‘Curated Spaces’ showcases four approaches to contemporary living

The property and design fair offers a closer look at the lifestyles envisioned for Bern Baguio, Escana Boracay, Siena and Novus Prime Residences

Four emerging residential developments are brought to life through four interior vignettes, each presenting a distinct interpretation of contemporary living.

This is the concept behind Curated Spaces, a property and design fair that explores thoughtful living through interiors inspired by four developments from Brittany and Crown Asia.

Inquirer Property, in partnership with Brittany, Crown Asia and Villar City, invited leading interior designers and architects to interpret Bern Baguio, Escana Boracay, Siena and Novus Prime Residences.

Instead of presenting the developments solely through architectural plans and images, each vignette translates the character of its respective property into an intimate interior setting. Together, they offer visitors a clearer sense of how architecture, location and lifestyle can shape the experience of everyday living.

Boracay from day to dusk

Inquirer Property columnist IDr. Chat Fores drew inspiration from the changing character of Boracay for her Escana vignette.

Escana is a 5.1-ha mixed-use leisure development that will feature mid-rise residential towers, a luxury hotel, private villas and a commercial village.

Fores used pale, airy tones to evoke the island during the day. Sculptural forms and darker accents reference rock and driftwood while introducing the warmer colors associated with late afternoon.

The coastal influence is deliberately restrained. Rather than relying on familiar resort imagery, the vignette creates a relaxed interior that captures the character of an island setting in a more subtle way.

Cordilleran culture in a modern setting

For the Swiss-inspired, four-tower Bern Baguio, Inquirer Property columnist Ar. Ian Fulgar and IDr. Joy Ejercito turned to the landscape and culture of the Cordilleras.

Their interpretation filters these regional influences through a contemporary design perspective. Indigenous-inspired materials, textiles, handcrafted accents and natural textures are paired with modern furnishings.

Warm earth tones and richer shades recall Baguio’s mountain landscape while recognizing the craft traditions of the Cordilleras. The result connects the development’s Swiss inspiration with a distinct sense of place.

A contemporary Filipino identity

IDr. Migs Alcid interpreted Novus Prime Residences through Pinoycore, a design practice rooted in modern Filipino identity.

Familiar shapes, everyday references and local sensibilities are reworked into pieces appropriate for upscale condominium living.

The concept complements Novus Prime Residences, a 16-story development located within the University Town of Villar City. Through Alcid’s vignette, Filipino identity is presented as current, adaptable and completely at home within a contemporary interior.

A home centered on dining

For Siena, IDr. Doris Dy focused on the dining area and the everyday rhythms that develop around it.

Siena is a 5.9-ha Tuscan-inspired residential development in Cavite. Dy translated that influence through warm, tactile finishes, comfortable proportions and refined details.

The setting suggests a home shaped by shared meals, conversations and intimate celebrations. Its Tuscan character is expressed through mood while remaining connected to the routines, preferences and expectations of a Filipino household.

Bringing each development to life

Under the direction of Fores, Fulgar and Ejercito, Alcid and Dy, the four vignettes become concise expressions of the developments they represent.

This approach is increasingly relevant as property buyers place greater importance on lifestyle. Beyond the physical structure, buyers are examining how a home accommodates their routines, expresses their personality and responds to the character of its location.

Visitors can experience all four vignettes and see how these upcoming developments might feel to live in at the Curated Spaces property fair, which runs until Sept. 20 at Evia Lifestyle Center.
