Powerpuff Girls celebrates Mama Jamma's Day Out!

My love for Powerpuff Girls started in the late 90s. When all the girls, of course not my age rooting for a Buttercup, Blossom and Bubbles. I was in my early 20s,  secretly adoring Buttercup, because of her aggressiveness, mean and tomboyish ways. Despite all those, she always managed to save the day together with the two Powerpuff Girls.

Cartoon Network recently celebrates Mother's Day with the  ThePowerpuff Girls Mama Jamma’s Day Out at the Activity Center in Trinoma Mall, Quezon City on May 8 and treated over 5,000 moms and kids to a day of bonding and fun.

“So once again, the day is saved. Thanks to ThePowerpuff Girls!” The citizens of Townsville are always grateful to the superhero trio for saving the world before bedtime. In reality, our days are saved mostly by superheroes who have been with us since day one – our mothers – and more often than not, we forget to thank them for all the great things they have done.

Families enjoyed the Mayor of Townsville’s Photobooth, where they posed like they’re flying over the city of Townsville; the Chemistea Lab, where kids concocted their own delicious beverages; and Bento Baon, where moms and kids bonded over learning how to prepare super-cute, crafty and yummy lunchboxes perfect for school.

In addition, kids took part in Poaky Oaks Art Classes where they learned to make their own Pillow Puff pillows, design their own picture frames, inflate their own balloons and have their face and body painted. To make this Mother’s Day more memorable, kids were also encouraged to create their own Powerpledge Accessories and exercise their creativity as they make their little promises to their moms. Nothing says “I love you, mom” more than a well-kept promise.

ThePowerpuff Girls Mama Jamma’s Day Out was hosted by Karel Marquez, with performances by the Pop Girls and special appearance from celebrity mom Camille Prats and her son. For more information, visit the event page:https://www.facebook.com/events/1127863173911696.

Cartoon Network brings summer camp festival Toonfest 2015

Cartoon Network is home to best known and well loved cartoons such as Ben 10,  Adventure Time, and The Amazing World of Gumball.  The kids no.1 tv show once produced Powerpuff Girls Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup which I missed a lot but heard that Cartoon Network have plans of bringing it back next year, which is good news from Powerpuff Girls fans!

Finn and Jake are the two popular characters from Adventure Time, I hate to admit but despite my age I get to watch these two every weekends with my grandchild Finn, named after Finn the character. I loved how Finn and Jake (with his stretchy powers)  fights the evil together with Princess Bubblegum. Every episode teaches good life lessons for kids and adults as well.

Cartoon Network capped off their summer vacation just in time for the kids vacation with their TOONFEST 2015 last May 23 at SM Moa Music Hall. The festival showcased their favorite cartoon characters from Cartoon Network, now the number one kids' channel in the Philippines and hosted the free-for-all event treat for kids of all ages.

Now on its second year, Toonfest returned as a summer camp festival inspired by Cartoon Network’s hit shows. Kids and families engaged in activities including face painting, photo-booth selfies, arts and crafts, and many more.

Visitors had the chance to meet and greet the stars from the popular hit series Adventure Time, Ben 10: Omniverse and The Amazing World of Gumball. Live musical acts also filled the festival with music as participants danced and sang along to familiar Cartoon Network tunes.

It was the perfect send-off to a hot summer and many of the participants look forward to next year’s Toonfest. Cartoon Network Toonfest 2015 was supported by Wiggles, Johnson’s and Johnson’s Active Fresh; in participation with Swift Mighty Meaty and Nerf; and made possible by Appebon, Argentina Meat Loaf, and Jollibee. Special thanks to Cignal, SM Mall of Asia and Grab Taxi. For more details, visit the Cartoon Network Toonfest 2015: Philippines event page on Facebook or CartoonNetworkAsia.com.

Powerpuff Girls return to Cartoon Network

Get ready to save the world before bedtime as Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup return to TV screens worldwide with an all-new series, slated to launch in 2016.

“The original Powerpuff Girls was a franchise phenomenon for Cartoon Network, paving the way for a new generation of innovative storytellers and enthusiastic fans worldwide,” said Rob Sorcher, Cartoon Network’s chief content officer, at the 2014 Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. “We are calling these girls back into action based upon an overwhelming demand for sugar, spice and Chemical X.”

One of Cartoon Network’s most enduring original series, The Powerpuff Girls has earned two Emmy Awards along with five nominations and countless animation honors throughout its 78-episode run which ended in 2005. The series also inspired a feature film in 2003, a 10th anniversary special and a re-imagined CG special, The Powerpuff Girls: Dance Pantsed, which aired on Cartoon Network in January 2014 and featured Ringo Starr. The new series will be produced by Cartoon Network Studios.

The Powerpuff Girls, which debuted on Cartoon Network in 1998, was created by Craig McCracken and centers on three sugar-coated superheroes whose mission in life alternates between going to school, fighting crime and winning at hopscotch.
