The Siren Calls: Sue Ramirez Takes the Spotlight as 2026 Ginebra San Miguel Calendar Girl

Ginebra San Miguel, the world’s largest-selling gin, has officially unveiled actress and performer Sue Ramirez as its 2026 Calendar Girl during a media launch held at the Manila Diamond Hotel recently, introducing her as the brand’s newest “Siren” through six captivating layouts that highlight her confidence, strength, and allure.

The announcement marks a major career milestone for Sue, who previously served as a GSM Blue brand ambassador for six years, making this comeback all the more meaningful.

“When I received the wonderful news, I cried tears of pure joy,” she recalls. “I honestly didn’t

expect to come back or get this chance again. It was something I had prayed for.”

Sue’s selection reflects years of hard work, perseverance, and personal growth, culminating

in what she describes as one of her most empowering roles to date. Taking center stage at

the launch, Sue captivated guests with the debut of six calendar concepts, each crafted to embody the spirit of a contemporary Siren.

“Nobody else embodies the modern Siren quite like Sue Ramirez,” says GSM AVP for Marketing Ron Molina. “She represents a woman who not only turns heads but also inspires others through her confidence, authenticity, and passion. Sue doesn’t just lure attention—she attracts success.”

MANIFESTATION OF STRENGTH AND FAITH

Before the glamour of the calendar shoot, however, Sue faced a personal challenge: two injuries that sidelined her for months.

“When I got the call, I wasn’t physically ready. I had just recovered from an ankle and hand injury. I gained weight because I couldn’t move much for almost four months.”

Instead of letting that setback hold her back, Sue used it as motivation. “It became my wake-up call—to live healthier, to eat better, and to move again.”

For Sue, being a Ginebra San Miguel Calendar Girl is more than just beauty—it’s about self-love and discipline. “It’s not just about looking good on camera,” she says. “It’s about showing how much you value yourself and your well-being.”For decades, Ginebra San Miguel has chosen women who embody confidence, character, and the tapang spirit. “It is someone who inspires and upholds the brand’s character. Sue fits the criteria perfectly—an empowered woman with personality and authenticity, whose story resonates even with ordinary people,” Mr. Molina adds.

Indeed, Sue’s winning mindset radiates through every calendar layout.

DIFFERENT FACETS OF A SIREN

Each calendar layout reveals a different side of Sue—playful, athletic, sultry, and strong—

reflecting the many facets of the modern Filipina and the “never-say-die” spirit of Ginebra

San Miguel.

“We have so many creative concepts!” Sue says excitedly.

In “Sporty Siren,” Sue takes us to the basketball court in a post-game scene that highlights

Ginebra’s team spirit. “Nightlife Siren” captures the party energy of GSM Blue Mojito, while

“Porter’s Siren” features a refreshing portside scene inspired by Freedom Island. She laughs recalling the “Barber’s Siren,” one of her favorites: “That’s the sultry one! Very pasyon de amor vibes—sexy but still classy, like Primera Light.”

Then there’s “Bao-Bao Siren,” where Sue poses beside a three-wheeled trike (bao-bao), a

popular mode of transport in the countryside, where locals unwind with a glass of Vino

Kulafu. And, of course, a Calendar Girl is not complete without the “Beach Siren,” evoking

the soothing scenes of water and waves, paired perfectly with GSM Premium.

All these layouts connect to this year’s launch theme, “Street Siren,” tying together the calendar’s real-life, road-side inspirations—from the basketball court, to the barbershop, all the way to the portside. The program visually showed how the calendar scenes reflect everyday Filipino settings found right along the street, familiar places transformed into striking visuals through Sue’s presence.

FEARLESS AND CONFIDENT

Asked what she brings to the long line of iconic Calendar Girls, Sue answers firmly: “I’ll bring Sue to the table.”

“I’m very fearless. I know who I am. I’m not saying I have no insecurities, but I’m confident

in who I’ve become. People will see that in the calendar layouts. They’ll see my fearlessness.”

Beyond beauty and glamour, Sue hopes the 2026 calendar inspires others to be brave and hopeful. “If I can do it, so can you,” she says. “Don’t give up on yourself. Claim your blessings and work hard for them. One day, you might find yourself answering that call.

Success will come sooner than you think.”

With her magnetic confidence and inspiring story, Sue Ramirez proves that the true mark of

a Siren isn’t just allure—it’s the courage to rise, the courage to inspire, and the courage to

believe that success always finds those who dare to claim it.

Achieve glowing and whiter skin with Kawaii Whitening Soap

Everybody wants to have that K-glass skin or that dewy lit- from- within look. Getting a complexion that looks healthy, glowing, fair and clear requires a lot of dedication. First you should get an 8-hour sleep, exercise 30 minutes a day and eat right and healthy. Plus, of course your beauty routine counts.

Nowadays, it requires a lot of discipline, patience and money (if you are high maintenance girl ) for one to get the right skin care. If youre looking for quality and yet affordable basic skin care product to start of,  you should choose the right soap for your skin type. Knowing what soap goes on your skin is important.

Recently, Global Care Cosmetics Corporation launches Kawaii Whitening Soap via a virtual launch on Facebook, and graced by its new Celebrity Ambassador Sue Ramirez.

Sue Ramirez rendered a Keiko Necesario original While We Are Young.

“Ms. Sue is a perfect fit with Kawaii, not only does she is personally kawaii but also, what she represents as an individual, a celebrity, and a performer, appeals to the potential users of Kawaii Whitening Soap,” according to Mr. Leonardo Aquino, Vice president for Sales.

With the campaign Why Kawaii? the virtually launch with its trade partners, media and consumers aimed at sharing with every Filipina why Kawaii is the best choice for their skin whitening needs. Kawaii Whitening Soap promises to deliver a gentle glow and whiter skin in as early as five days of regular use.

“Our initial challenge during the product’s development was to meticulously choose the active ingredients to ensure the whitening effectiveness of Kawaii Whitening Soap,” says Mr. Leonardo Aquino, vice president for Sales. He added, “We chose the most effective active ingredients, which is the reason why Kawaii has triple whitening action and can deliver faster results. Every Filipina will get better and faster whitening action compared to higher-priced options.”

Kawaii Whitening Soap comes in four variants - papaya, green papaya, kojic, and glutathione. It is well known that the proteolytic enzyme papain in papaya is very effective in correcting skin darkening and discoloration. It even removes under-eye dark circles. Kojic, on the other hand, prevents the formation of an amino acid needed to produce melanin, which is a pigment that affects skin color. And glutathione is a master antioxidant that helps promote skin whitening.

The variety gives everyone the chance to choose the one that works best for their skin type and whitening needs. It is dermatologically tested, Halal certified, and approved by the Food and Drug Administration ensuring that it is safe and effective to use by every Filipina.

Those that watched the live stream were treated to a fashion show showcasing Kawaii models each with Kawaii Whitening Soap on hand, ramping to the music provided by Ms.SueRamirez. The viewers also got to win prizes from Kawaii Whitening Soap.

Review: Ang Babaeng Allergic sa WIFI (No Spoilers to mga vakla !)

The movie stars Sue Ramirez, Jameson Blake, Marcus Paterson, under IdeaFirst Company,  October Train Films and Cignal Entertainment.

Spoiler na ba to? I hope hinde.

Sa umpisa alam mo agad na typical millennial love story to na makakarelate lahat ng millennials and the not so millennial like me. Same with Sue, maayos din naman yung character nya as Norma.

Tsk tsk. Sakit sa dibdib. Ganitong ganito yung naramdaman ko sa Meet You in St Gallen. Hagulgol.

CIGNAL ENTERTAINMENT’S ANG BABAENG ALLERGIC SA WIFI EXAMINES LOVE IN THE TIME OF THE INTERNET

In this digital age, being single is one thing, but living a life without the internet?

That’s almost like living in the the Dark Ages or being in solitary confinement-- minus the jail bars.

As much as we hate to admit it, we eat, breath, and live our lives on the internet and the only time we go offline is when we need to get some sleep.

We even manage most of our relationships online, and for a lot of people, those “likes” and “comments” have become a gauge of their friendships.

But what if you suddenly can’t use any form of technology? Will you be doomed to be alone forever?

CIGNAL ENTERTAINMENT, the new original content division of CIGNAL, in partnership with THE IDEAFIRST COMPANY and OCTOBERTRAIN FILMS, presents a fresh look at love in the digital age with “Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi.”

When a teenage girl develops an allergy to Wi-Fi, she is forced to live in a remote province, pushing her to reevaluate her relationships and the boy she believes is her one true love.

The movie stars Sue Ramirez, Markus Peterson, Jameson Blake and is directed by award winning director Jun Robles Lana.

“What interested me most about the idea, when I came across a 2009 news report about a British man who was allergic to Wi-Fi, is the opportunity to explore the underlying sadness and emptiness of modern relationships,” shares Director Jun Robles Lana.

Nowadays, with the advances of technology, no matter where we go, it’s so easy to get in touch with our loved ones. But a lot of our correspondence has also been reduced to emojis and likes and superficial interactions online. What happens if the technology that’s supposed to connect you to the whole world suddenly isolates you literally and takes away your freedom and the life you once lived and knew?”

Can love endure without an internet connection?

Lana’s interesting new take on love immediately drew netizen’s attention as its first trailer released last year hit one million views on Facebook just eight hours after being uploaded and continues to be one of the most viewed and talked about upcoming local movie trailer. As a matter of fact, after releasing the second trailer on July 12, it trended as number one on Twitter in just 2 hours after the posting.

Ang Babaeng Allergic sa WiFi” is Cignal Entertainment’s first venture into full length feature film production and is one of the eight feature films chosen by the Film Development Council of the Philippines for the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2018 happening in August.
