The 7-Eleven Run 2023 is open to all beginner and professional runners and is an exciting avenue for an outdoor date with friends and families


In keeping with their annual run series tradition, 7-Eleven propels 2023 with a two-day fun run event encouraging everyone to step on the tracks for their 11th installment. Sprinting on February 4 and 5, the country’s go-to convenience store chain strengthens their hallmark of convenience by championing the event as an avenue for unifying recreation and fundraising. 7-Eleven enjoins communities to create change where proceeds of the run will be donated to the beneficiaries of Philseven Foundation, Inc., 7-Eleven’s non-profit social advocacy arm. 

The 7-Eleven Run 2023 is open to all beginner and professional runners and is an exciting avenue for an outdoor date with friends and families. Multiple categories from 1k3k, 5k, 10k, 10k Buddy, 21K, 32K, and up to 42k are up to enjoy in the simultaneous event happening in three locations: Filinvest, Alabang in Metro Manila, SM Seaside City, in Cebu City, and SM City Davao in Davao City. 



This year’s run converges personal and community benefits as medals and cash prizes await winners of all categories at the finish line. More tokens are also to be awarded to the top three male and female finishers of the 21k, 32k, and 42k categories as they win the opportunity of representing the country in an international race.

 

Racers may join in two ways: paid or promo registration. The paid registration period runs until January 22, 2023 where prices vary according to participants’ chosen category. Personal Collection participates in international coastal cleanup day


 

Personal Collection Direct Selling, Inc. strengthens its commitment to protecting and preserving the environment by taking part in the International Coastal Cleanup Day spearheaded by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

 

Now on its 36th year, the International Coastal Cleanup Day is a worldwide movement that engages people to remove trash from coastlines and waterways around the globe. The data gathered from the cleanup drive is submitted to the US-based NGO Ocean Conservancy, serving as a basis for creating policies that concern marine conservation. Dealers and employees from Personal Collection joined other volunteers from private companies, NGOs, and the public as they collected tons of wastes that pollute Metro Manila coastlines.

Direct selling company Personal Collection recently took part in the International Coastal Cleanup Day to further strengthen the company’s commitment to help preserve and protect the environment.


Over 15,000 volunteers took part in the environmental campaign which was held simultaneously in eight sites in Metro Manila, including the SM Mall of Asia seaside area, Las Piñas-Parañaque Wetland Park, Dolomite Beach, BASECO Beach, Tanza Marine Park, Tangos North and South, and behind the CCP Complex in Pasay. With the theme “Fighting for a Trash-Free Manila Bay,” the cleanup drive is in line with the government’s Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program. Roughly 100,000 sacks of trash were collected during the event. DENR reported that plastic sachets and plastic bottles were among the top items collected – an environmental concern that Personal Collection has since been addressing through the #GreenLifeGreatLife movement.

 

Launched in 2021, the #GreenLifeGreatLife movement saw the company’s shift from recyclable to biodegradable packaging, starting with its top-selling household products. The biodegradable packaging was designed to decompose within five to ten years in landfill conditions, thereby reducing the company’s carbon footprint. This move puts Personal Collection at the forefront of promoting environmental responsibility, with a lifelong commitment to making the world a better place for the environment and for the future generations.

 

Personal Collection’s staunch support for the International Coastal Cleanup Day is just one of the company’s continuing efforts in environmental conservation under the #GreenLifeGreatLife movement. Since 2021, the company has planted over 115,000 mangroves and trees in different parts of the country to help protect the country’s coastlines from erosion and revive marine life. These include over 15,400 trees and mangroves in Bulacan, Tanay, Rizal, and La Mesa Eco Park, Quezon City in the past few months since April 2021. In the same period, tons of trash were collected during coastal and estero clean-ups in Metro Manila, Antipolo, Batangas, Cavite, and Negros Oriental.

Brittany Corporation hosted the full Easter egg hunt experience at Amore, Portofino


Easter egg hunts may have taken a bit of a hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic but many of the country’s Easter-related events and festivities were back recently. Different locations across the country have hosted their respective Easter-related events as people went outside again and prepared to welcome the Easter spirit. 

While the pandemic has deprived many kids of the fun experiences, Amore at Portofino, Brittany Corporation’s 32-hectare Tuscan-inspired exclusive gated community located within Vista City, has worked to ensure Easter is not one of them. 

Together with Global Land Property Management, Inc., Brittany Corporation hosted and brought back the full Easter egg hunt experience with a multitude of colors and special treats exclusively for Amore at Portofino homeowners and their kids last April 17, 2022 at the clubhouse. 

 

The fun-filled Easter Sunday event featured kids-friendly activities like craft projects, balloon curation, magic show, and the much-awaited Easter egg hunt. 

Families were able to play, take photos, meet other homeowners, and still felt safe and truly enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors and the joy of the holiday tradition. 

 

“I, myself, have a 6-year-old and a 10-year-old and they love coming to events. The Easter activity was so special for them”, shared one of Amore at Portofino homeowners. 

 

“We never in a million years could have asked for or expected this, that’s why we’re grateful to Brittany and the Homeowners Association of Amore at Portofino for organizing this activity”, she added. 

 

The event, which took place last weekend was attended by over 50 residents and their families.

Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk sought to uplift vulnerable communities and share the spirit of giving to foster kids


As we greet a new year, new challenges have inevitably arisen given the current state of the world. With these problems that we face during these uncertain times, Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk sought to uplift vulnerable communities and share the spirit of giving. Last Christmas, Alaska invited members of its Facebook community, MOMs of Alaska (MOMAs), to make the holidays a little brighter for the children from the company’s partner orphanages, Christian Compassion Ministries Foundation, Inc. and House of Refuge Foundation, Inc. Over a hundred members of the Alaska MOMAs community came together to create special Christmas cards, with creative designs and personalized messages dedicated to each of the children.

Alaska collected the Christmas cards and held a turnover with the partner institutions, donating 70 days’ worth of “Lakas at Talas” in the form of Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk products that can give the children the added nutrition to help with their brain and body development while they are growing. Gift packs with toys and educational materials were also included in the turnover, which the children welcomed with smiles and loud cheers.

 

Mailyn Balairos, Center Head of Christian Compassion Ministries Foundation, Inc. (CCMFI), a church-based Christian organization that aims to provide children with educational assistance, shelter, medical aid, skills training and nourish their souls with the word of God, shared her appreciation to the moms who took their time to create Christmas cards for the children under their care. “On behalf of CCMFI and the children, I wanted to convey my deepest gratitude to the moms of Alaska and to Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk for this unforgettable event for the children,” Mailyn shared.
