The Super Bowl of China Returns with a New look and Revamped Menu

My father used to bring me to this cute Chinese Restaurant located at Binondo along Sta Cruz when I was younger. I have grown to love their dimsum platter, siopao, lumpia, birthday noodles and a lot more since then.  I love Chinese/Cantonese cuisine, theirs has been one of my comfort food. Then I stumbled upon Super Bowl of China at Galleria years back. I am loyal to their best sellers like Lemon Chicken and Hot Taho complete with sago and sweet syrup to this day. Then I discovered they offer some new dishes to try on complete with the restaurant's new look feel of the brand.

Super Bowl of China Sm Megamall recently launched its new dishes together with the restaurant's whole fresher look to the media last April 21 with its contemporary interiors and decor with drop lights hanging from the ceiling that brightens up the dining area.

As a way to introduce the “new” Super Bowl, the restaurant is offering its Limited Time Offer selection featuring new dishes such as Beef Hofan, Beef with Ampalaya & Black Beans, Hot Chicken Salad, Pork Wanton with Mala Sauce, and the refreshing Red Bean Milk Tea.

All the dishes served were delicious, fresh and not to mention instagrammable worthy. The first dish that I have tried is their Dimsum Platter, I first took a bite to its crunchy spring roll dipped to their special spicy vinegar.  Next was the pork siomai which is the juiciest and tastiest I should say.

The Sweet and Sour Pork has that mouthwatering crispiness, it was fried just right to every bite. The bell pepper compliments the taste of crispy glazed pork. It was so good I ate half of the plate served.

The Super Bowl Birthday Noodles is an E Fu-based noodle dish generously topped with fresh shrimp, roast pork asado, cuttlefish, quail eggs, sliced pork, and mixed vegetables.

The Chinese Chorizo Rice and the quintessential Yang Chow Fried Rice is the best selling fried rice to dining customers. You can eat it with their best selling dishes or alone.

Sliced Beef with Brocolli, tender beef slices on a bed of fresh broccoli flowers, mixed mushrooms, carrots sautéed in a sesame-oyster sauce. Seafood lovers, on the other hand, opt for the Szechuan Shrimps for its plump and juicy shrimps stir fried with carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms, dried Taiwan chili, peanuts and Szechuan Sauce.

Desserts include classic favorites such as the peanut buchi, black gulaman and the well-loved taho, served with tapioca balls and sweet syrup which customers can add to their liking.

Aside from the visual and architectural changes introduced in the restaurant, Super Bowl of China now has a new logo that is more streamlined and modern. The iconic bowl in the old logo has been retained to pay homage the brand’s heritage. The restaurant’s other branches are also currently being renovated to reflect the new look and feel of the brand.

“A number of elements, from the new logo and menu design, to staff uniforms, restaurant design, décor, floor and wall finishes, furnishings, and food presentation, have contributed to revamped Super Bowl of China, which is part of the company’s plan to capture a younger and wider market,” said Laine de Jesus-Vallar, senior marketing manager.

Since opening its first store in the country in 2001, guests have been coming back to the restaurant for its authentic Cantonese cuisine that’s delicious & affordable. Its long-standing commitment to give guests a satisfying dining experience without sacrificing quality has been rewarded with many satisfied and loyal guests. And with the renovation already completed, Super Bowl of China is ready to claim its spot as a favorite place to dine and celebrate.

“This infographic décor is a unique wall accessory that gives guests a quick glance into Super Bowl of China’s history, heritage, and bestselling dishes,” Vallar said.
