Teleperformance Philippines has launched the Cloud Campus Jeepney

To showcase its Cloud Campus work-at-home solution, Teleperformance Philippines has launched the Cloud Campus Jeepney, a mobile cloud connected workstation that simulates a fully enabled work-at-home experience.

Introduced at the Sunlife Amphitheatre, the Cloud Campus Jeepney is a functioning mobile workstation connected to the cloud that will allow people to work and stay fully connected even on the road. It showcases the digital capabilities of the TP Cloud Campus solutions, giving visitors a fully connected work-at-home experience. The Jeepney will be parked at the amphitheater until March 6, 2022 and will soon go to various locations around Metro Manila.

Launched in early 2021, the Cloud Campus solution is the revolutionary and innovative new global operating model of Teleperformance, specifically designed to enable a socially enriched work-at-home environment, allowing brands to easily expand their business and deliver superior customer experiences through Teleperformance’s unique, cloud-centric solution.

Home-based interaction experts can work from anywhere and remain connected to their Teleperformance team through the Cloud Campus hubs, which come with innovative features to help employees stay engaged and connected, while maintaining operational efficiency.

Currently, there are two main Teleperformance Cloud Campus hubs located at TP Fairview, Quezon City and at TP Aura, Taguig City and multiple smaller kiosks which serve as the operational command center of virtual teams.

TP Cloud Campus comes at a time of disruption when there are calls for fresh solutions for companies to digitalize their work and operations. Teleperformance Philippines Chief Operations Officer Joey Marquez shared, “TP Cloud Campus enables Teleperformance Philippines to bridge people with their favorite brands around the world 24/7. Designed to harmonize onsite and remote work environments, TP Cloud Campus encompasses virtual talent acquisition, training, learning and development, quality control, data security, as well as workforce performance management.”

The new Teleperformance “Campus Culture” supports the employee’s physical and mental well-being, assisted by bespoke Technology, Analytics, and Process Excellence (T.A.P.TM) solutions that harness human insights, fun, teamwork, friendly competition, and continuous learning. This includes solutions such as training simulations, gamification, operational remote management platforms and collaboration platforms, for optimized Virtual Training Rooms, Digital Whiteboards and Wallboards to generate real-time productivity, performance, workload technology monitoring reports, and chat bot TP Digital Floorwalker, built with machine learning and analytics capabilities enabling more First Call Resolutions and reduced Average Handling Time.

For Teleperformance’s client-partners, the TP Cloud Campus and T.A.P.TM innovation engines equip them with high-tech, high-touch solutions built on a keen understanding of people’s interaction history and sentiments.

“It is energizing to witness and now be at the helm of an organization driving digital business and transformation solutions. Teleperformance Philippines partners with Project Inclusion Network , a non-profit organization that works towards realizing the potential of Persons with Disability

Teleperformance Philippines recently announced its partnership with Project Inclusion Network (PIN), a non-profit organization that works towards realizing the potential of Persons with Disability to actively participate in, and productively contribute to society.

In a recent virtual event with its employees in honor of International Day of Sign Languages, Teleperformance Philippines highlighted its commitment to providing assistance and opportunities for people with disabilities through this new initiative with PIN.

As part of the partnership, Teleperformance will assist PIN in identifying employable people with disabilities from their network of partner institutions, communities, and organizations that teach and train people with impairments. Moving forward, Teleperformance Philippines and PIN will be collaborating towards improving knowledge and comprehension of behavioral concepts and processes in the workplace, through increased productivity and integration.

Teleperformance Philippines has been employing persons with disabilities across their sites. Zeke, one of the staff of Teleperformance Citizen of the World (COTW) Store and a deaf employee, shared his experience working in the company. “Just like me, anyone – regardless of disability – can perform and contribute to the success of [a] company. I am blessed to belong to a team that is fully supportive of me and encourages me to be better.”

Operations Manager of Project Inclusion Network, Jim Nemeno, also thanked Teleperformance Philippines for their support throughout this project. "I thank Teleperformance for this opportunity. We appreciate from the bottom of our hearts the organizational, financial, and leadership support to promote Disability inclusive communities," shared Nemeno.

Apart from employment support, Teleperformance Philippines further cemented their commitment to making more inclusive workplaces through a donation of one hundred and fifty thousand pesos to help move forward PIN’s efforts, with a promise of more to come.

Senior Vice President for Human Capital Resource Management Jeffrey Johnson shared, “We put strong focus on our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. We want to make a concerted effort to provide employment to people who may otherwise have had a hard time finding employment. I am proud of the work that the team has done to truly move things forward.”

Teleperformance Philippines has been certified Great Place to Work® for four consecutive years, just in time for their 25th year anniversary in the country. The certification is awarded by the prestigious institute to companies who have passed the Trust Index® Survey, which is anonymously taken by employees. This year had the highest participation rate among Teleperformance Philippines’ 52,000 workforce across 22 business sites in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Teleperformance Philippines is a champion of diversity and inclusion. They recently held the Disability Visibility Matters initiative, whose goal is to collect critical baseline data that may be used in building relevant and beneficial programs for these people. They also held a Sensitivity Training webinar, which trained their leaders and equipped them with skills to build a more inclusive workplace. TP also participated in a career fair for PWDs, as well as a parade to advocate for autism programs in early 2020.

Teleperformance shares views on creating a gender-neutral workplace

Teleperformance Philippines continues its advocacy of promoting inclusive workplaces through its recent participation in the University of the Philippines College of Mass Communication (UP CMC) Department of Communication Research and International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines’ webinar “Let’s Talk About Gender.”

Marilyn Romero-Ventenilla, Senior Director for Communication and Marketing of Teleperformance Philippines, joined various experts from the communication industry and academe and gave a talk on Genderlect, or different ways of communicating between men and women, as well as on Teleperformance Philippines’ commitment of being a Great Place to Work® for all, and tips on how to create and foster a gender-smart working environment.

Gender-neutral Terminologies

Ventenilla gave examples of terms that people can use to encourage more gender balance and inclusive communication. Humankindworkforcepeoplechairperson, and head are some her recommended alternatives for gender-neutral terms.

“If we meet people who have some allusions to discrimination that have become a standard for them, more and more people are also looking for ways of overcoming such references,” Ventenilla said.

“People need to be conscious of using sexist phrases that may sound offensive to some people. It is crucial to recognize and understand the gender differences in a conversation to prevent the adverse consequences of contrasting conversations,” she added.

Gender Pronouns

Most people might not be familiar with gender-neutral conversations, and adapting to these types of conversations could pose some difficulties for them. Marilyn believes that gender-neutral conversations need to be part of the norm as people live and move every day.

She also emphasized that there should be an awareness of the pronouns or references a person from different genders may prefer. A more gender-neutral environment or society accepts the use of “they” and “them” pronouns. Pronouns portray a person’s identity. Hence, using their preferred pronouns signifies that people respect them and do not want them to feel invalidated and dismissed.

Creating a Culture of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion

Ventenilla also talked about making the workplace as inclusive as possible and how companies can start doing this in small ways. “One example would be the establishment of gender-neutral restrooms or inclusion of health insurance benefits for partners with the same gender. We can also launch learning programs to promote awareness of the value of building an inclusive environment and creating safe spaces for people,” shared Marilyn.

Ventenilla shared that in their 25 years in the country, Teleperformance Philippines has been a true advocate for diversity, equality, and inclusion policies across their workplace, creating a variety of initiatives championing the LGBTQ+ community and women. Their recent Pride Month festivities officially established a TP Pride Council that engage its members in awareness and support community year-round. Teleperformance also has an award-wining HIV/AIDS in the workplace policy that promotes respect, support, and equal opportunities for employees.

Moreover, Teleperformance has a program called TP Women that celebrates the achievements of women in Teleperformance, while also serving as a community and support system for women and allies within the organization. Among its recently held activities include webinars on parenting, financial literacy and management, along with podcasts and videos to highlight the achievements of women in the field of Technology.

Teleperformance has been recognized by relevant organizations such as Philippine Financial & Inter-Industry Pride for their gender-inclusive policies and programs, and have built partnerships with organizations such as Project Red Ribbon and SPARK! Philippines. Teleperformance Philippines has also recently earned re-certification as Great Place to Work® for the fourth year in a row, the first and only company in the country to have accomplished this feat.

Teleperformance fosters vibrant people culture through global talent competition

Even during the pandemic, the passion and creativity of Filipinos shone through as Teleperformance Philippines, the leading global group in digitally integrated business services, gave their employees a chance to display their talents in a competition.

To showcase its diverse employees and to spread positivity during the crisis, Teleperformance organized the COVID-19 Fight Challenge, a global talent competition held virtually for its employees.

In the local competition, the more than 47,500 employees of Teleperformance Philippines were encouraged to use their talents to express their feelings about their COVID-19 experiences and about what the future holds for all. Employees were able to submit in any of the four categories, namely, Music, Writing, Art, and Dance. Based on their originality, talent, and presentation, the judges shortlisted three finalists per category and announced the local champions via a Facebook Watch Party hosted by TV and radio personality Gino Quillamor.

The winner for the music category was James San Juan from TP Ayala, who wrote an original song called “Rise”, which is about mental health and is dedicated to those feeling alone during the pandemic. For the writing category, Santos Baudin III from TP Ayala won for his original poem entitled “Agwat (Gap)” which is all about finding love and hope amid the social distancing and reminds everyone to stay connected even apart.

Meanwhile, Carlos Ramiro from TP Fairview came out on top for the art category for his piece called “Invisibilia Inimicus (Invisible Enemy)” which portrays the heroism, sacrifice, and hope of the front liners. Lastly, Jobert Cabag from TP Davao won for his inspirational dance accompanied by a scenic music video that he says is a reminder for everyone to always observe social distancing.

James San Juan from TP Ayala, the champion in the music category, shared his experience during the watch party. “Given our situation, in our 24 hours at home, having engagements like this lifts you up somehow and inspires you to inspire others,” shared James.

The local champions received Php 15,000 in cash and had the opportunity to represent Teleperformance Philippines in the global finals, which showcased the talents of Teleperformance employees from over 80 countries.

About 17,000 TP employees tuned in to the live streamed announcement on the Teleperformance Philippines Facebook page to support their friends and colleagues, while five lucky viewers of the watch party were also treated to their own a pizza party via an electronic raffle during the program.

Mike Lytle, Teleperformance Philippines Chief Operations Officer, shared a heartfelt message to all TP employees during the announcement. “At TP, we’ve always made a special effort to provide our people with a platform for their creative self-expression. Even with COVID-19, our ability to reflect on the times connects all of us even more. I applaud everyone for believing in themselves and supporting their colleagues. You are all heroes in my book.”

The culmination of the COVID-19 Fight Challenge was celebrated with the rest of the global Teleperformance community last July 30, 2020, at the virtual TP Quarantine Awards with around 10,000 registered viewers from across the globe. TP Philippines’ Baudin bagged third place for the writing category and won a pair of Beats Headphones.

The TP Quarantine Awards show was streamed live in Telepeformance’s 21 business sites for those employees who were onsite at the time of airing. The Watch Parties, coordinated by the HR team and the Site Fun Committees, followed physical distancing rules while allowing employees to cheer for their colleagues.

Earlier in 2020, Teleperformance Philippines received its third Great Place to Work® certification for the third year in a row, which was based on an anonymous survey of over 34,000 Teleperformance Philippines employees nationwide. The survey assessed employee trust based on employee ratings of the company’s credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
