We are just a couple of weeks away from determining who will lead the Philippines in the next six years.

Every candidate have detailed their platforms with a few tirades against their opponents along the way. and so far its shaping out to be the most exciting one we've had in history thanks to social media.

You might have your choices, even prepared a list but have you shown your true colors yet?

Putting some fun and color in an otherwise very serious election season M&M shakes up the campaign trail with the  Vote M&M’S 2016 campaign.


From catchy campaign slogans to snazzy jingles, the Vote M&M’S 2016 Campaign heated up at the exciting Miting de Avance, held at the Makati Coliseum last April 22, 2016.  

Guests cheered the arrival of Red, Yellow and Green as they made their grand entrance from the M&M’S Motorcade and the three M&M’S® Characters went on to wow the crowd as they danced, debated and posed with fans.

The event was a fun way to get to know the three M&M’S candydates vying to win the M&M’S Character of the Year Award.  At the Q&A, the three characters revealed their fun personalities as they answered all-important questions like Why should I vote for you?  and showcased their talent at a dance-off supported by their respective cheer squad.

Guests were also able to play games like the ring toss, swim in the ball pit and win colorful M&M’S merchandise. Of course, they all stopped by the ballot box to support their candydate and took home souvenir photos decked in the paraphernalia of their favorite M&M’S®character.

“Last year, the M&M’S® Characters had a fantastic time visiting the Philippines’ most popular tourist sites. Red, Yellow and Green loved it here so much that they couldn’t resist coming back and bringing their own brand of spontaneous fun to the elections,” said Henry Azcarraga, Mars Chocolate, Philippines Country Director.

Fans of the M&M’S characters can still join the Vote M&M’S 2016 campaign and get the chance to win a P5,000 in cash or M&M’S merchandise at the weekly raffle. Will you vote Matapang and Magaling Red? A powerful and a fearless leader, Red is the candydate who will see you through tough times.

Or will you support Kabarkada ng Bayan Yellow? The friendliest candydate, Yellow is always seeing the sunny side of things. If you’re looking for someone sweet and reliable, then he’s your choice.

And last but definitely not least is Ang Confidently Smart Bae-yani Green. The epitome of Girl Power, Green is one magnetic candydate and with her charm and wit, voters are sure to find her irresistible.

To vote, simply post a caption on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram on your chosen candidate with the corresponding hashtags: I vote Red!  #mmsred, I vote Yellow! #mmsyellow or I vote Green! #mmsgreen, and get the chance to win prizes weekly!

Share your selfie with your favorite M&Ms Characters and win prizes!

What is your favorite color of M&Ms? Have you ever segregate them when you eat them or you just pick any color indiscriminately. My favorite M&M color is green for some reason that it makes me happy and perky. Whatever colors you have in mind, M&Ms is now here in the Philippines to spread their vibrant colors this summer.

M&Ms recently launched its Philippine Tour last April 24 at The Atrium, Eastwood Mall with M&Ms PH ambassador Luis Manzano and Mars Chocolate, Southeast Asia Country Director. Henry Azcarraga. 

“Mr Know-It-All” Red, cool Blue, optimist Yellow, sexy and confident Green and worrisome Orange – these world-famous M&M’S Characters drove their Filipino fans wild at a meet-the-fans session at The Atrium, Eastwood Mall.

These irresistible M&M’S Characters are here in Manila for a first-hand experience of fun in the Philippines whilst spreading their own brand of spontaneous fun! From now till 31st May 2015, they will be sharing the excitement of our favorite M&M’S® Chocolate and Merchandise, making in-store appearances and introducing exciting activities such as the M&M’S Pose Pinoy Selfie Contest.

“The campaign – “M&M’S Philippines Tour” is a one and a half month campaign to reintroduce the much loved M&M’S Characters who, through in-store appearances and activities, will share the spontaneous fun and excitement of M&M’S Chocolates. Attention to all choco-locos! Your chocolate idols are here in Manila to spread more fun in the fun capital of the world! Who are they? They are none other than the M&M’S characters! Let’s get to know our favorite M&M’S characters more in this in-depth personality sketch.

THE HOT RED
He’s as Bright as His Color

Also known as “Mr. Know-It-All”, Red likes to make decisions for everyone. He’s known to boss around the other M&M’S characters, especially Yellow.
Although arrogant at times, Red saves his friends from tight situations which is why he’s known to be the leader of the gang.
If you spend a day with Red, expect to step out of your comfort zone because he loves to take on challenges. He’ll challenge you to an arm wrestling contest to see who’s stronger between the both of you. He’ll never agree with your opinions but he will stimulate your brain cells in a healthy debate.

THE COOL BLUE
He’s Cooler than the Other Side of Your Pillow

Also known as “Mr. Suave”, Blue has a James Dean personality that the ladies love. He is known to be the relaxed and easy going M&M’S character. Cool and talented, Blue enjoys playing his Saxophone during his leisure time.  You can expect a chillaxing day when hanging out with Blue. His ideas of fun are road-tripping and chilling on the hood of his car while listening to Herbie Hancock.


THE CHARMING YELLOW
He Gives the Warmest Hugs

Also known as “Mr. Nice Guy”, Yellow is the optimist of the gang. He’s known to be the clingy best friend of Red and he follows Red around.

Although naive at times, Yellow never fails to keep his smile and fun personality in any type of situation.

If you’re having a bad day, Yellow is the M&M’S to call. He’ll surely turn your frown upside down. He’ll make silly faces, tell funny stories, and do crazy stunts just to see you smile. He’ll do anything to cheer you up! Expect to feel positivity and laughter when Yellow is around.

THE SEXY GREEN
She puts the Fab in Fabulous

Also known as “The Diva”, Green always gets her way with anything by using her beauty and charm. She’s known to be the go-getter of the gang.

Sexy and self-confident, Green knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to do whatever it takes to get it.

You will enjoy a treat-your-self day with Green. She will take you out shopping, get your hair done and your nails painted too! Expect a total make-over when hanging out with Green because she believes that an M&M’S has to look good to feel good.

THE IRRESISTABLE ORANGE
He’s Worried

Also known as “Mr. Paranoid”, Orange is quite the worrisome ones. He’s always looking out to avoid anyone who tries to eat him.

Despite his paranoia, Orange carefully analyse situations before he jumps into doing something crazy with his friends.

Hang out indoors with Orange during a rainy day! You can enjoy playing board games, a competitive game of chest or even dominos but expect to take several hours to finish one game because he’ll second guess his every move, every time.
