Electrolux find solutions to your most common laundry dilemmas from FashionCare Season 2 campaign

Before I buy any clothes, I usually take into consideration texture of the garments,  if tags on most of my clothes instruct to hand wash, or dry-clean. I am very hands on with my clothes especially with the branded ones.  I have scheduled laundry on weekends.

I only hand wash delicates and my underwears. The rest I put in my washing machine using only organic laundry liquid/powder to reduce the effects of color loss over time especially on dark tops, dresses and jackets.

Just like Electrolux PH  FashionCare Ambassador Rajo Laurel,  my laba tip is always use a mesh bag for undies, bras and delicate tops/dresses. To prevent them from wringing and losing its shape.

Electrolux PH recently launched FashionCare Season 2 Party graced by Electrolux Philippines FashionCare Ambassador Rajo Laurel and FashionCare Council Members Amina Aranaz-Alunan and Janice Villanueva last August 30 at White Space Makati.

The Electrolux Ambassadors put the UltimateCare washer-dryer to the test by washing their most delicate fabrics. While waiting for their clothes, they have given tips on how to take care of their most delicate fabrics to the audience.

Electrolux Philippines Ambassador Rajo Laurel told that he usually put any beaded clothes inside any stocking or mesh bag to prevent it from breaking loose or catching other garments.

Washing machines have become a reliable partner of many Filipino households in doing their laundry as it saves more time than washing by hand. Yet when it comes to caring for clothes, many women still have trust issues when it comes to their washing machines. That is the concern that Electrolux seeks to address as it launches the second season of its FashionCare Campaign, which seeks to change the way women do their laundry.

Laundry Woes

To find out more about women’s laundry woes, Electrolux Philippines conducted a research in partnership with Mommy Mundo, one of the country’s leading mom communities. When asked about what fabrics they were afraid to wash using their washing machine, 67% of the respondent moms say that they are afraid to machine wash their silk clothing, followed by delicate wear (52%), cashmere clothing (40%), and wool clothing (39%).

Among the top reasons why women hesitate to put their clothes in washing machines are more than half of them or 58% think it might ruin the clothes, while some think that machine wash can cause fabric shrinkage (17%) or fading of colors (4%).

When it comes to doing laundry, moms worry about more than just cleaning. Among their top 3 laundry concerns are pilling of clothes or what we call himulmol, stubborn stains and misshaping of clothes - two of them are related to caring for the fabric. Fabric care remains one of the unfulfilled needs of moms as 77% of these women look for fabric care features when they buy washing machines.

The FashionCare Challenge

With women’s laundry concerns in mind, Electrolux created the UltimateCare line of washing machines and dryers, designed to help women care for their clothes.

At the FashionCare Season 2 Launch Party, Electrolux Philippines FashionCare Ambassador Rajo Laurel and FashionCare Council Members Amina Aranaz-Alunan and Janice Villanueva put the UltimateCare washer-dryer to the test.

Renowned fashion designer and Electrolux FashionCare Ambassador Rajo Laurel challenged Electrolux to wash one of his designer pieces.

“My passion for clothes extends to how I take care of them. Doing your laundry is more than just about making your clothes clean. It’s making sure that your clothes look better, newer, longer,” shared Rajo during the event.

Meanwhile Amina Aranaz-Alunan, founder, executive director and teacher of SoFA Design Institute, and Creative Director of fashion accessories and bag label ARANÁZ, put in a silk scarf, saying that she normally wouldn’t wash silk tops, scarves, knitted items and sweaters in the wash as they “might break, have holes or snag.”

Janice Villlanueva, successful mompreneur and founder of Mommy Mundo, likewise shared the same apprehensions.

“For items like formal wear, underwear, and knits, I’m always afraid to put it in the wash because it can damage the fabric and it will fade or get deformed,” Villanueva said. “Especially if the bras have underwire, or for formal clothes, it might shrink, or for knitwear, it might stretch out of shape.”

Designed to care for clothes

Electrolux is confident that its latest line of washing machines would rise to the challenge as its UltimateCare washing machines comes with UltraMix™ technology to help moms not only get better stain removal but better fabric care, helping them retain the color, shape, and softness of their clothes from delicate wear to designer pieces.

The UltraMix™ technology gives women the results of a hot wash for better stain and dirt removal, yet uses a lower, gentler temperature. Detergent and water are pre-mixed in a special chamber before the beginning of the cycle to maximize cleaning power at a lower temperature. It delivers deeper clean and 31% better colour care, to ensure your favorites look newer for longer

Besides the powerful yet gentle cleaning of UltraMix™, Electrolux UltimateCare washing machines extend the life of clothes with Vapour Action, designed to soften fabric while reducing allergens by up to 99.9% that’s gives women the assurance of better care for your clothes for years to come. The Woolmark certified cycle approved by the Woolmark Company, the global authority on wool, will safely launder these precious garments.

Electrolux UltimateCare washing machines also has Eco Inverter technology that offers high energy efficiency that reduces energy consumption by 75% and save time by 44%. Women can also enjoy the flexibility and convenience to toss in forgotten items during the washing cycle with add clothes feature.

“As a mom, I understand that many women still prefer to handwash certain items of clothing but we at Electrolux want to share that now, there is a washing machine that cares for your clothes and your family’s clothes as much as you do,” shared Andrea Pionilla, Country Marketing Manager of Electrolux. “With the FashionCare Campaign, Electrolux wants to introduce a better way of taking care of our machine wash-sensitive clothes. With the Electrolux UltimateCare washing machines and dryers, you not only get cleaning but fabric care that makes clothes look newer for longer.”

In line with its FashionCare campaign, Electrolux is offering several great deals on its washing machines, with offers up to 25% off on selected front load washing machines and washer dryers.  Women can also avail of selected Electrolux Front Load Washing Machines and get 25% off on an Electrolux Front Load Dryer. Also included is a free stacking kit and installation valued at PhP 3,049 with this fantastic bundle deal. Promo period runs from July 1 to September 30, 2018.

Electrolux Delightful-E transforms worn out clothes into quilts with GawadKalinga’sTrese

I was first exposed to idea of service to others when a co-employee suffered a Dengue fever stage 4 and badly needed a blood transfusion. I have become a blood donor by accident, but continued on the deed after that,  I wanted to save lives by blood letting. Giving has a healing effect, believe me. Everybody has each share of helping the needy. I have  seen individuals inspired by others taking that first step, and have consequently taken the first step themselves.

When I received an invite for the Gawad Kalinga's Trese Community in Payatas thru Electrolux (Fleishman-HillardPH) I said yes right away. It was a 45 minute drive away from QC on a sunny morning last October 14, 2014.  It was my first time to visit Gawad Kalinga's Trese, I wanted to meet the people behind the good cause.

Electrolux with its long running advocacy of collecting and laundering clothes for calamity-stricken survivors, partners up with Gawad Kalinga's Trese in recycling worn out clothes into beautiful quilts for the new born babies and children in orphanages. What started as a small act of giving has continued to grow as each person deepens their commitment to service.

Gawad Kalinga Trese' s Supervisor Ate Lita

Ate Lita's co worker sewing quilts

We witnessed how donated clothes sewn into colorful quilts that would make the most beautiful blanket an orphan could used. One of the most touching and inspirational stories I have seen and heard is that of Ate Lita, their supervisor at Trese Community, she started sewing quilts by herself and then recruited her neighbors, together they have earned enough to fend for their family. They have sewn quilts for distribution to orphanages, and accepted sewing job for other companies as well.

Sharing with this tradition, Electrolux, a global leader in home appliances, has been collecting and laundering clothes for calamity-stricken survivors for several years now. This year, Electrolux, through its Delightful-E Simple campaign, innovated this long-running advocacy.

Together with Gawad Kalinga’s Trese community, Electrolux will upcycle unusable clothes into quilts for children and new born babies in orphanages and other communities.

“Electrolux believes that there must be dignity in the clothes that we donate. To make sure that every piece of clothing is in good condition, we will sort out the worn out, unwearable ones, then upcycle them into quilts with the help of Trese” said Andrea Pionilla, Electrolux Marketing Manager. “With this partnership, we aim not only to give quilts to children and new born babies but also another source of livelihood for this Payatas community.”

Its Delightful-E Simple to Share your pre-loved clothes

Saving and Sharing made Delightful-E Simple with Electrolux

Its important for every mother to have time management. Staying focused on everything that you have done in a day accurately,  saves time and energy.  Staying focused becomes the new time management fad. Pair that with a simpler tasks and you can do two things easily, and lets you save time for another chores in the house. Time management also includes taking care of yourself, physically and mentally. The less stressed you are, the more you will be able to work well and be productive for the day and  get everything done that needs doing. Washing the laundry has become too tasking for every mother or everyone for that matter. We have to choose the best laundry partner by knowing how well it works, tub size is also an important factor to consider, the price and how energy efficient the unit is.

Electrolux, a global leader in home appliances, showed moms how simple it is to save and share with its new,Delightful-E Simple, launched last July 30 at Le Jardin, Taguig coinciding with their pre-loved clothes donation drive.  The event was hosted by Delamar, and she is joined by the Electrolux Ambassadors; Cheska Garcia Kramer, Janice Crisostomo-Villanueva; Chef Rosebud Benitez and Chef Bruce Lim.

Delightful-E Simple to Save

Electrolux’s annual clothes donation drive is back with a twist. This year, Electrolux will continue to collect and wash your donated pre-loved clothes, but will add a personal touch to the advocacy.

From simply collecting pre-loved clothes for calamity-stricken survivors, Electrolux, in partnership with Gawad Kalinga’s Trese, will add extra warmth by transforming unusable donated clothes into quilts for new born babies from orphanages and other communities.

Quilts are traditionally made to preserve a story told by each piece of fabric sewn to form it.In Delightful-E Simple to Share, these quilts will document a story of underprivileged moms helping new-borns in need. This new twist to Electrolux’s advocacy aims to show that sharing goes beyond donating clothes.“Through Delightful-E Simple, we hope to mark the difference between giving and sharing. For when we share, we freely impart a piece of ourselves—our time, effort, and concern. Hence, we are able to give more,” explains Pionilla.

Electrolux understands that every peso and second counts,” said Andrea Pionilla, Marketing Manager of Electrolux Philippines. “This is the reason  behind Delightful-E Simple. We want to help moms save not just money but also their precious time by making their everyday tasks delightfully simple and easy.”

Delightful-E equipped Homes with Electrolux

Just thinking about my "tatay's" kitchen brings me back to my childhood. That smell of his soy squid with white wine and the recipe's he learned from his former boss-- and the times when I would hide hotdogs in my pockets everytime he cooked spaghetti (we were banned from eating anything with preservatives/processed meat back then) .

Not to be outdone, nanay would prepare her version of Mechado with coconut milk, which has become staple of every celebration--or by special request.

That was a time when life was less stressful, simpler and happier.

Electrolux seeks to bring back those happy moments of today, not only in the kitchen but throughout the entire house as it launches its Delightful-E campaign during a  "housewarming" party held at its new office in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Delightful-E Yummy brings the delight back in everyday home activities with the family. These bonding moments become an avenue for enriching the culinary experience of food preparation and sharing meals with the family.

“Electrolux believes that the kitchen is the heart of the home,” shares Andrea Pionilla, Marketing Manager, Electrolux Philippines, Inc. “Delightful-E Yummy capitalizes on the simple yet most treasured family moments spent inside the kitchen as well as the stories that come with it.”

The event featured a cooking show with a twist wherein Electrolux brand endorsers—  celebrity chefs Chef Rosebud Benitez, Chef Bruce Lim, Chezka Kramer and daughter Kendra and mompreneur Janice Villanueva—shared family recipes that have touched their lives.

Delamar hosted the event with Electrolux endorsers Chef Bruce Lim and Janice Crisostomo-Villanueva.

To personify the campaign, Electrolux introduced its newest set of brand endorsers who best represent and embody what Delightful-E Yummy aims to promote.

“With everything I am juggling, sometimes it’s tough to find time to bond with my family,” shares Janice Crisostomo-Villanueva. Janice is the founder of Mommy Mundo, a family-focused online portal comprised of an active community of over 30,000 women.“This is why I enjoy weekends when there are less things to attend to. I spend more time in the kitchen baking and preparing our family’s favorite dishes—sometimes my children stay and watch, and learn how to do the recipes as well.”

“The best thing about being an Electrolux brand endorser is that I am able to promote strong family ties with the brand,” says Cheska Kramer, a celebrity mom of three and wife to basketball star, Doug Kramer.“Doing simple chores with the family becomes bonding moments with the help of Electrolux home appliances.”

Having a newborn baby in the house is a big joy to us,” says Chef Rosebud Benitez-Velasco, who recently gave birth to her baby, Kaeden. “But now I have less time for cooking and doing household chores. I love having Electrolux products because they are reliable and easy to use. Having these as my assistants in the kitchen and around the house really cut down the list of things I need to worry about.”

Chef Bruce Lim shares, “I am proud to be working with Electrolux, a brand that puts importance to the value of family. Families need not go out of the house to bond; even doing simple chores at home can be enjoyable when done together. I bring my son with me to the kitchen so he can watch and learn what I love to do, and I tell him stories about the dishes I make too.”

It was a day of delightful announcements as Electrolux also kicked off its digital campaign with the Delightful-E Yummy online photo contest, Delightful-E Yummy Web Series on Youtube, and Your Moments with Mommy consumer contest.
