Calyxta Beauty turns one!

Calyxta recently celebrates its first anniversary as an online beauty store last Dec 3 at the Makati Diamond  Residences, Makati. The roof deck was transformed to a full blown beauty spa.
The beauty pampering event was attended by its Marketing Manager Erica Paredes, Calyxta Cover Girl Catriona Gray, Quark Henares, Carla Humpries, Cat Juan and some beauty celebrities and bloggers.

 I have been following Erica Paredes at her instagram account last year, I love that her feeds inspire me what make up to use and buy aside from loving her quirky fashion style too.  It all started with that one hawaiian polo ootd with which she partners with a skater denim skirt. She almost get away with everything she wears.

I came about Calyxta a few months ago for that one elusive beauty product that I have been shipping from abroad.  It just came as a surprise that Calyxta carries the same swatch that I have been using. It was a breeze buying from their online, after payment the product would be deliver in your doorstep pronto.

The first makeover beauty pampering party anniversary was well attended. We lined up for our favorite booth.  The brands that were available for testing are Ciaté London, Toni&Guy, Maybelline, Browhaus, Strip, My Amazing Blow Dry Secret, and Enza Nail Spa.

The first booth that I availed was the Toni&Guy hair make over.  I wanted to have the big locks for a change since my hair is long enough for that big curls.  My hair went from blah to vavavoom after the Toni & Guy crew's blow dry session. The Toni & Guy's Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray  added life  and oomph to my dull hair with just a few spray, plus it smells good too almost like vanilla.

Since all the beauty counters were too busy for the guests and the reservation was long enough to cover me at 6pm. I opted to just have a winged eyeliner at the Maybelline beauty counter, I never mastered the art of putting a cat eye or a winged eyeliner. The SA at the Maybelline counter showed me the tricks. First is to apply pencil eyeliner to your upper lash line. Hold your eyeliner pencil at the end point of your bottom lash line. Point it upward diagonally so that it looks like a continuation of your lower lash line. Then for the finale, draw a thin diagonal line out to act as the wing.

Everyone loves parties. Everyone also loves to be pampered. Put the two together, and you’ve got an experience that is sure to make everyone feel special. To celebrate their 12-month milestone, Calyxta invited media friends and partners to a “Beauty Fair” with cocktails and beats from DJ Quark Henares.  For those who only discovered about the site during the launch, Calyxta came prepared by providing a product display with tablets for people to browse and learn their way around the site.
