Its been 10 months since I last dined in at Goldilocks, SM San Lazaro mall. I remember ordering Dinuguan with puto, Lumpiang Sariwa and Sago Gulaman. These combo has been my comfort food. I could eat all of that in one seating alone. I love the sweet-salty taste combination. Yum!
Then pandemic happens and dine-in options was a no-no. I was just glad that I could still order my favorites along with cakes, rolls and bitbits via Grab food. Thank God for online delivery! I could still eat normal in the comfort of my room.
Last week, I had an invite to visit the new Goldilocks at the 3rd level SM Megamall, since I miss dining in and had been anticipating for what's new in their menu. I said yes right away. We were only 4 invited guests. I felt safe knowing that Goldilocks follows the standard safety measures recommended to protect customers and staff too.
The first thing that set me in the mood is their theme interiors. It had a youthful vibe of yellow and white aesthetics.
The restaurant can seat up to 50 people. But with the pandemic and for the safety of diners, they would allow 25 at the moment.
Everything looks clean and organized the moment you enter the restaurant.
The usual favorite bitbits like the mamon, polvoron butter slices, breads, puto and the likes are situated at the door entrance of the restaurant.
When you make your order from the cashier you'll be given a coaster pager to let you know when your food is ready for pick up, this is to avoid long queues at the counter.

Goldilocks knows that even the most faithful recurring customers will want to try something new. There are new added dishes to try out in their menu. They are now serving coffee, milktea with sago, and cake ala mode, among others.
We were served tweaked dishes like the Caldereta pie, Laing Pasta and my personal favorite Lasagna ala Cubana. It tastes creamy, delicious and perfect with fried saba. It compliments the flavor of lasagna with sunny side up egg on top.
The good news is that these specially crafted dishes would be available at all Goldilocks Restaurants nationwide.
