CREBA’s housing vision gets support from industry icons

The long term vision of “A Home for Every Filipino” being advocated by the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations Inc. (CREBA) gains ground and draws the support of government and industry icons.

CREBA National President, Noel Toti M. Cariño, Housing Committee Chair, Senator Joseph Victor G. Ejercito, Executive Vice President, Elsie D. Chua, and Academic Programs Chair, Avelina P. Acuña.

That support can be gleaned from the participation of lawmakers, key shelter agency heads, government officials, and industry experts in CREBA’s forthcoming national convention and housing expo and its sponsorship by leading firms in various sectors.

Senator JV Ejercito, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Housing, Urban Development, and Resettlements, leads government officials who will grace the convention as guest speakers.

According to CREBA National President Noel Toti M. Cariño, the 3-day CREBA National Convention and Housing Expo slated from September 26-28, 2023 at the SMX Mall of Asia and Conrad Hotel Manila is expected to draw the attendance of most of the major real estate industry players from all over the country as the group celebrates its 50th founding anniversary. CREBA is touted as the ‘oldest and largest’ umbrella advocacy group in the housing sector.

Elsie D. Chua, Executive Vice President and chair of the organizing committee said that the housing expo will open to the public starting September 26 featuring real estate developers, banks, government financial institutions, contractors, construction supplies manufacturers, online payment gateways, building technologies, furniture, home improvement tips and design inspirations.

It will also be dotted with free seminars on housing for OFWs, seafarers, teachers, employees, and uniformed personnel as well as CPD sessions and accreditation for real estate brokers and salespersons. Expo visitors can expect on-site freebies, promos, and discounts on training on international marketing and land titling.

Day 1 of the convention will focus on unlocking investments and affordable home financing. Day 2 will cover topics and expert speakers on building the future through infrastructure innovations and green practices. The culminating day on September 28 will tackle sustainable solutions by navigating through global best practices and will feature a CEO forum with the heads of the country’s top developer corporations.

A major highlight of the confab is the conferment of the CREBA Pillar Awards to the outstanding “developers of the decade” during the Golden Jubilee Gala Night to recognize excellence and the best of the best in Philippine real estate development in terms of social and economic impacts, innovation, sustainability and adaptation to the changing demands of the property market.

Supporting the convention are leading industry players Boysen, Vistaland and Communityline Housing as Platinum Sponsors.

DMCI Homes, SM Development Corporation, Ayala Land, Megaworld Corporation, San Miguel Corporation, R-Land, and Primehomes are gold sponsors, with Filinvest Land, Robinsons Land, and Sta. Lucia Land as silver sponsor.

Also supporting the event are: Aboitizland, the Pag-IBIG Fund, the Ascott Ltd., Cebu Landmasters Inc., Bank of the Philippine Islands, PH1 World Developers, Rua Seguridad, RBRA Technologies, CDC Holdings, E. Ganzon Inc., Duraville Group, Dulalia Homes, Hausland Development Corp., Federal Land, Active Group, Surepanel, IPM Realty, Megawide and Paymongo, Chua announced.

“All roads lead to this national event involving government and private industry stakeholders from CREBA’s close to 30 chapters nationwide,” Cariño further said.

Citing real estate as encompassing all businesses, the CREBA leaders called on all its members, partners, and allies across the industry to join the event and take part in this crucial phase of national development.

Interested parties may contact the event organizers via https://crebalegacyat50.com or Viber: (0922) 877-1332.

Christmas tradition is back LIVE and ON-GROUND at Ayala Triangle Gardens

Ayala Land makes Christmas happen with the return of Festival of Lights 2022!

After running virtual editions of the Festival of Lights to continue the well-loved tradition while ensuring safety during the pandemic, the most anticipated family Christmas tradition is back LIVE and ON-GROUND at Ayala Triangle Gardens with never-before-seen features to usher a BIGGER and BRIGHTER celebration.

Bobby Dy, Ayala Land President and CEO, shares, “The Festival of Lights is more than just a visual spectacle and delightful sounds. It is a well-loved annual tradition that has enabled us to connect with the community in a very unique way. It has brought joy to millions as it brings together people from all walks of life and from all over the country.”

In partnership with Kroma and Acid House, Ayala Land begins the affair with a fun and quirky introduction to the actual Light Show. Aimed to build a celebratory vibe by creating excitement in light the two-year pause, the intro video—following the idea of “The Christmas Lights Factory”—suggests that Santa and the elves are working hard to bring the Light Show back. Projected on the canopy façade, everyone gathered at Ayala Triangle Gardens will catch the elves as they prepare the Christmas lights machine to work. As soon as it does, the machine produces lights of various shapes, colors, and sizes. The elves, then, pick these up and transport each element from the screen to the trees surrounding ATG. It ends with Santa with a powerful switch that turns everything on, ready for the Light Show.

Cheng Kabigting, Head of Sales and Marketing of Kroma Entertainment; Ian Monsod, CEO of Kroma Entertainment; GA Fallarme, Festival of Lights 2022 technical director; Sueyen Austero, Festival of Lights 2022 lighting director; Ohm David, Festival of Lights 2022 show director; Misha Quimpo, Project Development Manager for Makati; Mel Ignacio, Senior Estate Head of Makati; Robert Lao, Senior Vice President and Group Head of Ayala Land Estates;  Bobby Dy, President and CEO of Ayala Land; Bea Zobel de Ayala, Jr.; Jaime Zobel de Ayala, Sr.; Beatriz Zobel de Ayala; Sofia Zobel Elizalde; Honorable Abby Binay, Mayor of Makati; Honorable Luis Campos, Congressman of Makati (Second District Representative); Honorable Monique Lagdameo, Vice Mayor of Makati; Chrissy Roa, Head of Marketing and Communications, Ayala Land Estates; Sharon Vital, Marketing Manager for Makati; Alex Jamisola, Senior Marketing Associate for Makati; Maestro Jeffrey Solares of the Manila Symphony Orchestra; Mikey Amistoso and Jazz Nicolas, Festival of Lights 2022 musical composers

Director Ohm David and Lighting Designer Sueyen Austero conceptualized this year’s grand presentation. As Christmas tunes play, visuals will be projected on the trees around ATG. It begins with moving constellations that slowly form colorful indigenous patterns to tell the story of creation. As the scene builds, the screen blacks out then reveals stars, halos, parols, and other festive icons, which then merge to form a kaleidoscope of images. Moving and turning, it will ultimately end with an explosion of colors.

Accompanying the light show are three holiday medleys. The first is an orchestral rendition headed by the Manila Symphony Orchestra, followed by an upbeat TikTok rendition arranged by Jazz Nicolas and Mikey Amistoso, in collaboration with Tris Suguitan. The show concludes with a soothing chorale rendition by Jazz Nicolas and Mikey Amistoso.

The Festival of Lights has been globally recognized as as one of the best Christmas displays in the world, with many awards and citations received over the years. Bobby Dy furthers, “It’s a platform to showcase the Filipino talent. Together with our team, select Filipino designers, musical composers, and many local artists, have worked together to create this one-of-a-kind original show.”

Honorable Abby Binay, Mayor of Makati, muses, “The lights in Ayala Triangle have always been a symbol of hope, bringing people together and symbolizing the community spirit, which makes our city so unique. As we prepare for the Christmas festivities, let us all remember to keep that spirit alive and continue working towards a better and brighter future. In Makati, we make it happen.”

Everyone is invited to watch the Festival of Lights at Ayala Triangle Gardens running every night until January 8, 2023. The show plays every hour, with the first run at 6pm and last run at 10pm.

Come Back to Christmas at Ayala Land

Makati is the home of various Christmas initiatives that have become annual traditions. For decades, families have been flocking together to witness the brightly-lit Ayala Avenue with festive decorations that fascinate adults and children alike. This yearly event would always be followed by the Festival of Lights, which is a brilliant, family-oriented show at Ayala Triangle Gardens. However, with the recent pandemic that quaked the nation, traditions were challenged and face-to-face gatherings stopped…but only for a while.

In 2020 and 2021, Ayala Land held its traditional events either virtually or on a very intimate scale on site. But now, after a two-year hiatus, Makati will once again MAKE CHRISTMAS HAPPEN. This 2022, Ayala Land invites everyone to celebrate the kind of Christmas that they love and miss by launching a series of BIGGER and BRIGHTER displays and events running from November to December.

Ready to ignite your spirit this holly-jolly season? Check out these events happening in none other than the vibrant and trailblazing city of Makati.

November 3: Ayala Avenue Ceremonial Lighting of Christmas Decors

Ayala Land is lighting up Ayala Avenue to officially welcome the Christmas season. The ceremony is putting local heritage on the forefront as ornaments commonly found in holiday-decorated Filipino homes—like parols, stars, and capiz lights—adorn the Makati Central Business District. In the spirit of keeping cherished traditions and in line with Ayala Land’s advocacy for sustainability, the giant parols from last year’s decorations will remain to be the main element. The parol, after all, is the best way to symbolize the Filipino Christmas and is also a symbol of hope.

This year, to show that the Christmas spirit is truly alive in Makati, more parts of Ayala Avenue will be lit up. In addition to the decorations in front of Tower One, each bay along the whole stretch of Ayala Avenue will now have more ornaments. A gigantic parol installation by the courtyard of Ayala Triangle Gardens was also added to make it easier for those who would like to have their photo taken close to the decorations.

Drive down with your family and witness the magic as your littles ones gleam with joy at the sight of dazzling, giant parols.

November 10: Festival of Lights at Ayala Triangle Gardens

After two years of virtual shows, the Festival of Lights is finally going back to Ayala Triangle Gardens LIVE starting November 10.

This year’s show will be a LIVE 360-degree experience. The light show that people have come to love through the years will still be there. Conceptualized by Director Ohm David and Lighting Designer Sueyen Austero, the familiar dancing string lights and magical laser lights with floating shapes will remain, but in addition, a gigantic 3D animated video will be projected on the canopy façade at the Ayala Triangle Gardens courtyard. The 3D projection, created in collaboration with Kroma and Acid House, will begin the show with a fun and magical introduction to the actual Light Show.

Three musical medleys with a fresh, new take were composed to accompany the show. The first is an orchestral rendition by the Manila Symphony Orchestra, followed by a TikTok inspired rendition - a collaboration among composers Tris Suguitan, Jazz Nicolas and Mikey Amistoso, and finally a chorale rendition by musical composer Jazz Nicolas. The chorale medley features the angelic voices of the Pembo Elementary School children’s choir.

December 2 to 31: Christmas market at Ayala Triangle Gardens

Looking for something new this season? Ayala Land partnered with the French Embassy to put up a one-of-a-kind Christmas Market at Ayala Triangle Gardens. Inspired by the Marche de Noele Christmas market in Paris, Lille, and Starsboug, visitors will be transported to a new kind of atmosphere that merges two cultures: French and Filipino. The Christmas market will feature French restaurants and products, as well as Filipino artisanal goods.

Come by on the launch date, December 2, to catch attractions you wouldn’t want to miss, including performances by French and Philippine children’s choirs, and Carnivale acrobats roaming around ATG!

December 15 to 23: Simbang Gabi at Ayala Triangle Gardens

Christmas traditions can’t be complete without Simbang Gabi. Ayala Land is hosting the gathering of devout Makatizens from December 15 to 23 at Ayala Triangle Gardens. All visitors are also invited to watch the Philippine Youth Symphonic Band perform live at the opening night, December 15, as they commemorate the meaning and purpose of the season.

December 20 to 22: Christmas Holiday Concert at Circuit Makati

What’s more, Ayala Land makes Christmas happen at the Makati-based destination known for entertainment and arts—Circuit Makati. The Samsung Performing Arts Theater is hosting the  Christmas Holiday Concert at Circuit Makati featuring performances by the Manila Symphony Orchestra and Steps Dance Studio among many others.

Finally, a bigger and brighter Christmas is here! Feel the warmth, feel the love, on-ground and face-to-face as Ayala Land makes Christmas happen this 2022 and beyond.

Watch out for "The Festival of Lights 2020" in the social media accounts of Ayala Land and Make It Makati starting November 24

Christmas is just around the corner. Regardless of the current conditions, it remains the most anticipated season among Filipinos. It is the time to celebrate life, relationships, and blessings through gatherings and lively events. This year, the same spirit of the holidays continues to live but a new kind of celebration awaits. In an effort to celebrate the season while ensuring safety, Ayala Land brings joy to families through the country’s first-ever interactive digital lights and sound show, a virtual execution of the annual Christmas event at Ayala Triangle Gardens. Indeed, however the world turns and whatever challenges come its way, some traditions never change.

“The annual lights and sound show has been a family favorite for years. It’s one of the most-awaited Christmas events that brings happiness to people,” shares Mel Ignacio, Head of Makati Estate, Ayala Land. “For this reason, Ayala Land and Make It Makati decided to continue the annual tradition by bringing the show through digital channels. We want the event to spark hope among Filipinos—hope that will help them remember that brighter days lie ahead for all of us.”

Witness an enchanting virtual show of dancing lights and holograms accompanied by a medley of beloved Christmas songs. The “Festival of Lights 2020, Lights and Sound Show Virtual Edition” will be available in the social media accounts of Ayala Land and Make It Makati starting November 24. This year’s virtual digital lights and sound show was conceptualized in collaboration with Globe Studios. Production was led by filmmaker and director, Quark Henares. Together with his team, he recreated the Christmas light show at Ayala Triangle Gardens and turned it into a 360-degree animated video. An exciting orchestration of laser lights, string lights, meteor lights, holograms, and helix lights dancing to Reese Lansangan’s rendition of traditional songs like Oh Holy Night and Jingle Bells are bound to uplift and put anyone into the Christmas mood.

“For all the people who will listen to the music and enjoy the show, I hope they are taken to a magical journey of emotions,” shares Lansangan. “No matter where they are, I want them to feel the rush, the excitement, the flurry of knowing that this special day that we wait for every single year is coming.”

Aside from the 360-degree video, various light show-themed Instagram filters will also be available. People are also invited to join the Finders Keepers contest that will happen every week in December. They can win a prize by simply spotting a hidden element in the virtual light show.

The first ever digital lights and sound show by Ayala Land ultimately aims to bridge people together through shared experiences, while apart. This joyful endeavor is made possible in collaboration with Coca Cola and Globe; along with event partners, Grab and Shopee.

Spread the Yuletide cheer this season as Nuvali lights up its magical field of lights with Disney

I have attended several christmas tree lighting in the past . But nothing beats Ayala Solenad Nuvali musical of laser lights show + lighted christmas trees around the field. I have been attending their event for 3 consecutive years already.  It was always nostalgic. This time they partnered with Walt Disney PH to bring  all your favorite Disney Music/tunes.  It was magical seeing those lighted bright tulips with different colors synching to Disney tunes.  If youre a Disney fan, youll definitely enjoy the musical show. I will be back in a week's time to bring my grand kids with me.

Ayala Malls Solenad "Reimagine the Magic: A Festival of Lights" plays all your favorite Walt Disney music with dancing lights comprised of 5,000 LED bulbs light up like an enchanted field of tulips and Anahaw-like light installations at The Fields, beside Ayala Malls Solenad.

If you are commuting with the family:  There is a P2P Bus available in Greenbelt 2. The fare is P150 per pax going to Ayala Malls Solenad in  Nuvali. It would take you an hour and  a half to travel, given the traffic nowadays.

Ayala Land’s largest sustainable estate Nuvali is presenting its annual immersive light and sound show in partnership with The Walt Disney Company Philippines beginning November 24, 2018.

The show will run every 30 minutes from 6:00 to 10:00PM and can be experienced at the Nuvali football field, also known as The Fields, beside Ayala Malls Solenad.

Affordable housing na #SaktoSayo at BellaVita Homes

Unlike a lot of people, I never thought about buying my own house.

It wasn’t because of lack of ambition, but when you are working and running a household with three kids studying in private school at the same time, and a budget that barely leaves anything for savings, owning a house becomes less of a priority.

Instead you pass those dreams to your children, teaching them the value of education and getting a good job hoping they can live a more comfortable life and have a house they can call their own.

The idea of an investment never seeped in. “Luho lang ang bahay at lupa noon para sa akin. Plus my parents had a house,  same with my in-laws where we lived.  So, there was little reason to look for a house of our own. I know my reason was shallow, plus it was a good location and the only house (if we could ever afford one) was outside Metro Manila and I didn’t have enough savings to pay for monthly amortizations I was just a rank and file employee with three kids to raise.

It was only now that all my kids have families of their own, did I seriously think about getting a house. I also encouraged them to buy a house and lot for themselves even if they don’t plan living there. It’s a good investment because in case something happens, they have a fallback.

Last year,  I joined one of those "housetripping" events in Gen Trias, Cavite. It was a village called Bella Vita, and I immediately liked the place the moment I stepped inside and went on our first tour.

Last week, I returned with the same group of blogger friends to see how the place changed after a year. Back then there were just a few houses and only a handful of residents but now it has transformed into such a big community with lots of families. There are actually a lot of sari sari stores (almost in every corner) which is like those busy streets in Manila.

If you are not familiar with the property, Bella Vita is an affordable housing owned by Ayala Land Inc. It is located at the fast developing area of Gen.Trias Cavite.

BellaVita Land Corp. is a subsidiary of Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) that offers quality homes in the country’s social enterprise communities, allowing residents to enjoy a comfortable living experience – from the house designs to the village features; one will get a sense of how living and livelihood may be seamlessly integrated.

BellaVita aims to bring Ayala Land's singular vision of enhancing land and enriching lives, for more people.

The first Eco-Socialized Project, BellaVita Gen. Trias, offers quality homes that allow residents to enjoy a comfortable living experience -- from the house designs to the village features, one will get a sense of how living and livelihood may be seamlessly integrated.

With BellaVita, minimum wage earners and members of the informal business sector is given the opportunity of experiencing the pride of owning a home.

The future community of BellaVita Gen. Trias will likewise have it's very own mallengke, a 1.1 hectare space dedicated for commercial stalls that budding entrepreneurs and small-scale business owners may consider to start up their mini enterprise.

Every BellaVita development will embody Ayala Land's thrust on sustainable living, empowering the community through sensible and relevant pursuits that only hope to better their living and livelihood conditions, truly complementing its promise - Bahay Saya, Buhay Sagana.
