Enjoy "Great Little Moments" with Sensodyne and win a trip to Korea!
GSK Fights to Stop Teeth Sensitivity with “Great Little Moments” Campaign and new Mouthwash Launch:
Good dentists are heaven sent! Especially when you have teeth like mine, I have 2 dentists that I have been frequenting for the past 10 years. When the older one is not around and or in a holiday or is busy with so many patients, I got to visit the "today's generation" dentist. They are both good dentists with light hands to begin with. They have their own style handling the patients, but both relied to one toothpaste that is Sensodyne. Since I have sensitive teeth, I only use Sensodyne it helps me with the grinding of the teeth that I suffered at night. I woke up to a "no ngilo" teeth the following morning, it has been my everyday oral care routine and I love how Sensodyne treated my "pangingilo" for so many years now. I got to enjoy the best of both worlds, devouring hot and cold food at the same time is not a problem anymore.
Sensodyne, the #1 sensitivity toothpaste in the Philippines, recently launched Sensodyne mouthwash with its ambassador Luis Manzano at Rizal Ballroom C, Makati Shangri-la last June 5. Sensodyne initiates the "Great Little Moments" campaign and affirmed its commitment to create a future where every Filipino is sensitivity-free with the “Say No to Ngilo” advocacy.
Now, you dont have to look for another brand of mouthwash for your oral care. Sensodyne with its new mouthwash gives not only the benefits of your regular mouthwash but also pangingilo relief.
Sensodyne Mouthwash has all the benefits of a regular mouthwash like providing lasting freshening effect, and fluoride to strengthen teeth and protect against decay. It’s alcohol-free plus it gives pangingilo relief. It has two variants (Cool Mint and Extra Fresh 250mL) at Php165 SRP. The mouthwash is distributed in major supermarkets and drugstores nationwide.
"Pangingilo" is characterized by a short, sharp, shooting pain, which many sensitivity/pangingilo sufferers often choose to just endure, the discomfort caused by sensitive teeth may only last for a short period, but the emotional effects of missing out on those precious moments with your loved ones over food and drinks has a far longer impact.
Sensitive teeth occurs when the layer of enamel becomes thin and exposes the softer dentine underneath. This soft layer makes up the inner part of the tooth leading to the tooth’s nerve center and triggers the pain you feel.
Other things that can cause sensitive teeth are brushing too hard or using a hard bristles toothbrush, teeth grinding, gingivitis and receding gums.
Last year, GlaxoSmithKline, the makers of Sensodyne, the #1 sensitivity toothpaste in the Philippines which is also recommended by dentists, spearheaded the “Say No to Ngilo” advocacy where dentists, consumers and Sensodyne came together to enjoin everyone to heed the call to take action to no longer endure the discomfort of pangingilo.
In 2015, GSK and Sensodyne takes the advocacy a notch higher with the launch of “Great Little Moments” digital campaign which encourages Filipinos not only to “Say No to Ngilo,” but also share their experiences after converting to Sensodyne and how they are able to fully enjoy their great little moments sensitivity-free.
“But it’s more than just missing out on food. When you choose to just endure the pain, you do it at the expense of fully enjoying experiences and social occasions that go along with it, making you miss out on those great little moments with your loved ones,” Pelier added.
The digital campaign encourages consumers to share their “Great Little Moments” in the Sensodyne Philippines website (www.sensodyne.com.ph) by uploading a photo of a moment (eg. sipping hot chocolate, eating halo-halo, etc.) they can now fully enjoy because they are pangingilo-free. Winners of the contest will win a trip for two to South Korea.
“For those who have sensitive teeth like me, I know you’d agree that it is not something you can just ignore. Sensitive teeth can ruin the mood of any romantic date, or stop you from enjoying those unforgettable moments with your loved ones,” Sensodyne brand ambassador, Luis Manzano shares.
Heather Pelier adds, “Our message is simple, there is no need for sensitivity to impact anyone’s life. Making a simple change to one’s oral care regimen will make a real difference. Now that Sensodyne has reached out to more Filipinos who used to just endure the pain, we want to encourage them to tell their stories now that they can enjoy their favorite food and drinks and fully enjoy the eating moments with their family and friends without fear of pangingilo.”
Don’t let the pain of sensitivity get in the way. Say No to Ngilo and Yes to those Great Little Moments!

“Having sensitive teeth can mean anything from getting a mild twinge to having severe discomfort that can last for several hours. It can also be an early warning sign of more serious dental problems.” said Dr. Rannier Reyes of the Philippine Periodontal Society.

“With the start of the summer season, everyone is now looking for someplace or something cool, be it at the beach, the pool or even just a quick respite from the heat with some cold drinks or a cone of ice cream, but if you have sensitive teeth, enjoying those cold treats can be a bit tricky,” says Heather Pelier, Incoming Consumer Healthcare General Manager, GSK Philippines.

Join and win the Axe Gold Pass: The ultimate ticket to live the Gold Life
Axe Gold Man Luis Manzano |
Men are constantly being bombarded with tips on what to wear and how to impress women but according to the opposite sex, there are two kinds of men they are most attracted to. AXE, the #1 Male Fragrance in the World, asked Filipina women what qualities they find most attractive in a man.
Sweet and romantic KC Montero |
AXE defined these types of men as the sweet “Chocolate Man” and the sophisticated “Gold Man”. The “Chocolate Man” is outgoing and laid-back, winning women over with his easy smile and sense of humor. The “Gold Man”, embodies masculinity, strength, and power. He has good taste and enjoys the finer things in life. These characteristics were interpreted in a previous variant, Axe Dark Temptation, which has hints of chocolate and their latest product, Axe Gold Temptation, which boasts of subtle hints of high quality vanilla, gold amber and cedar.
Solenn Heussaff |
Surprisingly, when asked which type of man they want to be, males online described themselves to be more of a Gold man rather than a Chocolate man.
This led AXE to recently introduce the Axe Gold Pass, a guy’s ticket to the Gold Life.
Launched at Republiq at Resorts World Manila, the Axe Gold Pass is the ultimate ticket to live the Gold Life. Up for grabs is a brand new 2014 Volkswagen Beetle, an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas where the winner and two guests will receive VIP treatment at the hottest clubs and a one-year, rent-free condominium unit at the Fort.
To win the AXE Gold Pass, guys need to buy Axe Gold Temptation, access the Gold Pass tab in the AXE Philippines Facebook page (facebook.com/AXEPhilippines), and get their friends to vote for them. The top 400 men with the most votes immediately qualify for the next round, where they will get trimmed down to the final three.
The three finalists will then compete in the Gold Pass Challenge, where the ultimate winner of the AXE Gold Pass will be determined by the Axe Gold Council made up of AXE Gold man Luis Manzano, Axe Dark Temptation man KC Montero, Axe Resident Hottie, Solenn Heussaff and Axe Ambassadors DJs Slick Rick, Tony Tony, Sam YG. Each Gold Council member also will mentor and groom the finalists to become the ultimate AXE Gold Man.

Luis Manzano: Why Suffer in Silence,When You Can Say No to Pangingilo
Sensodyne's latest endorser well known TV host Luis Manzano admits that he too suffers for "pangingilo" but when he starts using Sensodyne, it made a difference in his life and he could now eat and drink anything he wants, without suffering from dentine hypersensitivity.
Dentine hypersensitivity is the other name for sensitive teeth/pangingilo and according to a market research study, 9 out of 10 Filipinos have sensitive teeth. It’s not a disease, but rather a condition that develops over time due to common factors such as receding gums, over vigorous tooth brushing and teeth grinding.
When this becomes more than just a daily irritant, it’s time for you to switch to a toothpaste specifically formulated to effectively address your sensitive teeth problem. For this type of dilemma, Sensodyne is the most recommended brand by dentists for sensitive teeth/pangingilo.
Put a stop to this daily discomfort in our lives as GlaxoSmithKline, in collaboration with the Philippine Dental Association (PDA), is embarking on the advocacy to fight against sensitive teeth/pangingilo in the “Say No to Ngilo!” campaign. This remarkable commitment extends beyond a mere information campaign and toward proactive efforts to improve oral health care in the country, including the help of 2,000 dentists who have committed to the fight against dentine hypersensitivity through educating their patients on proper oral hygiene and using effective tools to combat pangingilo.
Sensodyne Products
“GlaxoSmithKline, through our brand, Sensodyne, has provided solutions to Filipinos for sensitive teeth. Sensodyne is the number-one sensitivity brand in the market, and most recommended brand by dentists for pangingilo. In GSK’s commitment to make every Filipino sensitivity-free, GSK launches Sensodyne sachets for only Php10 to drive accessibility and affordability for the solution to pangingilo.
“The Philippines is the first country in the world where Sensodyne is introducing the sachet format. This development is also significant because GSK is confident of the Philippines as an important emerging market, and this will definitely encourage more Filipinos to proactively manage their sensitive teeth and say no to ngilo,” says JeoffreyYulo, Consumer Healthcare General Manager, GSK Philippines.
Sensodyne has continually provided clinically proven relief from pangingilo, so more experts recommend Sensodyne. If you have pangingilo, switching to Sensodyne to replace your regular toothpaste can make a big difference not only in your enjoyment of everyday life, but also in your overall oral health.
Say No Ngilo
From its partnership with dentists, Sensodyne now extends its call against pangingilo to Filipinos nationwide. To symbolize this mission, Sensodyne presents the Commitment Circle. This circle represents the three-part alliance among the Philippine Dental Association, GlaxoSmithKline/Sensodyne, and its most important members— everyone in the country! Let’s all pledge to angilo-free life. With PDA’s support and our commitment and pledge, We Say No to Ngilo!
Sensodyne is dedicated to creating a future where every Filipino is sensitive-free. Sensodyne provides clinically proven relief and daily protection for sensitive teeth. The Sensodyne toothpaste range contain different active ingredients, which is either Potassium Nitrate for its base range that depolarizes the nerve and protects it from firing to progressively reduce the pain of sensitivity, or, for Sensodyne Rapid Relief, Strontium Acetate that helps prevent the flow of the fluid within the tubules that would otherwise cause the tooth pain. For Sensodyne Repair & Protect, it contains the advanced NovaMin breakthrough technology which is scientifically proven to help repair sensitive teeth/pangingilo by forming a tooth-like layer over exposed dentine to help continually repair and protect sensitive areas.
Whether your sensitive teeth/pangingilo is chronic and painful or just an infrequent tooth pain, Sensodyne will be able to help.
Sensodyne, from the multinational pharmaceuticals company GlaxoSmithKline, offers a range of specifically formulated toothpastes, toothbrush and floss. It works to relieve pain due to pangingilo and to provide clinically proven lasting protection all day, every day when used as directed. Sensodyne has become the favorite toothpaste for sensitive teeth/pangingilo of dentists around the world.
Sensodyne is now available in sachet nationwide for only Php10 (based on SRP). For more product information, log on http://sensodyne.com.ph/.
