Palawan proudly welcomes Philippine TV and movie queen Marian Rivera as its newest brand ambassador

Every peso saved is a step closer to your dream. Start today with easy savings tips and watch your goals get closer every day. With PalawanPay, you can track your savings and spend wisely—lahat nasa app na.

The Palawan Group of Companies (PGC) — home to trusted brands like Palawan Pawnshop, Palawan Express Pera Padala, Palawan ProtekTODO, Palawan Pawnshop Jewelry, and the fast-growing digital wallet PalawanPay — proudly welcomes Philippine TV and movie queen Marian Rivera as its newest brand ambassador.

Renowned for her strong family values and practical approach to managing finances, Marian embodies the qualities that make her an ideal partner for PGC. This collaboration goes beyond a typical endorsement — it is a shared mission to empower communities and promote financial literacy among Filipinos.

"This partnership means so much to me. It is my pleasure to partner with a Filipino company that resonates with my values. Plus, I admire how Palawan continues to innovate to make financial transactions easier and more accessible for our sukis,” Marian shared.

Karlo M. Castro, the President and CEO of PGC, also expressed his excitement over the partnership: "We’ve always looked for someone who truly represents what Palawan stands for — resilience, hard work, and success. Marian’s journey, the sacrifices she has made, and her dedication to her family and career mirror Palawan’s own story.

Growing Priorities and Evolving Roles

With the brand's new tagline, "Subukan Na at Patunayan! I-Palawan Mo na ‘Yan,” Marian's launch as PGC’s new ambassador could not come at a more opportune time. As she approaches her 20th year in showbiz, Marian remains a symbol of resilience, hard work, and grace — qualities that align seamlessly with the brand.

"Nung nagsisimula ako, career lang talaga ang focus ko. Mahirap sa simula, pero dahil sa tiyaga at pagpupursige, unti-unti kong narating ang mga dating pinapangarap ko lang. Maraming challenges, pero sulit lahat. Masaya ako kung nasaan ako ngayon — proud ako sa naging journey ko,” she emphasized.

Now a 40-year-old mom of two, Marian embraces this new chapter of her life with open arms—navigating the journey of motherhood while taking on deeper, more meaningful roles as an actress. Similarly, as the Palawan Group of Companies approaches its 40th anniversary, it continues to evolve, expanding beyond its roots in Palawan Pawnshop and Palawan Pera Express Padala, proving that growth and transformation are essential to lasting success.

“Nagbago na rin ang priorities ko — lalo na ngayong may pamilya ako. Iba na rin ang projects na tinatanggap ko. Mas may lalim at meaning, kagaya ng Rewind (2023) at Balota (2024). Pero kahit nagbabago ang mga roles ko, ako pa rin si Marian — mas mature, pero grounded pa rin,” she shared.

For Marian, growth isn’t just about personal success — it’s about being smarter and more responsible with money, especially now as a hands-on mom, wife, and businesswoman.

"I handle our household expenses and business ventures regularly. To stay organized, I prioritize budgeting and use financial apps to track our income and spending. Each week, I set time to review our financial goals and adjust as needed. This keeps me focused and ensures we’re making smart money decisions,” she added.

So when PGC approached her to become an ambassador, the decision was easy. "I said ‘yes’ because I believe in their mission to provide accessible financial services to every Filipino. Their values align with mine — family, community, and empowerment."

Inspiring Financial Literacy

Beyond promoting the brand, Marian hopes to inspire her fans to take charge of their finances.

"I want to be a role model by encouraging my supporters to manage their money wisely. By partnering with Palawan, I hope to inspire more Filipinos to make informed financial decisions for their families and future."

Of all PGC’s services, Marian admits Palawan Express Pera Padala is the most helpful for her: "It’s a reliable, fast, and affordable way for families to send and receive money — lalo na sa mga OFWs na gustong suportahan ang pamilya nila dito sa Pilipinas. It’s heartwarming to know that through this service, families stay connected and supported, kahit magkalayo."

Whether it’s sending money, securing loans, or making payments through PalawanPay, Marian believes PGC’s services help ease financial burdens and empower families to focus on what truly matters — their well-being and future.

With the aforementioned new tagline, "Subukan Na at Patunayan! I-Palawan Mo na ‘Yan!" and Marian Rivera-Dantes leading the charge, PGC continues to champion financial empowerment and community support — proving once again why it remains one of the most trusted names in the country.

Voices of Celebrated Women living life with a purpose

Iya Villania and Marian Rivera shares their take on what it’s like being a woman of today

When we were young, our Mom was whom we base our world around. But back then, when we could not really fathom that our Moms are a force for good to be reckoned with.  The things they do on a day-to-day basis make the world go round, and so much would not get done if not for them.

Moms these days wear several hats, taking on many roles; and at times expectation can be high to have it all. Between businesses and parenting, moms have to balance so much, so here are two moms who have some of it figured out: Iya Villania- Arellano and Marian Rivera - Dantes!

Iya Villania - Arellano is an actress, singer, model, and TV presenter (what can’t she do?) Known for her work as a VJ on Myx, this multi-talented multi-hyphenate is a mother of four. She somehow finds time to be a parent on top of everything she does.

Iya gets her strength from her children. She says: these days, their opinions matter more than anything else. he wants her children and her children’s children to experience Mother Earth in all her beauty. That’s why she tirelessly pursue sustainable living so her children can live in a better world.  In her advocacy, she found a reliable and like-minded partner in Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation.  The company has launched in the market the first-ever seasoning product in paper packaging, the AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning 45g which is made from natural and renewable paper material that can be planted, grown, harvested, and replanted

She believes that women’s month is more than just about celebrating women’s beauty and strength, but also their voices. She is using hers to build a better world for her children. She’s not the only one who is giving her all for what she believes in. Another mom to highlight is Marian Rivera-Dantes!

Marian Rivera-Dantes needs little introduction. This celebrity powerhouse wows us again and again with acting, modeling, hosting, and running a business! On top of all that, she’s even a mother of two. Becoming a mom has made Marian hyper-aware of her children’s health, and she knows that other women all over the Philippines are just as concerned about their children.

She is big on education and explaining. She gently and patiently includes her own kids in her cooking. She talks to them about how to incorporate veggies rather than fighting with them about it. According to her, it’s not just about telling them not to eat sweets; it's about incorporating them into the cooking. We should be teaching them what ingredients are for and how flavors interact. She’s been involved with nutrition education advocacy, and she lives it every day.  She and Zia leads the “I Love Veggie-Licious” campaign introducing new era of cooking for kids to enjoy vegetables made delicious with Aji-Ginisa® Flavor Seasoning Mix.

Both these women are a shining example of creating a positive impact with their passion and influence, and Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation has been a long-time partner of these two Moms as  “Eat Well, Live Well” ambassadors.

They are a powerful force with platforms to reach millions, and they use that to do as much good as they can, not just for themselves but for the children who will take over after us.

Marian and Iya both understand what Mom used to make. It’s not just the dishes that make us feel comfortable; it's not just the lessons she taught us. It’s also the change moms make in the world. Moms make change by teaching us how to be good citizens and they start by modeling how to live well, and eat well.

Let’s celebrate women this women’s month, not just the literal moms but all the dog moms and the aunties and all women. Let’s join them in making a change and making the world better, everyone doing their part. Marian and Iya are doing theirs, what can you do?
