5 Ways to Engage Kids in good hygiene habits

Keeping your child clean can be a huge challenge for parents everywhere. At an early age, children don’t see the wash, lather, and rinse routine as a necessity, so it’s up to you as parents to include fun and engaging activities in your daily cleanliness routine. Here are a few tips from Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo to make your kids look forward to their hygiene routine.

1. Hygiene kits pay off
Before sending them off to school, it's helpful to pack a hygiene kit for them to use. Baby wipes are a great fix for cleaning hands before and after eating at school. It's also a safer option for younger kids to use instead of rubbing alcohol which might spill or come into contact with their eyes.
You can opt for alcohol-free wipes that are specially designed to use for eating.
Other must-haves are lightly scented baby powders, colognes, fresh face towels, and other toiletries.

2. Enjoy bath time moments
Making bath time fun is a surefire way to create priceless moments with your children.
To make sure your kid is lice-free, it helps to use Licealiz Head Lice Treatment Shampoo twice a week. Use the 10-minute lathering time to style your kid's hair into a shark's fin or an outrageous mohawk. This way, you can make sure your child is well bathed and lice free while creating happy bonding moments.
3. 1, 2, 3, Brush your teeth!

It's also helpful to buy cute and charming products that can boost their excitement. A toothpaste with their favorite cartoon characters or a light up toothbrush is a great way to make brushing fun.
Invite your child to join you while brushing. You can dance to the tune of the swish-swish sounds your brush makes. Don't be afraid to incorporate music into your routine.

4. Sing the germs away
The music trick can also be helpful with handwashing by singing together as you rub and scrub your way into clean hands.
You can try simple nursery rhymes like “Wash, Wash, Wash Your Hands” (to the tune of “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”), “This is the Way We Wash Our Hands” (to the tune of “Mulberry Bush”), or better yet, create a unique song together!

5. Stress-free nail-clipping
Not all kids are fond of having their fingernails cut; sometimes it’s as hard as making them eat vegetables! To avoid dirt from getting stuck underneath their tiny fingernails, help your child enjoy nail-clipping by singing them a fun song or telling them a short story that involves their fingers. “This Little Piggy” and “Finger Family” are just a few examples of songs and stories that will keep your kids distracted while you cut their nails.

Taking good care of your child isn’t as wearying if you put the fun in everything. Aside from having bonding moments with your kid, they can also enjoy the good of their well-being. All you need to do is pay attention to their hygiene while making the best out of every moment you create with your kid.

Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) return in Universal Pictures' romantic thriller Fifty Shades Freed, the climactic chapter based on the worldwide bestselling Fifty Shades phenomenon. Bringing to a shocking conclusion events set in motion in 2015 and 2017’s blockbuster films that grossed almost $950 million globally, the film arrives for pre-Valentine’s Day in the Philippines, February 7.

(Watch the new spots of Fifty Shades Freed at and

Believing they have left behind shadowy figures from their past, newlyweds Christian and Ana fully embrace an inextricable connection and shared life of luxury. But just as she steps into her role as Mrs. Grey and he relaxes into an unfamiliar stability, new threats could jeopardize their happy ending before it even begins.

Given the record-setting sales of E L James’ Fifty Shades novels, and the first two films’ impressive global box-office take, the filmmakers know that they were far from messing up. When the trailer for the second film, Fifty Shades Darker, debuted online in September 2016, in less than 24 hours, it racked up more than 114 million views, shattering the previously set record for highest-performing full-length trailer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with 112 million views.

Book author and producer E L James was and is surprised by the depth of emotion the story of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey stirred up in fans. At one point, she was even satisfied with the story concluding with just one book. E L James explains: “The first two books were written as one, and I’d stopped at the wedding proposal and thought, ‘This is great. I’ve left them in a good place.’ But I got readers urging me to write more. I remember being on holiday and I was listening to Michael Bublé’s version of ‘You Will Never Find Another Love Like Mine,’ over and over again. I thought, ‘Hang on a minute. If I’m going to write more, what would it be?’

“I knew the only thing I could do was to have Ana pregnant and to see Christian’s reaction, which is not great,” E L James continues. “I knew that’s where I wanted the story to go. That’s why I started writing the third book—to see him absolutely terrified, furious, when she announces that she’s pregnant. He goes completely ballistic, because he’s a scared child himself.”

Regarding the title choice of this chapter, E L James explains, “In the third book, Christian finally learns to let go and accept what’s coming to him. I think he’s freed. And seeing the woman he loves with a child is the most healing thing that could ever happen to him.”

But the tone of Freed, overall, is far from merely a romance of the healing kind. Screenwriter Niall Leonard, who returns to this chapter, notes: “Freed opens with a mysterious man visiting the offices of Grey Enterprises. We realize quickly that he’s Jack Hyde and up to no good. Rather than starting with this idyllic existence that Christian and Ana have, we’re starting with the threat of Jack. It becomes clear that everything they do in this movie is constrained by the threat of his revenge. From the get-go, our heroes are never safe, happy or utterly content. Christian is aware of this and doesn’t tell Ana, thinking he’s protecting her. But of course, as a husband and wife, you don’t always protect somebody by keeping secrets. Eventually the truth comes out—it becomes another hurdle for them to face together, and another issue in their constant efforts at building trust between them.”

While it may sound fated that the couple will find that fairy-tale ending, Leonard is quick to disagree: “I would think that Erika herself might resist this idea of destiny, because it suggests that no matter what you do, you’re going to end up at a happy place. In fact, Ana and Christian have to make a big effort—they have to reach beyond themselves, to go way out of their comfort zones—to find each other and create this relationship that saves them. ‘Destiny’ makes it sound too easy—it’s a deliberate journey, it’s a struggle and a time of great conflict. Hopefully, we won’t have the sense that this was all easy, because it isn’t for the characters.

“For us, the marriage is the beginning of a new adventure, a new story, a new series of challenges,” the screenwriter concludes. “It’s not the be-all and end-all. Erika was wise to make that her focal point of the start of the third book, because it’s a whole new journey for our characters.”

Fifty Shades Freed is distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.

How to scam-proof your travel abroad

How to scam-proof your travel abroad

This is for the solo backpackers, travel bloggers and to all those who booked their ticket for future travels.

Travelling is a great way to unwind and enjoy what life has to offer, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be mindful of your safety.

Scams abound in every part of the world.  As the travel industry grows in popularity, scammers and other criminals are also growing in numbers, devising ways to trick unsuspecting tourists from transportation overcharge and forced purchases to ATM skimming and credit card fraud.

PSBank advises travelers to exercise caution when setting foot in foreign lands. Here are some safety measures you can take for a scam-free and enjoyable vacation:

Inform your bank or Credit Card Company if you're travelling outside of the country. Although most banks have systems in place where they will send you an SMS alert to confirm a purchase before they are processed, and/or a text message and email notification to inform you of your transactions, you will be helping your bank monitor and secure your accounts from any suspicious usage by informing them of your travel plans. This way your bank won’t assume that your debit, prepaid or credit card is being used fraudulently and block it.

Be wary of public wifi.

Hackers can easily set up "free" public WiFi networks and bait people to use them so they can sniff your login passwords or use your accounts while you're still logged in to the websites without the need for your password. Always ask the hotel, coffee shop or airport personnel their valid WiFi hotspots for guests. If you have to connect to a free WiFi network, never use it to log in to your email, social media or bank accounts.

Never provide debit or credit card details via phone, text or email.

Emails and texts were not created with data privacy in mind. Unencrypted email is an unsecure way to send sensitive information. Emails, SMS, or phone calls can be hacked, spoofed, and eavesdropped. When travelling, it is best to avoid providing personal and financial information through these channels.

Look for the lock.

Aside from a web address that begins with “https:” where “s” stands for ‘secure’, a lock icon on your browser is another indication that the site you are on is safe to use. When booking plane tickets and hotels, or when making online purchases, make sure you can see the padlock symbol in the address bar, before you provide your personal or financial details.

Keep your card visible when making payments.

When paying for your purchases and services using your debit or credit card, make sure that they process your payment in your presence. This way, your card is visible and always with you.  Thus, preventing multiple unauthorized card swipes and skimming.

Monitor your accounts regularly.

Monitor your accounts even when you are abroad to ensure that there are no unauthorized transactions. For added security to PSBank Debit and Prepaid Mastercard cardholders, turn on the ATM Lock feature in your PSBank Online or PSBank Mobile App to keep your account safe from ATM skimming and other card-based electronic fraud.

Be vigilant.

If you think that your bank account has been compromised or noticed any suspicious movements, report it immediately by calling your bank’s customer service hotline.

“Learning how to secure your accounts and avoid obvious threats goes a long way in protecting your personal information and money most especially when you travel,” says PSBank First Vice President for Information Security Dan Jose Duplito.

Vivo Prides Itself for Innovations in Stonewall Security Features

A lot of modern smartphones are adopting biometric security features in an effort to gather more users and patrons to support their brand. Vivo is no different and has pushed the envelope when it comes to innovation. Just recently at the Consumer Electronics Show or CES 2018, dubbed as the global stage for innovation, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, Vivo took the spotlight as it introduced the world-first under-display fingerprint scanner in its smartphone. This ultra-modern technology simply registers a user’s uniquely patterned epidermis, and just like in futuristic movies, the screen would weave a pattern of blue light and the phone is instantly accessed.

Vivo’s new innovation, the world’s first under – display fingerprint scanner
Vivo’s smartphone security features are just as impressive and cutting-edge. The Face ID feature of Vivo is less complex than other smartphone brands’ security specs, merely using its 24MP camera for facial recognition. But this facial recognition security feature is not to be underestimated as it works remarkably well. Vivo face access technology quickly detects up more than 100 different facial identification points, more than enough for one to say that we truly now live in the future. The feature checks the depth or the user’s facial features which provides for a more precise, more effectual security access.

Vivo’s Face ID Access

Lastly, Vivo smartphones also employ the good old fingerprint scanner under its hood, located at the back just within a convenient reach of the index finger. This feature which works well and fast and maybe activated alongside the Face ID feature.

With its stonewall security, Vivo smartphones are not only efficient and affordable but are also revolutionary and innovative. Vivo cares about its users, pushing the brand to constantly innovate and improve user experience. Vivo maintains seven research and development centers and continuously improves their products.

Through her "I'll never loved this way again" song that I found my one true love. It is one of my favorite songs. The lyrics tells it all. Everytime I listen to it, I have been dreaming to watch and sing along with her in person. I love Dionne Warwick and will forever be a fan.

As of her Facebook page. the lady of pop, soul, R &B., and gospel music,  is on tour starting Feb 1 and do not forget to block these dates from Feb 13 and 14 because she will be performing live at Solaire Resort and Casino, Manila. If you are a fan and want to be senti all over again, bring the bf/gf, hubby/wife or your titas and titos along with you. Celebrate Valentines Day with Dionne Warwick.

Even if she’s had her share of Grammy trophies and triumphs, Billboard achievements, and a great number of popular ballads, Dionne Warwick humbly declares,  "The word or label 'Diva'  is an operatic term and I do not sing opera, therefore I cannot and do not accept being called as such."

She is revered as a singing legend and popular music icon, who to many of her admirers is gifted with a melodic and soulful voice. Her songs continue to touch the hearts of people who believe in romance, love, friendship, and forever.
On February 13 and 14, 2018 at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort and Casino, the charismatic chanteuse headlines a two-night concert.

"I've been to Manila several times...Manila audiences are wonderful, they have always seemed to enjoy my show," says the singing legend.

Be ready to be enthralled and mesmerized when you hear her famous songs such as “Don’t Make Me Over,” “Walk On By,” “Do You Know The Way to San Jose?,” “Alfie,” and “I’ll Never Love This Way Again” and other signature songs.

She shares, "All of my songs are close to my heart as they are like my children. The success of these songs; I attribute both to the wonderful composers and lyricists."

The new official trailer for Universal Pictures' 3D epic adventure Pacific Rim: Uprising, the follow-up to Guillermo del Toro's 2013 cinematic epic Pacific Rim, has just arrived online.

Check out the trailer below and watch Pacific Rim: Uprising in Philippine cinemas March 2018.

The globe-spanning conflict between otherworldly monsters of mass destruction and the human-piloted super-machines built to vanquish them was only a prelude to the all-out assault on humanity in Pacific Rim Uprising.

John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) stars as the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity’s victory against the monstrous “Kaiju.” Jake has since abandoned his training only to become caught up in a criminal underworld. But when an even more unstoppable threat is unleashed to tear through our cities and bring the world to its knees, he is given one last chance to live up to his father’s legacy by his estranged sister, Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi)—who is leading a brave new generation of pilots that have grown up in the shadow of war. As they seek justice for the fallen, their only hope is to unite together in a global uprising against the forces of extinction.

Jake is joined by gifted rival pilot Lambert (The Fate of the Furious’ Scott Eastwood) and 15-year-old Jaeger hacker Amara (newcomer Cailee Spaeny), as the heroes of the PPDC become the only family he has left.  Rising up to become the most powerful defense force to ever walk the earth, they will set course for a spectacular all-new adventure on a towering scale.

Pacific Rim Uprising is directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Netflix’s Daredevil, STARZ’s Spartacus) and also stars Jing Tian, Burn Gorman, Adria Arjona and Charlie Day.

Pacific Rim: Uprising is distributed in the Philippines by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.

Vivo launches newest celebrity endorsers Loisa Andalio, Maris, Chienna and Inigo

Why Loisa Andalio, Maris Racal, Inigo Pascual, and Chienna Filomeno trust the Vivo brand

Vivo, a smartphone brand known the world over, introduces its newest brand influencers composed of fresh faces from the local showbusiness scene. Vivo’s latest brand celebrity supporters are all Kapamilya stars from big-time network ABS-CBN, making names and waves in the entertainment arena. The inclusion of the biggest stars in its roster of influencers is proof that Vivo is aggressive in terms of its marketing and PR efforts to further push the brand to the top tier of the choicest smartphone companies. In the Philippines, Vivo places third in the most popular smartphone brand with at least 1.1 million users and 5,200 stores and counting nationwide while globally, Vivo boasts of 200 million users and growing.

Before the introduction of local brand influencers, Vivo wowed the smartphone industry by signing up NBA superstar Stephen Curry as Vivo’s biggest ambassador September of 2016. In November 2017, during the grand launch of the Vivo V7+ in Manila, Vivo introduced their newest local brand endorsers. One of these endorsers were actress, dancer, and singer Loisa Andalio, actress, dancer, talented teen heartthrob Inigo Pascual, and television personality Maris Racal, and model-actress Chienna Filomeno.

18-year-old Loisa Andalio came into the limelight when she joined the 5th regular season of Pinoy Big Brother where she was dubbed as the “Talented Darling of Paranaque”. Loisa is currently a member of an all-girl group G13 formed in 2013. The talented Loisa, known as an influential millennial celebrity with a vast social media following, currently has 1.17 followers on Twitter, 2.7 million followers on Instagram, and over 600,000 followers on Facebook.

Loisa during her Vivo Clearer selfie tour at SM Dasma

Loisa loves her Vivo V7+ because of the phone’s Face ID feature. Futuristic enough, Vivo offers this feature which is a surely-safe security access to one’s smartphone, where phone unlocks with mere facial recognition. The Face ID feature enables the V7+ to “wake up” with the user simply picking up the phone, raising it in portrait mode to unlock it and it is ready to go. As a dancer, Loisa is also thrilled with the V7+’s fully-upgraded AK4376A Hi-Fidelity audio chip supports the latest sound technology and levels up mobile audio technology, enabling any music lover to enjoy rich and full rhythms.

Loisa was formally introduced as a Vivo influencer during the Vivo V7+’s launch at the Grand Marriot Hotel last September 20, 2017 and also entertained her multitude of fans at a Vivo mall tour at SM Dasmarinas December last year.

Charming Maris Racal, on the other hand, has already settled herself as an established artist at a young age of 20. She first came to fame after placing second in Pinoy Big Brother All In and was later signed up with Star Magic as a member of popular all-girl group Girltrends and just last year as a member of an all-girl sing and dance group BFF5. Maris was paired up with fellow Vivo influencer Inigo Pascual where they are collectively known as MarNigo which now has a strong fan base.

Maris’ popularity on Instagram has risen in a short time, now with 2 million followers. She has over 700,000 followers on Instagram and more than 200,000 fans on Facebook. Maris makes a perfect Vivo influencer for her talent and her status as an iconic millennial. Her love team with Inigo Pascual is also one of the most famous and important power pair of recent years.

Maris loves Vivo V7+’s powerful 24MP and Face Beauty feature which produces perfect selfies each time, a perfect selfie-taking companion for celebrities like herself with a strong social media following.

Maris’ on-screen other half, the handsome Inigo Pascual is an actor and recording artist. The son of premier actor Piolo Pascual, Inigo has established his own name in the industry with his good looks and talent. He is the artist behind the 2016 hit single Dahil Saýo, the first number one song on Billboard Philippines’ Philippine Top 20 chart.

Inigo is quite popular on social media, no wonder Vivo signed up the young influencers to push the brand. Inigo’s Instagram followers are 2 million strong, with a Twitter following of over 700,000 and a Facebook fan base of over 300,0000.

Inigo is happy with the Vivo V7+’s 5.99 all-screen Display with an 84.4% screen to body ratio, providing a more exciting and enhanced game and visual experience. Its Smart Split 3.0 feature allows Inigo to check his messages, mails, among other things without interrupting the current running app—perfect for very busy smartphone users on the go like him. As a singer, Inigo also appreciates the phone’s Hi-Fidelity audio chip which rocks above par mobile audio technology making music clearer and crisper to the ear.

Lastly, the beautiful Chienna Filomeno who models and acts at a young age of 20, was also a prolific cosplayer for popular anime characters such as Tsumug Kotobuki, earning her a great number of Instagram following. Started cosplaying at 2008 Chienna attended the popular cosplay festival Ozine Fest—her first where she came as Sakura Haruno from popular anime series Naruto Shippuuden. Currently, Chienna makes television appearances as noontime show Showtime host apart from learning to DJ. An influential young celebrity, Vivo chose Chienna to represent its brand to the hip and young crowd.

Chienna’s popularity on social media is continuing to rise with 1.3 million Instagram followers, over 200,000 fans on Facebook and more than 300,000 following on Twitter. Chienna’s vast Instagram followers can be attributed to her gorgeous selfies, thanks to Vivo V7+’s 24Mp front camera and Face Beauty feature which produces only the clearer portraits. The phone’s all-screen display is also something Chienna appreciates about the Vivo V7+ as it allows her to appreciate her photos better.

Hone your Make up Skills at Center for Aesthetic Studies (CAS)

As the renowned fashion icon Calvin Klein once said, “the best thing is to look natural, but it takes makeup to look natural.” This underscores the reality that looking your best does not “just happen.” Indeed, even professional models, actresses, and beauty professionals have time and tested makeup methods that took years to master and apply.

“While makeup is considered an artform, there is a very precise technical methodology behind it,” noted celebrity makeup artist Jigs Mayuga. “An eye for beauty and aesthetic detail must be equally balanced with specialized skills and proficiency.”

Through his work at the Center for Aesthetic Studies (CAS), Mayuga aims to impart these skills to aspiring makeup artists. Since 2004, CAS has steadily built its reputation as one of the leading schools for professional makeup artistry in the Philippines. Mayuga is a proud graduate of the institute, and currently joins an impressive roster of professors teaching there.

“The entire CAS recently enhanced its full operations, including its corporate structure, student relations and support systems, faculty members, and an upgraded curriculum,” Mayuga emphasized. “At present, we have the top experts in their respective fields teaching comprehensive programs involving the hair, skin, nails, and face. If you want to turn your passion into a career, then CAS is definitely the right place to be,” he concluded.

The Center for Aesthetic Studies is located at Unit 103 Midland Office Condominium Bldg. 109 Gamboa Legaspi Village, Makati. You may also visit their website at, or follow them on Facebook (centerforaestheticstudiesph) and Instagram (centerforaestheticstudies) []

Fresh from receiving a Best Picture nomination in the 90th Academy Awards, Universal Pictures' timely thriller The Post is headed to Philippine cinemas on February 24, a week before the actual Oscars.

Marking their historic, first-ever on-screen collaboration, Steven Spielberg directs Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks in The Post, a thrilling drama about the unlikely partnership between The Washington Post’s Katharine Graham (Streep), the first female publisher of a major American newspaper, and editor Ben Bradlee (Hanks), as they race to catch up with The New York Times to expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that spanned three decades and four U.S. Presidents.

The two must overcome their differences as they risk their careers – and their very freedom – to help bring long-buried truths to light.

Throughout American history, there have been catalytic moments in which ordinary citizens must decide whether to put everything on the line–livelihoods, reputations, status, even freedom—to do what they believe to be right and necessary to protect the Constitution and defend American freedom.

With The Post, multiple-Academy-Award®-winning director Steven Spielberg excavates one such moment. The result is a high-wire drama based on the true events that unfolded when The Washington Post and The New York Times formed a pragmatic alliance in the wake of The Times’ incendiary exposure of the Top Secret study that would become known to the world as the Pentagon Papers.

Though scooped by The New York Times, The Washington Post takes up the story that has brought legal threats and the power of the White House down on The Times—as huge personal stakes collide with the needs of a shocked nation to know what its government is hiding.

In the balance might hang the fate of millions, including thousands of U.S. soldiers fighting a war their government does not believe can be won. In just a few days of crisis, pioneering but inexperienced Post publisher Katharine Graham will weigh her legacy against her conscience as she gains the confidence to lead; and editor Ben Bradlee must press his team to go beyond the ordinary, knowing they could be charged with treason for carrying out their jobs.

But as they do, the underdogs at The Post become unified in a battle far larger than themselves—a battle for their colleagues and the Constitution—one that underscores the necessity of a free press to hold a democracy’s leaders accountable, even as it challenges Graham and Bradlee to their most private inner cores.

Throughout his career, Spielberg has been drawn to visiting moments on which historical transformations turn in films ranging from Empire of the Sun and Schindler’s List to Munich, Lincoln and Bridge of Spies.

The Post turns Spielberg’s lens for the very first time on 1970s America, the same era in which he first became one of America’s eminent filmmaking voices. Its relentlessly brisk narrative is a story of personal connections and courage, but it also brings Spielberg into the world of newspaper reporting at a critical moment for the nation and the world, a realm on the cusp of change with the rising power of women and the coming of corporatization.

Most of all, the story provides a riveting context for a timeless dilemma: when must one speak out to expose a grave national danger even knowing the stakes are unfathomably high?

The Post is distributed in the Philippines by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.
