I have been coloring my hair yearly and then retouching the roots every 5 months, depending if the color fades fast. I have tried coloring my hair from red, blue, gray, purple, and brown. Im quite adventurous with my hair (despite my age hahaha) . After experimenting to all those colors.
I have come to a conclusion that red suits me best and has lesser maintenance. Given that you use the right shampoo, a purple shampoo (which is expensive and hard to find ) and a non sulfate conditioner. If you have colored hair, its best to use shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair to let the color lingers for 6 to 8 months. Plus it does not dry out hair fast.
My hair goal is to use shampoo and conditioner that matches up the condition of my hair. If its imported, the better. I had haircut (long layered) every 3 months to keep up with my layered hair.
