UNIQLO PH launches 2018 Fall/Winter Collection

It was "shop" at first sight the moment I saw those stores displays the very first day Uniqlo opened here in the Philippines. I lined up and went back again and again that opening weekend hoping to score more great finds from this brand that I've long been waiting for.

And through the past years, I think I have all the basic shirts, classic polos, A skirts, tops, and even underwears, I think 95 percent of my wardrobe are all from Uniqlo.  I have a piece of every collaboration they have from the U, Ines dela Fressange collection, and J.W Anderson collection.  You can never go wrong with the brand.

In fact its become my trademark of sorts and I guess whether they like to admit it or not i think I've influenced a lot of my friends to do the same and adopt the Uniqlo Lifewear lifestyle.

You can layered your everyday outfit from UNIQLO with anything in your closet. You can be in your stylish casual, sporty,  formal, or a little dressed up.

Its perfect for outerwear or as inner layers. If you know how to layer your everyday outfit, then UNIQLO is the way to go, and the best part--they are priced just right.

UNIQLO recently launched their  Fall/Winter 2018 collection last August 8 at Whitespace, Makati.

UNIQLO is constantly thinking about the evolution of clothes and for their  Fall/Winter 2018 collection, LifeWear promotes individuality through a fresh emphasis on two basic elements—color and silhouette. This season, Uniqlo has created a collection of easy-to-coordinate colors and silhouettes to help people dress with style and confidence.

To build a full color palette for the collection, we took inspiration from three key lifestyle concepts: Great Outdoors, Work and Craft, and Abstract Art. To reflect these, the palette includes moss greens and sky reds, colors inspired by natural materials—wood, clay and stone gray, as well as the bold and vivid colors of art—blues, reds, and yellows. The wearer can use the palette to create sophisticated tonal looks or pare it back to a classic neutral.

The collection is also refined to three universal and timeless shapes—circular, triangular, and rectangular. These shapes are subtly emphasized throughout the collection in its oversized items, in its flared and A-line items and in its more structured, narrow looks. Wearers can choose shapes that flatter their own unique body type for more confidence and more individual style.

As always, UNIQLO fabrics are the foundation that makes LifeWear modern and stylish— developed for beauty, durability, lightness, comfort and warmth. All our color and silhouette innovations for Fall/Winter 2018 are applied across LifeWear’s full range of innovative, high quality materials.

HEATTECH:

HEATTECH is innerwear that UNIQLO has developed in partnership with Toray Industries of Japan. It absorbs moisture from the body to generate heat, while air pockets in the fabric fibers retain heat.

HEATTECH has evolved over the years to become thinner, lighter, smoother, and warmer. Its innovative qualities have helped to transform winter fashion around the globe and have become central to everyday living in cooler months.

UNIQLO responded to consumer demand by developing HEATTECH Extra Warm, which is 1.5 times warmer than regular HEATTECH. HEATTECH Extra Warm features a soft brushed interior in direct contact with the skin for additional warmth.

Last year, the company introduced HEATTECH Ultra Warm, which is 2.25 times warmer than ordinary HEATTECH. This provides additional comfort for those living in particularly chilly climates or for those who spend long hours working outside in freezing temperatures. HEATTECH Ultra Warm employs a special knit design that thickens the fabric and lengthens brushed lining fibers. Additionally, air pockets between the fibers create a large air layer within the fabric, offering incredible warmth, even in the extreme cold.

AIRism: UNIQLO re-introduces its AIRism collection featuring breathable, smooth, and lightweight pieces that provides the best comfort 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

UNIQLO AIRism is innerwear that is silky smooth and cool to the touch. Designed with Comfort Conditioning technology, it releases heat and moisture, and adapts to any condition to help you stay cool and confident in unpredictable weather.

Rooted in the brand’s LifeWear philosophy, each piece of clothing from the collection is created to accommodate the lifestyle of every Filipino. This season’s AIRism lineup features a variety of items made for different occasions.

The updated lineup includes three (3) main types of AIRism innerwear: Jersey for daily use, Mesh for active days, and Seamless for formal looks.

Light as air and refreshingly comfortable, each AIRism piece is a reflection of UNIQLO’s commitment to continually offer innovative clothing to bring better comfort to the lives of its customers.

ULTRA LIGHT DOWN: The Ultra Light Down lineup is endlessly evolving. UNIQLO uses a premium down material and a special treatment that eliminates the need for down packs, so items are super warm, thin, and light. They are perfect in a range of styles as outerwear or as inner layers, from the beginning of fall through early spring.

New for Fall/Winter 2018 are the men’s Ultra Light Down Compact Vests and Jackets with two-way collars that you can fold back for shallow and deep v-necks. UNIQLO adjusted the down volume in the women’s Ultra Light Down Compact Jackets to enhance the figure. Piping tape enables the two-way collars to secure sharp lines when folded back.

The Ultra Light Down Seamless Parka is an increasingly popular item in this range for its ability to shut out wind to maintain warmth.

SEAMLESS DOWN: UNIQLO’s Seamless Down items employ crimping to minimize the number of seams and to keep the cold and rain at bay. An inner layer of just one of these light items keeps wearers snug even in the depths of winter.

This season sees style options broaden with the addition of highly functional next-generation pieces that eliminate the need for heavy winter outerwear. Water-repellent fabric finishes and seamless designs provide double protection against rain and snow.

Another benefit is unparalleled down retention. UNIQLO offers Seamless Down parkas, coats, and other stylish items incorporating the Seamless Down. The women’s Seamless Short Coat now employs a soft fabric for enhanced comfort.

BLOCKTECH: Light and soft Blocktech is perfect for shutting out the rain and wind with its durable water-repellent coating that keeps wearers dry. The fabric is also breathable, releasing moisture to keep sweat at bay and maintain comfort. UNIQLO has expanded the lineup of everyday apparel, employing this high-performance technology to deliver comfort to high mobility lifestyles.

Blocktech parkas offer outstanding stretch to keep movement free in active casual and sports situations. This season, new ventilation specifications have been adopted on the Women’s Soutien Collar Coats and Women’s Blocktech Parkas to improve breathability.

Blocktech performance utility wear epitomizes UNIQLO’s commitment to innovation.

FLEECE: Light and soft Fleece keeps you warm and comfortable. It is easy to wash, dries fast, and is a versatile essential in any wardrobe. It is also a great fabric for outerwear, T-shirts, and sweaters. The Fleece range has been updated this season to offer stylish new T-shirts, jackets, and coats in even more colors.

The Fall/Winter 2018 lineup includes more Fleece Crew Neck T-Shirts. Also new is Fluffy Yarn Fleece outerwear, as well as boa fleeces for women and men, including Windproof Pile-Lined Fleece Long Sleeve Hoodies for men.

Subtle new color variations on most items add styling options. The diverse hues and designs in the latest UNIQLO Fleece lineup deliver warmth and comfort for all.

KNITS: UNIQLO’s world-class knits are carefully crafted with select natural materials and advanced manufacturing techniques. Available in an array of color variations, this quality LifeWear line easily becomes an accessible wardrobe basic.

Beginning this Fall/Winter 2018, UNIQLO has made the switch to Premium Lambs’ Wool. Its exceptionally fine fibers make it warmer and smoother than regular lambs’ wool. Items incorporating 100% Extra Fine Merino Wool are equally as comfortable. All pieces resist pilling, are machine washable, and retain their shape for longer wear. UNIQLO also offers 100% Cashmere items whose wool is sourced from top-quality producers.

This season, UNIQLO introduces more women’s items made using the WHOLEGARMENT 3D knit technology that has proved so popular with Uniqlo U offerings. These knits enhance feminine figures while delivering seam-free comfort.

Note: Some items have seams

These jeans also feature an elastic waist for easy adjustment and deliver a perfect skinny fit length and silhouette.

UNIQLO’s EZY Ankle Pants make it a snap for men and women to stay stylishly on-trend without sacrificing comfort. Design highlights include a combination of a slim tapered silhouette with an elastic waist for a snug fit.

Comfortable and wrinkle-resistant, the EZY Ankle Length pants are the ideal dress pants for women on-the-go. Updated for fall/winter with a tapered cut for a sleeker silhouette and a higher rise, this pair works as well in the boardroom as it does on a casual weekend.

The EZY Satin Style Ankle Length pants feature a light, neat ankle-length cropped design. Stretch satin material gives it an elegant glossy sheen, and a simple solid color with an accent stripe at the waist lends a playful twist. A center crease adds a stylish touch that goes well with dressy or casual outfits.

The updated EZY Ankle Length Pants are designed with a new cotton material with anti-microbial and anti-odor properties. Made from stretch material for comfort and ease of movement, the trousers easily transition from work wear to sports and casual wear.

New season styles for men include EZY Ankle Length Pants in Cotton, DRY-EX Ultra Stretch, and Wool-like fabrics.

KIDS & BABIES

UNIQLO enjoys creating fun and fashionable clothes for kids and babies. Feel and functionality are thus central to the innovations for this season.

The Light Warm Padded outerwear features functional padding developed with Toray Industries. Not only is it light and warm, it is now machine washable. UNIQLO has expanded color variations to make it even easier to choose just the right hue.

Pants are central to coordinating kids’ items. Launching this season is the Ultra Stretch Ankle Pants. Also new to the lineup is the Two-Way Blanket for infants that can be used as covers for baby slings and strollers.

Through its apparel, UNIQLO demonstrates its commitment to supporting the healthy development of children from the day they are born. The company also caters to the needs of expectant mothers through the recently launched maternity line, which now includes Ankle Pants.
