HealthNow all-in-one health app launched by 917 Ventures & AC Health

Consulting with a licensed doctor, getting a prescription, buying medicines, and securing laboratory appointments can now be done at home with just a few taps on your mobile phone.

Powered by 917 Ventures, a wholly-owned corporate incubator by Globe, and Vigos Health, a subsidiary of AC Health, HealthNow delivers a hassle free experience by providing patients with the healthcare services that they need. Available in Google Play for Android and the App Store for iOS, anyone can register using their mobile phone number, email address, or even their Facebook account.

The app provides freedom of choice and flexibility, as users are provided with the options to consult with a doctor anytime, anywhere using video calls. Patients can also ask for an e-prescription and have medicine and vitamins delivered to their homes. Finally, they can also easily book appointments for face-to-face consultations and diagnostic tests and even have their lab results interpreted online.

“In 917 Ventures, we want to go beyond telecommunications by helping solve day-to-day problems in the country using pioneering digital solutions in the areas of health, education, and financial technology, among others. By giving the public convenient access to primary care needs, HealthNow is able to alleviate pain points that Filipinos experience today with the healthcare system. Ultimately, we envision HealthNow to be the healthcare companion that patients can rely on to get better and to stay healthy and well,” said Issa Guevarra-Cabreira, 917Ventures Managing Partner.

"Vigos Health invests in healthtech businesses that have the potential to disrupt the healthcare industry and give added value to our network. We are excited to launch HealthNow, and we have worked in collaboration with patients, doctors, and other medical professions to ensure our platform is convenient and easy to use. It will definitely be a game-changer to the way Filipinos approach health," Christian Besler, CEO of Vigos ventures also mentioned.

To promote continuity of care and break the silos in healthcare, HealthNow is supported by KonsultaMD, FamilyDOC, Healthway, and Generika, which are all assets under 917Ventures and AC Health. KonsultaMD, which also has its own 24/7 telemedicine hotline and app, lends the services of its licensed physicians to further augment HealthNow’s roster of doctors. FamilyDoc and Healthway provide the same assistance while Generika handles medicine delivery.

“At AC Health, our vision has always been to create an integrated healthcare ecosystem, providing care whenever or wherever our patients need us. With HealthNow, patients can access teleconsults from our Healthway and FamilyDOC physicians, book lab appointments, and avail of medicine delivery from our Generika drugstores. Ultimately, we believe that health technology is a key enabler to our network, and that it will play an even more critical role during this pandemic," said Paolo Borromeo President and CEO of AC Health.

Doctors who need to meet with their patients but cannot do so due to various reasons, may also join Healthnow to extend their patient care online.

Globe Kmmunity PH partners with VLIve, Viki and DIVE Studios to bring K-culture closer to Hallyu fans

If youre a K-Pop idol fan and is not following the Globe Kmmunity PH. You are missing a lot. Especially now that Globe Kmmunity PH partners with VLive, Viki and DIVE Studios to bring in some of the famous K-pop idols like Super Junior to perform in their platform. How's that for a start? Im getting excited with the thought of seeing exclusive interviews from Black Pink and of course, BTS!

From its early beginnings in the mid-2000s, the Korean wave in the Philippines has now taken a life of its own. It is undeniable that Filipinos are some of the most fervent fans of the Korean culture or K-Culture. It started from the rise of  Korean dramas or K-dramas followed by K-Pop groups. This shared love and appreciation has led to the formation of different communities of K-Culture fans in the country just like Globe Kmmunity PH.

What was once just a Facebook community group for Globe’s K-Pop concert goers, Kmmunity PH has evolved into a platform where fans of K-Culture can mingle with each other and share their love for all things Korean. The Facebook group serves as the main hub of Kmmunity where insightful conversations about K-Culture happen and exclusive members-only perks are shared.

To  give K-Fans more things to love and enjoy, Globe Kmmunity PH will expand its suite of content and experiences with new and exciting channels and partners.

“Globe Kmmunity PH is excited to have more K-Fans be part of our growing community, where they can enjoy exclusive perks and gain new friends. Likewise, they will also be able to access more quality content from their favorite K-Idols with our amazing new content partners such as VLive, Viki and DIVE Studios.” said Globe VP for Get Entertained Tribe Jil Bausa-Go,.

Kmmunity PH Channels

With its new channels, Kmmunity PH will be a one-stop shop for anything and everything K-Culture. Each channel will have exclusive content for K-Fans to enjoy:

Twitter - The official "K-Culture Stan" account that posts about the latest and trending topics on anything K-culture

Shopee - Marketplace for exclusive merch, deals and experiences from Globe and its partners

Viber - A community that aims to organize exchange of limited edition K-culture items among members

Youtube - Exclusive video content on Korean music, drama, beauty, food, and travel

VLive - Exclusive events, fanship experiences and content featuring K-Idols

Kmmunity PH partners

Globe Kmmunity PH is also introducing new content with exclusive global platform partnerships, to bring K-culture closer to Hallyu fans.

Globe recently teamed up with VLIVE, the no. 1 South Korean live video streaming service. Globe is VLIVE’s its first telecommunications company partner in Southeast Asia. Together, they will provide exclusive K-Pop idol content to millions of Globe subscribers in the Philippines.

Aside from live concerts and music videos, the app also showcases personalized idol livestreams and even allows fans the opportunity to interact with them through chat.

Globe Kmmunity PH is also the first and exclusive Southeast Asia telecommunications partner of  Viki, an on-demand video streaming app.  Viki boasts of a rich library of K-dramas including certified global hits such as Fight for My Way and Suspicious Partner as well as a wide breadth of other Asian content.

To further scale its content propositions, Kmmunity PH is also engaging DIVE Studios, a podcast production network with studios in Seoul and Los Angeles.  DIVE creates content for international K-pop fans and features internationally acclaimed artists like Eric Nam, Tablo of hip-hop group Epik High, Jae of the group Day6, and Jamie Park.

Globe Kmmunity PH is the first community to unite K-culture fans in the Philippines. It has been bringing the best K-culture content and K-idols closer to Filipino fans since 2015,” added Globe VP for Strategic Platforms and Partnerships Coco Domingo. “We continue to forge new partnerships and recreate our offers to enable millions of K-fans to easily access content that will inspire them.”

Monitor and track your usage and bill with the GlobeOne and Globe at Home apps

As the Philippines embraces a new normal amid the community quarantine, Globe is making it easier for its subscribers to manage their accounts with the GlobeOne and Globe at Home apps. With just a few taps on their smartphones, they can monitor and track their usage and bill, request for tech support, buy load, and settle their balance.

The apps were developed as an alternative channel for concerns that are usually addressed by  visiting a Globe Store. These steps meant having to go out, which is not ideal given the health risks of the COVID-19 pandemic. Customers can now download the apps for free and have their concerns resolved within minutes, without having to wait for their turn or step out of their homes.

“As we shift to a more relaxed quarantine across the country, we continue to recreate the way we serve our customers to make it easier and safer for them to manage their accounts,” says Rebecca Eclipse, Globe Chief Customer Experience Officer. “They have relied on online platforms for essentials, groceries, and even education, to lessen physical interaction. We are offering this same convenience as we bring our most widely-used services to our customers’ reach through our apps,” Eclipse  added.

GlobeOne is the digital companion for all the needs of Globe Postpaid, Globe Business and Prepaid subscribers. This app allows them to access their billing statements, monitor their data consumption, check their rewards points and even buy load credits.

The Globe at Home app on the other hand allows Globe at Home Broadband and Prepaid Wifi subscribers to easily track their data usage,  add volume boosts and even upgrade their plan subscription.

Both apps are free to use and are designed to be accessible any time, anywhere. Through these apps, customers can resolve their concerns in minutes, without having to wait for their turn on the hotline or at the Globe Store, allowing them to have more time for things that matter to them.

To access, customers can simply download the suitable app and register using their email address or third-party credentials like Gmail, Facebook, and Yahoo! Mail. After they register, they can enroll their accounts using their mobile number.

Customers may also dial *143# and chat with Globe Telecom’s FB Messenger to do self-service transactions.

Stay Loud and Proud from home with Globe & Pride@Tech

Even during the midst of a pandemic, LGBTQ+ Pride still finds a way to be boldly seen and heard.

As the much-anticipated Pride marches and events for the month of June have been cancelled, various LGBTQ+ communities and organizations in the country have turned to the online world to celebrate their colorful parades and protest for equal rights and greater gender visibility.

This 2020, Globe Telecom, along with other technology leaders, is partnering with Pride@Tech to #Recreate #Pride2020.  #Pride 2020 will bring the spirit of pride online, making the occasion even more accessible and safer for everyone to celebrate at home.

“Globe has always been a champion in supporting programs that promote inclusivity and equality in our society. This year, Globe is teaming up with Pride@Tech and we couldn’t be happier to lend our support again in amplifying the voices and concerns of the LGBTQ+ community not just in the streets, but this time in online spaces as well,” says Globe Vice President for Marketing Services Hub Jennifer Echevarria.

Through the online platform, “Pride March From Home: United for COVID Relief”, all LGBTQ+ members and allies are invited to join in on a virtual pride march for equality. The event is set to be officially launched on June 27 at 3 p.m for the benefit of LGBTQ+ communities who are badly affected by the pandemic.

Interested Pride-goers from all over the world can participate in the Pride event by registering at www.marchforpride.com, where they can create their own rainbow-colored virtual route. They can also share the call to #PrideMarchFromHome on social media.

The platform also houses a donation drive via iVolunteer, the Philippines’ first volunteer portal, where all proceeds will support LGBTQ+ communities. Here Globe subscribers can donate to iVolunteer through the Globe Rewards App or the GCash mobile wallet app.

“During such difficult times, Filipinos have proven that technology can be harnessed to do much social good,” says GCash CEO, Martha Sazon “With this year’s Pride march, we wanted to help in creating opportunities for people to band together in solidarity and extend the needed help from the safety of their homes through online apps.”

Globe is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact and is committed to support events and implement meaningful programs focused on 10 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For Globe, collaborating with LGBTQ+ organizations, further promotes SDG No 5 - gender equality, diversity, and inclusion within and outside of the workplace. In fact, recently in February, Globe has allowed its employees to declare their same-sex legal spouse as qualified dependents and beneficiaries for employee health and insurance benefits.
