Spanning six nations, the Grassroots Team APAC Grand Finals marks MLBB’s largest-ever grassroots tournament. The local qualifiers saw close to 300 grassroots teams from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, and Cambodia, compete at OPPO retail stores for a chance to emerge as local champions to represent their nations. OPPO Pioneers AI Innovation with World’s First On-Device MoE Implementation, Setting New Standards for AI Advancements

Global leading smart device brand OPPO has achieved a significant breakthrough by becoming the first company to implement the Mixture of Experts (MoE) architecture on-device. This milestone enhances AI processing efficiency, opens new possibilities for more advanced and flexible on-device AI, laying the groundwork for future innovations in AI's integration with mobile hardware.

As AI technology continues to evolve, more tasks are being performed on-device. However, large AI models require substantial computational power, which can impact performance, especially on devices with limited hardware resources. In response, OPPO has collaborated with leading chipset providers to implement the MoE architecture on-device to overcome these limitations.

 

The MoE architecture dynamically activates specialized sub-models (“experts”) to handle specific tasks, thereby significantly improving processing efficiency and cutting down computing and data transfer consumption. Lab tests reveal that on-device MoE architecture accelerates AI task speeds by approximately 40%, reducing resource demands and improving energy efficiency. This means faster AI responses, longer battery life and enhanced privacy as more tasks are handled locally on the device.

OPPO announces the winners of the Imagine IF Photography Awards

OPPO today announced the winners of its second annual imagine IF Photography Awards, a global competition celebrating creativity and innovation in mobile photography. Launched in January and closed for submissions in July, the competition saw over 1 million entries from 81 countries and regions. Including China, India, Mexico, Columbia, and Egypt were among the top five countries in terms of submissions.OPPO will showcase winning works at Paris Photo, the largest international art fair in November.

His awarding entry, ‘Summer byHutuo River,’ captures the fleeting joy of childhood with masterful use of light and movement. As the OPPO imagine IF Master, Mr. Liang Xibing will receive a grand prize of USD 24,000 and be appointed as an OPPO Photographer, enjoying priority access to various OPPO events.
