Avida Land Celebrates 34 Years with Grand Neighbor Day: Strengthening Community and Sustainability

Avida Land celebrated its 34th anniversary by bringing backGrand Neighbor Day to strengthen community ties and promote sustainable livingThis nationwide celebration brought Avida residents together in their respective communities to forge new friendships through activities inspired by the theme, "Connect & Thrive: Building Stronger Communities Together.”

"For our 34th anniversary, we seek to make it significant by inviting our residents to participate in this milestone as we bring back Grand Neighbor Day," Nancy Delegencia, Customer Care and Product Delivery Group Head of Avida. “This is the time where all our residents celebratetogether in different locations with the common goal of forging stronger community connections dedicated to inspiring lives and fostering a sustainable lifestyle.”

Chief among these events was The Grand Reveal of each respective community’s entry for the Avida Upcycling Competition. Each community united together to create a Christmas lantern using upcycled PET bottles and other recyclable materials. To determine the winning designs, Avida Land enlisted a panel of esteemed judges who evaluated the entriesThe judging panel included notable figures such as Dr. Carlomar Aracngel Daoana, an award-winning curator, art writer and a published poet; Joshua Limon Palisoc, a talented young visual artist known for his metal sculptures and upcycling projects; Atty. Joseph Gonzales, a prominent art curator and the man behind one of the most progressive galleries in the Philippines; and Petes Gamboa from Ayala Land, Head of Innovation & Design in the Core Residential Business Group.

The contest was joined by several Avida communities nationwide including: Avida Towers Vireo and Avida Towers One Union Place in Arca South, Avida Towers Turf in BGC, Avida Towers Vita in Vertis North, Avida Towers Riala in Cebu, Avida Towers Atria in Iloilo, Hillcrest Estates NUVALI and Southfield Settings NUVALI in Laguna, and Serin East Tagaytay and Avida Verra Settings Vermosa in Cavite.

After much deliberation, three winners were finally determined. Team Avida Verra Settings Vermosa was declared Grand Winner, followed by Team Avida Towers Riala in second place and Team Serin East Tagaytay in third place.

Gerryringo L. Lariza, leader of the winning Avida Verra Settings Vermosa (AVSV) team, spoke about the inspiration behind their design. “The AVSV Lantern 2024 landscape flower design aims to create a warm, inviting atmosphere that embodies the Filipino-Verra Christmas spirit. Using vibrant plastics, PET bottles, and construction debris to create flowers, traditional decor, and symbolic lighting elements, this display brings to life the theme of unity and family,” he says. “This design will make the AVSV Lantern 2024 a memorable and heartfelt celebration for the community, truly capturing the essence of ‘Isang Pamilya Tayo Ngayong Pasko.’”

Ththread of sustainable creativity ran through other activities available to residents on Grand Neighbor Day as well. Kids and adults alike engaged in arts and crafts with the “Debris to Design: Recycling to Create Home Décor.” Here, materials like tissue rolls, cans, and bottles weretransformed into custom-made pieces that can happily brighten up any home.

Of course, no Pinoy celebration is complete without a fest either. As Filipinos are known to gather and connect over food, so too did Avida residents share personal favorites with each other in the “A Taste of My Hometown” activity.

“At Avida, not only do we provide inspired life spaces for our residents, but also how the relationships they nurture enhance their living experience,” said Delegencia. “We’re glad to have hosted yet another successful Grand Neighbor Day that brings our residents closer to each other through the joy of sustainable lifestyle activities.”

Team leader Jhocel Malicsi and his group executed their winning mural design on one of the exterior walls of theSouth Park Center. Using paints provided by Davies Paints, they turned the wall into a massive, eye-catching canvas on which the theme was well-interpreted in vivid colors with a clear visual story.

Towering 20 meters above the ground, “In Her Future Memories” is the biggest creative mural in the South that is expected to draw multitudes of art lovers and visitors to South Park District, a 6.6-hectare master planned mixed-use development in Alabang, Muntinlupa City that is home to 2 Avida residential developments which are Avida Towers Ardane - a pre-selling property, and Avida Towers Altura - a move-in ready home, right across the South Park Center and South Park Corporate Center

Avida Land's Marketing Head, Tess Tatco, beams with excitement for South Park District's newest attractionThetowering mural joins Reginald Yuson's existing installations, painting a vision for South Park as a vibrant place to live and thrive. Tatco envisions not just Avida residents, but people from different cities visiting the muralin person“Come see ‘In Her Future Memories’ for yourself,” she invites everyone, “and step beneath the towering canvas, feel the pulse of the city and nature merge, and rediscover the charm of the South.”

The mural’s creative team designed the art piece to adhere to the competition’s theme of “Part City, Part Nature, Pure South”. It prominently depicts a female cyborg whose mechanical parts seamlessly blend with a backdrop of brightly hued tropical flowers, creating a fusion of technology and nature. On the left, where the flowers open up to the futuristic city skyline, onlookers are invited to imagine what tomorrow might bring.

Through its appealing imagery, the mural transports us to a world where concrete skyscrapers rise amidst vibrant flora, symbolizing a hopeful future where progress does not come at the expense of the natural world. It’s an image that evokes nostalgia and a feeling of deep connection to one’s hometown.

This artwork transcends its physical form, offering an opportunity for reflection and creative expression - where casual passersby and art lovers can capture their own special moment and share this online.

Avida Land jump-started the celebration of its 32nd anniversary with the recent launch of the Ayala Malls Manila Bay Showroom

I've always wondered what it's like to live in a condo--to have a gym, pool, park, salons, and stores--- all the conveniences just an elevator ride away.

What's it like to have neighbors and the chance to meet new people and experience the epitome of urban living.

Well, i got a feel of the condo life yesterday at the Avida showroom!

And I got to be owner for a day of not just a regular condo, but one of the most spacious, comfy and luxurious model units of Patio Madrigal and Centralis Towers.

Now I cant wait to tell my partner about and convince him about fulfilling my condo dreams ☺️ #Manifest

Patio Madrigal is along Roxas Boulevard, while Centralis Towers is near Taft Avenue, Pasay.

Both condos are situated near the Manila Bay Area, offering easy access to all the new developments in the area like the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

Avida Land jump-started the celebration of its 32nd anniversary in October with the recent launch of the Ayala Malls Manila Bay Showroom

From houses and lots to condominiums to corporate offices to integrated mixed-use developments, there’s no stopping Avida Land from creating endless opportunities for Filipinos to thrive.

Now touting a growing portfolio of 100 projects in 25 prime locations, Avida Land jump-started the celebration of its 32nd anniversary in October with the recent launch of the Ayala Malls Manila Bay Showroom.

Avida’s Vice President for Sales and Marketing, Ms. Bing Gumboc

Attesting to the brand’s continuing legacy, the opening of the Manila Bay showroom has roused significantexpectations on the part of Avida’s Vice President for Sales and Marketing, Ms. Bing Gumboc, who describes the Ayala Malls Manila Bay Showroom “as a place where home seekers can have a quick and sweeping glimpse of the curated Avida lifestyle in its intimate yet inspiring form.”

Gumboc likewise points out that the showroom being inside the Ayala Malls makes it easier for prospective home buyers and investors to learn more about Avida projects and be assisted by their property specialists.

The official interior design partner for the Manila Bay Showroom, M Contemporary Interior Concept Corp. brought a “Japandi” design approach to the showroom that merges Scandinavian functionality with Japanese minimalism. This aesthetic perfectly highlights Avida Land’s newest and most exciting projects: Centralis Towers on Taft Avenue in Pasay City and Patio Madrigal on Roxas Boulevard, Manila.

Centralis Towers is a 3,380 sqm., one-tower high-rise development featuring 5 podium levels and 27 residential floors with 1,111 units. It is primed to be a modern urban living hub for discerning but value-conscious professionals, aspirational young families, empty nesters, and savvy investors.

Centralis Towers’ strategic location on the Pasay City section of Taft Avenue gives its residents close proximity to the three dynamic cities of Pasay, Makati, and Manila, placing lifestyle necessities within easy access. In fact, just 500 meters away from Gil Puyat Ave., Centralis Towers is the place to be for those seeking an affordable residence near a CBD or investors looking to lease out their units to professionals in nearby workplaces.

Regie Alabe, Avida’s Business Area Head of Metro South, introduces the company’s two latest developments: Centralis Towers and Patio Madrigal

“Considering its thoughtfully designed units (Studio, Jr. 1 Bedroom, 1 Bedroom, and 2 Bedroom Unit Types) and sensible amenities, Centralis Towers offers its residents a place where they can focus on what's essential and a location that inspires a live-work-play lifestyle,” Mr. Regie Alabe, Avida Land’s Business Area Head of Metro South, said in a briefing.

Meantime, the living is easy at Patio Madrigal, Avida’s two-tower mid-rise development. Built from a joint partnership with the Madrigal family, Patio Madrigal rises from a 6,222.50 sqm. land and consists of 4 podium levels and 14 residential floors, with 595 units in Tower 1 alone. Patio Madrigal is also the first Ayala and Avida project in the Roxas Boulevard area.

The midrise condo’s three-level retail spaces for commercial and office use will complement select amenities in redefining residents’ lifestyles, needs, and preferences. This grants Patio Madrigal premium leverage as it offers the much-sought-after Ayala Land lifestyle in a traditionally coveted address.

Patio Madrigal will feature well-designed Studio, Jr. 1 Bedroom, and 1 Bedroom units, just the right accommodations for business owners, young professionals, wise investors, OFW returnees, and retirees. Most of the units in the development come with their own balcony, providing an “extension” of the residents’ living space—one from which they can view the famed Manila Bay sunset or the bustling metropolis’ skyline.

Since the projects’ launch, value appreciation of these two projects has surged. Centralis Towers is 22 percent sold while 29 percent of Patio Madrigal has been sold and reserved. To date, investment in Centralis Towers starts at ₱5.9 million while investment in Patio Madrigal starts at ₱7.9 million.

As Avida continues to inspire Filipino home seekers in fulfilling their aspirations for homeownership, Ayala Malls Manila Bay Showroom is ready to help make this happen.

On September 23, the showroom opens its doors to the public. The Manila Bay Showroom is located on the second floor, Filipino Village. It is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.

Right across the showroom is the Food Wanderer x Lakbay Museo, which is the newest and largest interactive art museum.
