Who will be The Pop Stage Champion and win P1 Million from Popeyes?



Despite the pandemic, the resourcefulness and creativity of Filipinos continue to shine as incredibly talented individuals take centerstage in "The Pop Stage," an online show created and hosted by Matteo Guidicelli. Now that the competition is getting more intense, we are getting closer to finding out who will be The Pop Stage champion and bring home the PHP 1 million cash prize from Popeyes Philippines and the 1-year contract with Viva Artists Agency.

The Pop Stage has recently revealed the Final 6 who will be moving on to the grand finals and have a chance to win life-changing prizes.

Guidicelli, together with singers Jed Madela & Lani Misalucha, and G-Force dancer Ritz Beltran, watched and deliberated the 13 semifinalists based on originality and creativity, quality of performance, and entertainment value.
By the end of the semifinals, the six contenders with the highest scores earned them a spot in the competition's grand finals.



Among the Final 6 is spoken word poet Martin Naling who recited a tear-jerking piece about the struggles and hardships of overseas Filipino workers. CJ Villavicencio, with his cover of "Pwede Ba" by Lola Amour, and Job Christian Tolonghari, who sang an original song titled "O Binibini, Pwede Ba?", also made it to the Grand Finals.

Joining them in the grand finals are dancer El-John Zian, who grooved to the song "Unang Hakbang" by Quest; Dia Mate who gave refreshing vibes with her song titled "Drowning;" and beatboxer ROXORBEAT with his catchy tunes.

With the Final 6 now complete, the competition is not yet over as the remaining acts prepare to show all they’ve got in the upcoming grand finals. In the end, only one winner will receive the grand prize worth Php 1 million and a one-year contract with Viva Artists Agency. The Pop Stage is presented with the support of Popeyes Philippines and Viva Artists Agency.

Join “The Pop Stage” to win Php1M and talent contract

Singer-actor Matteo Guidicelli will be setting up an online talent reality competition titled "The Pop Stage" to discover the next idol in the entertainment industry. The show will be presented by Popeyes in partnership with Viva Artists Agency.

"There are so many talented Filipinos, a lot of viral videos, a lot of crazy performances going around, but we want to make it legit. We want everyone in the world to see your skills and what you can do," Guidicelli said during the online launch of Central Delivery, a new delivery service that also offers food items from Popeyes Philippines.

Guidicelli explained that the entries will be deliberated by a panel of judges. Those who will be chosen will be featured on a weekly show that will be streamed both on The Pop Stage’s Facebook Page at @thepopstage and Matteo Guidicelli’s Facebook page at @matteog. No need for selected contestants to leave their homes for the weekly show - arrangements will be made so they can stream from their current locations.

Catch "Hey Matteo" on Nov 30 at the Kia Theater



After his very successful concert in Cebu last year, Matteo Guidicelli is once again taking centerstage, this time in Manila, with ”Hey Matteo" to be held at the Kia Theater on November 30, 2017 at 7:30PM.





”Hey Matteo” will give fans a glimpse into a different Matteo. This concert will introduce Matteo The Singer to the public. Though he has sung live on W and in personal appearances, this is Matteo’s first time to headline a concert in Manila. To say that he is excited is an understatement, especially because singing is one of his passions and it allows him the opportunity to share a side of himself with his fans that they may not always see in his Movie and TV roles. ”Singing for me is freedom, honesty, and telling your story. Singing and music will be the most natural, the most real, the most raw form of art . ”



“Hey Matteo" will be a coming together of artists whose passion and commitment to excellence know no bounds. It combines Matteo’s talents and enthusiasm with the creativity of Concert Director Rowell Santiago and Musical Director Louie Ocampo.



Having worked with Matteo in various projects in the past, both directors have borne witness to his growth as an artist and musician. With a repertoire that was carefully planned and selected, the concert will tell Matteo’s story through songs that strike the perfect balance between a youthful vibe and the 90s sound.

Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championships launches on July 7 at The Shangrila The Fort BGC. Close to 3,000 participants from 43 countries, led by very strong lineup of pros, will converge in Cebu on August 7, 2016  for the Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championships presented by Ford at Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa. 






Titleholders Tim Reed and Caroline Steffen will banner a world-class field of 35 professional triathletes that will also feature 2,869 equally determined competitors in the Filipino elite, CEOs, age groups and relay divisions.



Excitement for the prestigious event has been high since it was first announced that Cebu will be the hosting the 2016 Asia Pacific Ironman 70.3 Championship event. The event sold out 2,900 slots in 28 minutes when registration opened in October 2015.

Single/Single barkada tells all in episode 6



This week in Single/Single, find out the secrets your favorite barkada are keeping as they “tell all” and open up to a new character on the show.



Joee, played by Shaina Magdayao, finds herself confessing how she really feels about Steve, played by JC Santos.  It seems like the sparks of their romance are slowly fading as she avoids spending time with him and more on work. What truths will Joee reveal?



Cherie Gil’s character, Bianca, on the other hand, feels neglected by his son Joey, played by Matteo Guidicelli.  Now that Joey is bent on being a successful entrepreneur, he devotes all his time and effort to the opening of his business venture, Bistro Biajo.  Despite being business partners, their mother and son bonding have boiled down to discussions about  bottomlines and the tasks they need to do for the launch of their bistro. What does a mom do when her son ignores her? She shares all her woes to the new guy.



In the previous episodes, we saw Anna Luna’s character, Ranee, get swept off her feet by Randy, the hunk she met at Mama Yo’s Salon.  While he appears to be interested in her, why is Mr. Prince Charming not making any concrete moves? It was a day of fun and excitement when Matteo Guidicelli was presented to the press as the new endorser of Mentos on March 20, 2014 at the Century Mall Cinema.  Meeting him in person, made us all girls fell in love right away with his charms.
