32GB of internal storage, and the latest Android Jelly Bean mobile OS paired with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor.

These LTE tablet plans come with the standard two-year contract and 1.5GB of data every month. Once subscribers reach their monthly volume allocations, they can choose to subscribe to any of Smart Bro’s LTE data packages, which include: LTE 50 for 1 day, LTE 299 for one week, and LTE 999 for one month of unlimited surfing on LTE. They can subscribe to these packages by logging on to the Smart Online Store (store.smart.com.ph).

Smart Bro is able to deliver the widest range of LTE plan and device offers in the Philippines today thanks to more than 10,000 4G-capable sites (HSPA+, LTE/LTE-A) backed more than 78,000 kilometers of fiber footprint around the country.
