Cebu Pacific launches its “March Pinabongga” month-long seat sale

Cebu Pacific (CEB: PSE) passengers are in for a special treat as the Philippines’ leading airline in celebration of its 27th anniversary.

From 10AM on March 1 until March 31, CEB travelers can book their flights and fly right away across the airline’s widest domestic network for as low as PHP199 one-way base fare, exclusive of surcharges and fees. Travel period is from March 1 to August 31, 2023.

Even better, the airline is also offering up to 27% off on select add-ons to make flying more convenient for its passengers.

As CEB turns 27, expect more surprises to come this March that will surely, and quite literally, take you to places.

"Cebu Pacific has come a long way since we flew our first flight 27 years ago. What better way to celebrate this milestone than by giving back to the passengers to whom we owe our success,” said Carmina Romero, Cebu Pacific Director for Corporate Communications.

CEB flew its maiden voyage from Manila to Cebu on March 8, 1996. Since then, the airline has made it its mission to enable every Juan to fly by offering affordable and accessible flights and continuously ramping up its network.

CEB is set to restore 100% of its pre-COVID network and capacity in March 2023. It now flies to 34 domestic destinations and is set to reinstate all its 25 international destinations in the first quarter of the year.

Let’s Fly Juans More to Seoul and Southeast Asia

With international destinations easing travel requirements for tourists, many Filipinos are looking to book affordable flights for their next vacation.

The Philippines’ leading airline, Cebu Pacific (CEB) is at the forefront of providing low fares for everyJuan, both for international and domestic flights. And with 16 destinations in its international network now widely open for leisure travel, CEB is continuously ramping up its frequencies to give passengers more flight options.

“We look forward to fly more Juans, not only within the Philippines but also internationally. Many countries have eased travel requirements, and lifted the negative COVID-19 test result requirement. We believe the reopening of borders, coupled with CEB’s trademark low fares and continuous safety initiatives, will boost travel between the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region,” said Candice Iyog, CEB Vice President for Marketing & Customer Experience.

The airline also launches a special seat sale to encourage everyJuan to fly international, for less. Beginning August 22 until August 25, 2022, seats to top international destinations will be up for grabs for as low as PHP 599 one-way base fare. Travel period is from October 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023.

Here are some destinations that are easy to fly to and for less via Cebu Pacific:

Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, Vietnam

Known as one of the most affordable countries to visit, Vietnam is a popular choice among travelers looking for a unique cultural and gastronomic adventure. There are a couple ways one can make this a reality.

In Ho Chi Minh, travelers can check out the stunning French architecture of Saigon, grab traditional Vietnamese food in District 1 (don’t forget the banh mi!), visit museums, and much more for less than $120 (around P6,000) on a weekend.

The capital city of Hanoi can also be explored in one weekend. The sprawling commercial city will lead tourists to hole-in-the-wall food joints in the Old Quarter and local bars around the city. They can also visit the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh Museum. All this for less than $100 (around P5,000).

CEB offers 4x weekly flights from Manila to Ho Chi Minh, and up to 4x weekly from Manila to Hanoi.

Bali and Jakarta, Indonesia

Bali is on every beach lover’s bucket list. Apart from its luxurious beach resorts, it’s well-known for its lush landscapes, surf spots, and ancient temples around the island. To get more bang for your buck, avail of tour packages for as low as P2,000 to explore Bali’s wildlife, cultural sites, and the must-see spots in Ubud. Booking a private van for small group trips is also a cost-efficient way to get around the island during your stay.

Jakarta also offers a variety of attractions just within the city. Whether you want to learn more about Indonesia’s history and culture at The National Museum, or just shop and sample cuisine in Central Jakarta – everything is within reach in this capital city.

CEB currently offers thrice weekly flights from Manila to Bali and Jakarta. By September, Manila to Bali flights will become a five-times-a-week service, and then 7x weekly by October 1 this year.

Seoul, South Korea

Seoul has a lot of budget-friendly spots for visitors. The first thing they should check out are the wide selection of cheap, filling street food for snacks and meals to get them through the day. There are also many Instagram-worthy cafes around the city for a dose of coffee and boba.

There’s no shortage of cultural adventures either with museums charging affordable entrance fees, like the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art ($9 or around P500 for the permanent exhibition), which houses a collection of traditional and modern Korean art; and the Seoul Museum of Art (free entry).

CEB offers flights from Manila to Seoul 7x weekly, and from Cebu to Seoul up to 7x weekly.

Singapore

Singapore has a diverse cultural background that one can experience through tourist spots, food, and historical sites across the country. The city-state has a reputation for being pricey country but exploring it doesn’t have to cost an arm and leg as many popular scenic locations are open to the public, such as the Jewel Changi Airport Waterfall, Botanic Gardens, and Merlion Park. For food, one can find plenty of hawker centers that serve delicious and affordable meals. Don’t forget to try local laksa, satay, and char kway teow!

CEB flies from Manila to Singapore twice daily, while its Cebu to Singapore flights are thrice weekly.

Bangkok, Thailand

The bustling city of Bangkok is known for its vibrant street food culture, night markets, cultural sites, and a growing art scene. Tourists can avail of day tours to explore local markets (the Floating Market is a must-visit) and temples for around P1,500, depending on the package. They can also check out Bangkok Food Tours to immerse themselves into Thai cuisine.

CEB offers flights from Manila to Bangkok up to 7x weekly.

Let’s Fly Juans More and travel international for less with Cebu Pacific’s wide network coupled with guaranteed low fares. Passengers are advised to check travel requirements before boarding, and to ensure that their updated COVID-19 booster is reflected in their VaxCertPH certificates or BOQ yellow cards. Cebu Pacific partners with PUBG MOBILE to launch historic Ibong Adarna-themed flight

Just recently, Cebu Pacific Air, the country’s leading airline, operated a mobile game-themed flight to introduce Tencent Games’ PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) MOBILE’s newest IP, Phoenix Adarna. An airport and in-flight experience featuring Adarna-inspired costumes, trivia games, and merchandise giveaways made the flight the first-of-its-kind in Southeast Asian aviation history.

PUBG MOBILE players will embark on a series of heroic missions inspired by the Philippine mythological bird Adarna, the fabled creature that heals all ailments. Players must complete missions within a time limit to unlock rewards or purchase in-game currency to become invincible like Adarna, and dress themselves in eye-catching items such as Agent Phoenix Set backpacks, a frame, parachute and even acquire a buggy. The flight replicates the adventure a hero undergoes in search of this famed fowl.

"We are excited to create this one-of-a-kind experience for our passengers, and the PUBG MOBILE gaming community. As a proudly Filipino carrier, we continue to look for fun ways to promote Philippine culture and tourism. We anticipated this to be the first of several collaborations with industry partners such as Tencent Games,” said Candice Iyog, CEB VP for Marketing and Customer Experience.

Benj Dalmacio, Senior Business Development Manager for PUBG MOBILE Philippines echoes this excitement for this first-of-its-kind collaboration in the Philippines and Southeast Asia: “In PUBG MOBILE, we continue to make the game relevant to our target audience: young adults. The Ibong Adarna, our country’s very own phoenix, symbolizes hope and rebirth and holds a significant place in Philippine literature. We are proud for our platform to become a place of appreciation and learning of Filipino culture as well as helping in promoting the Philippine tourism industry. We are honored to partner with the country’s leading airline as they recognize the growing gaming community and live up to their fun brand.”

Gaming video creators Rojean Delos Reyes and Dexie Diaz represented PUBG MOBILE and Cebu Pacific as official campaign ambassadors. Both known in their gaming circles as adventurous and passionate, the ladies embody the fiery spirit of the Phoenix Adarna.

PUBG MOBILE will blast a special seat sale exclusively communicated to the Filipino gaming community and raffle free domestic and international round-trip flights, courtesy of Cebu Pacific, in various community events throughout June.

Aside from Cebu, tourist destination favorite Boracay will be the venue of offline events, with the appearance of a pop-up gaming truck for a battle royale game with top PUBG MOBILE players and meet-and-greets. The island will also become the nesting place of Phoenix Adarna, with tourists spotting from afar tour boats, parasails, giant sandcastles, beach flags, kayaks, and gliders bearing the theme.

CEB continues to offer its guaranteed low fares to stimulate travel across its widest domestic network, with multiple flights to top Philippine destinations, such as Boracay and Cebu both operating 16x daily from Manila. It continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety, while it operates with a 100%

fully vaccinated crew, 95% of whom have been boosted – all to ensure every Juan flies safely and conveniently on Cebu Pacific. For more information, visit www.cebupacificair.com

Fly Easy to Bali, Bangkok, Dubai, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, and Vietnam via CEB

Filipinos are raring to travel abroad again to see the sights they missed in the last couple of years. Many are also excited to reunite with family and friends.

Whatever one’s reasons may be, Cebu Pacific (CEB) is ready to fly passengers safely to their desired destinations as travel restrictions have eased in some countries for leisure travelers. Coming home is also easier now as the Philippine government has also simplified travel for both returning Filipinos and foreign tourists alike.

In April, the local airline resumed flights to Jakarta, Hanoi, bringing the number of international routes to 16 as part of its plan to ramp up flights by July.

CEB also currently flies to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Seoul (Incheon), Nagoya, Tokyo (Narita), Osaka and Guangzhou, among many other destinations.

“We are happy to enable everyJuan to safely fly across our network. We are hopeful that we can continue contributing to the economic and tourism agenda in and out of the Philippines,” Xander Lao, CEB chief commercial officer, said in a recent press conference held at the WTTC Global Summit.

Effective May 30, travelers flying to the Philippines who have received the two-dose series or single-dose vaccine (Janssen), and at least 1 booster shot, are no longer required to present COVID-19 test results for entry, according to the Inter Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID). However, those without booster shots will still need to show their negative test results prior to boarding (RT-PCR test taken 48 hours before departure or antigen test taken 24 hours before departure).

“We laud the efforts of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and IATF-EID for enabling ways to further simplify travel requirements and making it easier for travelers to fly back home or visit the Philippines,” added Lao.

If you’re planning an international trip soon, here’s a quick guide to help you decide:
