Red Carpet Royalty: Fashion Trailblazers at the 2025 Golden Globes

The 2025 Golden Globes red carpet was everything we hoped it would be and more. From debuting daring hairdos to serving old Hollywood glam, the red carpet made sure our jaws stayed glued to the floor. Whether you were team sparkles or dramatic silhouettes, the first event of 2025's awards season did not disappoint.

The cast and crew of Emilia Perez, which won four Golden Globe awards: Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy; Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language; Best Original Song – Motion Picture for “El Mal”; and Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for Zoe Saldaña

Here are just some of the standout moments we’re obsessing over:

Zendaya owns the night (again)

It’s official — Zendaya is in a league of her own. Styled by the legendary Law Roach, Zendaya graced the carpet in a monochromatic orange custom Louis Vuitton ensemble that left no detail unchecked. From the gown to the heels and even her rusty-hued locks, she was a literal goddess. Iconic. Thank you, Z, for delivering yet again.

Miley Cyrus turns cool-girl chic into an art form

Fresh off her first Grammy win last year, Miley Cyrus knows a thing or two about making moves -- on the stage and the red carpet. She showed up in a shimmering Celine gown with bold cut-outs, a '00s updo (complete with chunky highlights), and topped it off with the ultimate power move: sunglasses. Take notes a literal goddess. Iconic. Thank you, Z, for delivering yet people: that's how you do effortlessly cool.

Cynthia Erivo defies gravity with drama

Cynthia Erivo's structured peplum commanded everyone’s attention.  With a deep v-neckline and silver embellishments, the Louis Vuitton ensemble exuded drama and confidence, perfectly complementing her jaw-dropping performance in Wicked.

Cate Blanchett’s golden comeback

Cate Blanchett joined Viola Davis in proving that red carpet magic can happen twice in the same dress. Blanchett returned to the Golden Globes in a gold Louis Vuitton gown that had already made waves at Cannes less than a year ago. Its cape-style bodice, metallic shoulder detailing, sleek column skirt, and dramatic train were pure elegance. She paired the show-stopping gown with minimal accessories and a sharp side-parted blonde bob.

Viola Davis re-wears Gucci like royalty

Viola Davis understood the assignment and flipped the sustainability script. When Gucci creates a masterpiece, why not wear it more than once? The 2025 Cecil B. DeMille Award honoree brought back her stunning black sequined dress from the 2024 LACMA Gala, this time wearing it with a rainbow cape. Bravo to Davis and her stylist, Elizabeth Stewart, for making rewearing just as fabulous as a red carpet debut.

Elle Fanning perfects print play

Need proof that fashion risks pay off? Look no further than Elle Fanning. Her leopard-print Balmain gown featuring a corseted champagne waist and sequined bust might sound chaotic on paper, but on her? Pure harmony. She paired it with gold Cartier for that extra oomph, reminding us why she’s the queen of combining elegance with edge.

Emma Stone’s new pixie cut

Emma Stone unveiled a brand-new pixie cut that wowed fans on the red carpet. Rumored to be for her upcoming film, Bugonia, the haircut was paired with a radiant red Louis Vuitton gown that served straight-up Hollywood sophistication. If her new look is any indication, 2025 is the year of Emma making serious moves.

Angelina Jolie sparkles alongside her daughter

Angelina Jolie knows how to make a statement, and the stunning diva made an unforgettable entrance in a bedazzled long-sleeved dress with sheer panels and streaks of black and silver sequins. Jolie wasn’t alone — walking beside her was her daughter, Zahara Jolie, rocking a custom white Alexander McQueen dress adorned with a sequined cherry tree-inspired pattern.

Ariana Grande goes full Audrey Hepburn

Speaking of hair revamps, Ariana Grande ditched her platinum locks for a more honey-brown ‘do. The talented star arrived in a 1966 yellow haute couture Givenchy gown, paired with white gloves, and Swarovski crystal accents, she was serving "Good Witch", but make it fashion.

Timothée Chalamet saves the men’s fashion scene (Again)

Timothée Chalamet didn’t just suit up last night. Still paying homage to Bob Dylan, he paired a simple black suit with a delightfully quirky polka-dot skinny scarf, he gave us just enough edge to keep things interesting.
