Holiday Binge Goals: 6 Ultimate Series Picks for Your Perfect Break

Holidays are for cozy blankets, warm drinks, and wrapping yourself in stories that transport you to another world. Lucky for you (and us), Lionsgate Play has a handpicked lineup of binge-worthy series that’ll have you glued to the screen faster than you can say, "Where's the remote?"

From nostalgic drama to pulse-pounding action and heartwarming musicals, here's your perfect streaming menu for the unforgettable holiday season. Grab your blanket, settle in, and let the binge-fest begin!

1. Mad Men

Start your binge fest with the moody brilliance of Mad Men. Set in the slick, whiskey-soaked advertising world of the '60s, this series is a masterpiece of drama and questionable life choices. Don Draper (Jon Hamm), with his flawless suits and complicated personal life, will reel you in, but the show's entire cast of characters will keep you hooked. Catch the style, catch the drama—and maybe pour yourself an Old Fashioned while you’re at it.

2. Paris Has Fallen

Need something to counteract the warm fuzzies of the festive season? Enter Paris Has Fallen. With explosive drama (and literal explosions), this action-packed series will crank up your adrenaline. Because nothing screams "holiday spirit" like saving the world one city at a time, right?

3. Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist

What would you do if you could suddenly hear people's inner thoughts through pop songs? That’s Zoey’s new superpower in Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, and honestly we’re here for it. Quirky, emotional, and packed with epic musical numbers, this series will have you laughing, crying, and singing along before the credits roll.

4. Normal People

Feel like breaking your heart a little this holiday? Normal People understood the assignment. This beautifully told story of Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and Connell (Paul Mescal) is as raw and real as it gets. It’s about love in all its messy forms, navigating complex relationships, and growing with the pain of being human. Maybe grab tissues. Definitely grab tissues.

5. Killing Eve

If you haven't yet dived into Killing Eve, where have you been?! This cat-and-mouse drama between Eve (Sandra Oh), a whip-smart MI6 agent, and Villanelle (Jodie Comer), a dangerously charming assassin, is nothing short of addictive. It's sharp, funny, and just the right amount of twisted, with characters you'll love and hate equally.

6. Power Franchise

Want your holiday streaming to last long into the New Year? Hello, Power Franchise. Created by The Good Wifewriter Courtney A. Kemp in collaboration with 50 Cent (who plays recurring character Kanan Stark in the series), this gripping franchise follows the high-stakes world of crime. Starting with the hit series Power and followed by Power Book II, III, and IV, there’s plenty of story to go around. Plus, everyone knows it’s not the holidays without a bit of family drama.

Whether you're in the mood to laugh, cry, or sit on the edge of your seat, Lionsgate Play’s catalog has you covered.

Boy Kills World Now Streaming on Lionsgate Play

When your entire family is wiped out by a power-hungry dynasty, what do you do? If you're Boy, you train with a shadowy shaman, harness the rage of your inner gamer, and channel it all into becoming a lean, mean vengeance machine. Played brilliantly by Bill Skarsgård(It, The Crow), this post-apocalyptic action saga follows Boy, our deaf and mute protagonist, as he tears through waves of enemies searching for his family’s killer, the cunning and deranged Hilda Van Der Koy (Famke Janssen, X-Men).

In his quest for vengeance, Boy crosses paths with a resistance crew, faces off against martial arts tyrants, and wrestles with the ghost of his rebellious sister. With brutal action sequences, a dash of dry wit, and a chaotic dystopian backdrop, you haven’t seen an action film quite like Boy Kills World.

On how he prepared for such a physical role, Bill Skarsgård says, "I would like to think of myself as a physical actor. I like to perform physically and this was a huge challenge for me with all the action moves. So I watched a lot of martial arts movies. It was sort of like learning a completely new language. We trained for six weeks, transforming my body to fit the role, then on top of that, learn how to fight -- not only the action, but the physicality of how the character moved."

On how he felt about casting Bill Skarsgård, director Moritz Mohr tells GamesRadar, "Skarsgård is super expressive with his face, that alone is one big selling point for Boy and he’s a very physical actor but no action movies come to mind. On that first call with him, he was amazing and I was like, 'So yeah, we got the acting part covered, of course, you would knock it out of the park and I know that, but are you up for doing action?' and he's like, 'Absolutely. Big MMA, UFC fan. I want to get in shape. I want to train. I want to do this the right way.' I was like, 'Okay, if you say, so I'm inclined to trust you there.'"

Don’t miss Boy Kills World when it drops on Lionsgate Play this December 27.

"Without Sin" is now streaming exclusively on Lionsgate Play

Get ready to unravel a deadly web of deception with ‘Without Sin’, the gripping psychological thriller streams exclusively on Lionsgate Play this month.

What if everything you believed about the biggest tragedy of your life was suddenly thrown in doubt? In the gripping four-part psychological thriller Without Sin, viewers will be thrust into the tumultuous world of Stella Tomlinson, portrayed by the talented BAFTA winner Vicky McClure. As a mother shattered by her daughter’s murder, Stella is drawn into a web of mystery and deception when she meets Charles Stone (BAFTA nominee Johnny Harris), the man convicted of murdering her daughter.

With another teen's life in peril, the unlikely duo is forced to work together in a desperate bid to uncover the true events of that fateful night. What begins as a quest for closure quickly spirals into a complex web of truth and lies, making Stella question everything she thought she knew about that night.

As Stella delves deeper into the investigation, she begins to question not just Charles's guilt, but the very foundation of her beliefs about her daughter's murder. Without Sin takes viewers on a rollercoaster of suspense and raw emotion, leaving audiences pondering the thin line between villain and victim, and the lengths one will go in search of redemption.

On how the series was conceptualized, writer and creator Frances Poletti told LeftLion“Vicky [McClure] was looking for a project to do back in Nottingham, and she’d watched a Channel 4 documentary about restorative justice and thought there was something really interesting in that. She wanted to dive into the question of what would happen if a mother went to meet the man she believed had killed her child, hoping for an apology, and then he flipped the meeting on its head. So I met with Vicky about the idea, and once I left the room it was all I could think about. Johnny Harris and Vicky have been good mates since the This Is England days, and they wanted to work together again, so I teamed up with them to develop a story.”

In an interview with Big Issue, Vicky McClure spoke about her character saying, “This show used to be called Redemption. And that word is very important. It runs through the heart of the series. Because they both need that. Stella has absolutely nothing to lose. No matter what she finds out, it’s not going to bring her little girl back. At the moment she has very little purpose. Everything’s crumbled around her. So if, all of a sudden, there is a possibility of more answers, she wants to know what those answers are, as painful as it will be.”

Buckle up and prepare for a wild ride as the gripping whodunit, ‘Without Sin’ is set to stream exclusively on Lionsgate Play this November 15.
