Watsons Philippines gathered the brilliant names in the health, wellness, and beauty industry for its most anticipated annual event—the Watsons Health, Wellness and Beauty (HWB) Awards 2025. Guests were welcomed by a dazzling LED walkway that took them through a visual journey of Watsons' key milestones, highlighting achievements in commercial growth, e-commerce, customer engagement, and data-driven solutions that Watsons offers to its brand partners. The immersive presentation reflected Watsons’ evolution as a business and its unwavering focus on positively impacting people and the planet.
The night opened with a moving performance featuring children from ChildHope PH and a beneficiary of Give-A-Smile, one of Watsons Philippines’ major CSR programs in partnership with Operation Smile. Joined by Watsons employees, they set a heartfelt tone for the evening. GMA Sparkle artist Julie Anne San Jose lent her voice to a stirring medley that brought warmth and grace to the moment. The atmosphere turned even more magical as aerial silk dancers floated gracefully onstage, evoking diamonds' multifaceted beauty and brilliance.

The A.S. Watson International Project Director, Jacqueline Cheung, unveiled Watsons’ latest retail media innovation: OptimO. This powerful tool is set to boost brand visibility across Watsons’ platforms, making it easier for partners to connect with shoppers and drive top-of-mind awareness.
Chief Business Transformation Officer, Mandy Ng, and Director of Customer Intelligence and Loyalty, Elaine Wong, then shared Watsons’ data-driven approach to growth. By leveraging Artificial, Business, and Customer Intelligence, brands can craft more personalized, insight-led strategies tailored to customer behavior, maximizing performance and relevance in today’s dynamic retail landscape.
In his closing remarks, Watsons Philippines Chief Operating Officer Jefferson L. Fresh off their triumphant MPTC Tour of Luzon debut, the MPT DriveHub Cycling Team has traded the trail for the innovation stage as the team were seen at the HUAWEI Wearables Launch Event, held last May 22 at Bonifacio High Street Activity Center. The team reflected on their race experience with HUAWEI and got to take the newly-launched HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series for a spin.

Victorious MPTC Tour of Luzon Ride with HUAWEI
Last April, the MPT DriveHub Cycling Team took on an exhilarating 8-day journey across 7 provinces for the MPTC Tour of Luzon. They won against 13 local and 4 international cycling teams. The race spanned over 1,000 kilometers across Luzon’s varied terrain, from steep mountain ascents and coastal sprints to endurance-testing stretches, under the scorching summer sun.
The MPT DriveHub team partnered with HUAWEI for the race and credited the tech brand’s wearable innovation for helping them maintain peak condition through grueling climbs and back-to-back stages. The team’s experience with HUAWEI wearables during the race reflects one of the many ways HUAWEI leverages its innovations, equipped with next-level sports and wellness features, to reshape athletic performances and empower healthier, more active lifestyles.

At the launch event, the MPT DriveHub Cycling Team was among the first to experience the newly launched HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series. It feels light and secure on the wrist, but still looks durable” said MPT DriveHub Cycling Team Manager and Sports Director Matt Aguilar. Aside from its lightweight wear, the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Series’ vibrant AMOLED display with up to 3,000 nits peak brightness was another feature that the team took note of. “I think the bright display is helpful for when we wear it while riding during the day and night,” commented MPT DriveHub Cycling Team’s Mervin Corpuz, who was awarded Best Sprinter for MPTC Tour of Luzon.
