DHL Express partners with 7-Eleven PH

DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has announced a new partnership with Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC), the exclusive licensee of 7-Eleven International in the Philippines, to give customers added convenience as they ship to different countries and territories.

Under the partnership, customers in the National Capital Region and Calabarzon can drop off prepaid 0.5kg documents at 29 initially designated 7-Eleven stores, which will be officially launched early next year.

The new partnership, which leverages 7-Eleven’s extensive nationwide network, allows us to improve the quality of service we give to our customers. This means customers can enjoy the increased convenience of having additional drop-off points aside from DHL Express ServicePoints to send important documents,” said Nigel Lockett, Country Manager of DHL Express Philippines.

“This partnership with Philippine Seven Corporation is important because it strengthens our network and reiterates that we consistently put the customer at the heart of everything we do,” added Eric Queppet, Commercial Head of DHL Express Philippines.

“We are delighted to enter this partnership with DHL Express, further adding to the growing list of services that customers can now avail of at our 7-Eleven stores. DHL Philippines and SOS Children’s Villages signed a partnership agreement to empower young people

DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding, and DHL Supply Chain, as part of the newly-launched GoTeach partnership with SOS Children’s Villages to empower and improve employability of young peoplefrom vulnerable backgrounds, recently mentored 52 senior high school students.

At this year’s YouthCan! activity, the students attended employment and entrepreneurship talks given by 31 DHL volunteers virtually. They were introduced to a career as a DHL salesperson, including the soft skills that are needed. The youths were also presented various logistics career options within DHL, such as airfreight or ocean freight operations as well as import and export specialists. After the speakers’ discussions, the youths and volunteers engaged in deep discussions about their future career plans, and goals.

Earlier this year, DHL Philippines and SOS Children’s Villages signed a partnership agreement to empower young people aged between 15 and 25 in the Philippines and help prepare them for employment or entrepreneurship.

“As the partner of SOS Children’s Villages, our goal is to help young people understand the job market, provide them with soft and basic skills training to improve employability and entrepreneurship. We hope these youths walk away with insights and motivation to be financially independent for a better future,” said DHL Express Country Manager for the Philippines, Nigel Lockett.

“Sharing their time and expertise is one of the ways our employees can contribute to this partnership with SOS Children’s Villages. I applaud their commitment to taking the time out to do this for the youths, who will be this country’s future leaders,” said Bevan Noel Williams, Managing Director for DHL Supply Chain Philippines.

“Through this program, participants become aware of what employers look for when reviewing candidates. Armed with this knowledge, participants can prepare themselves better for when they enter the job market,” said Yvonne Lee, Managing Director for DHL Global Forwarding Philippines.

“I would like to thank DHL and their volunteers once again for supporting YouthCan! and for providing simple skills training that will help increase the employability of our youths, as well as expand their career opportunities. We hope to have more YouthCan! sessions with DHL and to also strengthen our partnership in the coming years,” said Romil I. Rayos del Sol, Deputy National Director, SOS Chilidren’s Village, Inc. Philippines.

YouthCan! was launched in 2017 by SOS Children’s Villages and five global partners from the private sector to help young people without parental care or at risk of losing it transition to independence and secure decent work. In 2021, it was launched in the Philippines.

Recognizing that education promotes greater stability and prosperity, DHL Philippines has mobilized its highly qualified workforce for its GoTeach program. In addition to SOS Children’s Villages, DHL Philippines has been partnering Teach for the Philippines since 2013 where its employees not only share their time but their individual skills and experiences.

DHL Express has launched a new promotion under its DHL Rewards Program

DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has launched a new promotion under its DHL Rewards Program to give loyal customers in the Philippines a chance to redeem shipping credits and exclusive discounts on their next DHL Express shipment.

More shipments mean more chances to earn miles, which can be converted to shipping credits.

This is a great time for customers to earn rewards and take advantage of DHL Express’ fast and reliable logistics services supported by our extensive global network,” said Nigel Lockett, Country Manager of DHL Express Philippines.

A customer who ships through any DHL Express ServicePoint nationwide is eligible for DHL Rewards. No registration is needed, and a customer automatically earns miles on the first shipment.

Claire Canaugan owns a handicrafts and accessories business based in Cebu and is a DHL Rewards Diamond Tier Member.

“The rewards not only earn me miles and give me savings on shipping but also make me feel special as a loyal DHL Express customer,” said Canaugan.

Jenalyn Gaoat is an online seller of garments and food that relies on DHL Express for her shipping needs.

“I found out about the DHL Rewards through a fellow regular customer. Being a Diamond Tier member is such a big help to a small business owner like me. On top of the Express Easy rates, you also get 15% off when you reach the highest tier. I highly recommend this to other small business owners,” said Gaoat.

For Gold members (0 to 49,990 miles), every Php100 paid is equal to 100 miles or Php5 off on the next visit. A gold member needs a minimum of 2,000 miles to redeem. Accumulated miles can be used as a shipping rebate until the member reaches 50,000 miles or Platinum level. Customers can also use the miles in conjunction with other discounts. Shipping credits are available to published tariff rates only.

For Platinum members (50,000 to 99,999 miles), a discount of 10% is given on the next shipment, while Diamond members (100,000 miles and up) get a 15% discount. The shipping miles cannot be converted to shipping credits or used in conjunction with other discounts.

"The DHL Rewards Program is designed to ensure our customers get more out of their shipments with us. By regularly shipping with DHL Express, they will have the opportunity to earn miles and get rewards such as exclusive merchandise and discounts. And as they earn more miles, they will have access to exciting rewards,” said Eric Queppet, Head of Commercial at DHL Express Philippines. "This is our way of showing our customers how much we value their continued patronage."

The promotion period is until December 31, 2022, and is valid only at DHL ServicePoints nationwide for export shipments.
