SM Supermalls and Toy Kingdom launched a play and retail pop-up themed “The Wonder of Play” at SM MOA

SM Supermalls and Toy Kingdom launched a play and retail pop-up themed “The Wonder of Play” with four activity zones specially designed for families, available at SM Mall of Asia until May 7, 2023. As part of Disney’s 100^th anniversary, the Wonder of Play pop-up features beloved stories and characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.  

 

Families in the Philippines can look forward to four themed activity zones that strive to inspire new and creative playtime ideas. Visitors to the Wonder of Play pop-up are encouraged to unlock special moments together, every day through play.  

●      Dress up like your favorite Disney, Pixar and Marvel characters! Kids may try on and pose with costumes inspired by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse; Disney Princess heroines; characters from Cars and Marvel Super Heroes. 

●      Get groovy with your dancing shoes at the Mickey & Friends Music Jam backdrop where children and grown-ups alike will be able to take a fabulous photo for keepsake. 

●      Hit the ‘open road’ in the Pixar-themed zone. Inspired by Lightning McQueen’s journey in Cars, kids can hop on a bike or scooter to ‘travel’ around the zone.

The SM Store opens 2022 by sharing toys with partner organizations around the country

Despite the pandemic, The SM Store’s Share-A-Toy collected more than 45,000 toys in December 2021. Customers and partner organizations donated new and pre-loved toys to The SM Store and Toy Kingdom branches nationwide. Customers received a P100 discount voucher for every donation courtesy of The SM Store.

The toys collected will be distributed to children from the SM Foundation and The SM Store partner organizations. Among the recipients in Metro Manila are pediatric patients from the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, and the Philippine General Hospital. 

Recipients outside Metro Manila include non-government organizations such as the Heart Warriors Tarlac Chapter and the Islamic orphanages under the Arkat Lawanen network in Mindanao. Indigenous groups, the Mangyan community in Sipitsaburan, Puerto Galera, Palawan tribe in Brooke’s Point, and the Panay Bukidnon in Calinog, Ilo-ilo, will also receive toys from The SM Store’s Share A Toy. 

In addition to the toys collected from The SM Store and Toy Kingdom branches, a global resourcing company and its employees shared 2,000 gift boxes containing educational materials and toys. Students of Doña Luisa Obieta Elementary School in Amungan, Iba, and the Sta. Martha Elementary School in Pangolingan, Palauig, will receive these donations. Both schools cater to the Aeta community in Zambales. Children of fishing folks from Panglit Elementary School will also receive toys and learning materials.

Nickelodeon prepares the ultimate scarefest this halloween!

Let your kids have a great party this holloween, by trooping to SMX MOA, and have the best scare of their lives with their Nickelodeon favorite childhood heroes.

It’s time to scream and shout as Nickelodeon prepares the ultimate scarefest this Halloween with its annual themed party. Kids of all ages are called on to join this year’s “Mutant Mayhem” on October 31, 2 PM, at Hall 1 of SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

A homage to everyone’s favorite childhood heroes in a half shell, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as other mutants from popular Nickelodeon shows, this year’s theme celebrates the supernatural in all its forms, from the fairly mischievous to the downright menacing.

One of this year’s most anticipated trick-or-treat events is complete with entertainment, attractions, games and freebies that make for a hauntingly memorable Halloween experience. From the rooftops to the sewers, boys and girls will be thrilled to no end with the line-up of stage games, booth activities and surprise appearances and performances from their favorite Nick characters.

Of course, what is Halloween without the strange ensembles and monstrous make-up? This year’s costume contest shines the spotlight on kids who stand out in the most creative, scariest or cutest looks. Rounding out the fun-filled event are the spooktacular prizes and goodies to be given away, from dangerously cool merchandise to wickedly yummy treats.

From October 1 to 31, Mutant Mayhem freaks can grab two free tickets to the spine-tingling event of the season for a minimum single receipt purchase of P1000 at any participating Toy Kingdom and Toy Kingdom Express stores.

Those up for a little contest can also score tickets by answering this simple question:  If you were a mutant, what would be your special skills or powers? This is open to kids ages seven to 14 years old. Just log on to nick-asia.com, register, and send in your reply. 50 kids with the best answers will get four tickets each to the event.
