Griff, Arthur Miguel, Stell, and Dilaw Take Center Stage at Warner Music Philippines' ‘We Play Here’ 2024

Warner Music Philippines’ We Play Here is back, this time with a new set of amazing artists and exciting activities that fans and music enthusiasts can’t miss!

 

A Curated Music Celebration 

We Play Here is a series of unique music experiences designed to bring local and international Warner Music Group artists front and center. The We Play Here ecosystem features live performances, fan engagements, and exciting partnerships – ultimately bringing together Filipinos through music.

Coming from the success of last year's event, this year's We Play Here is bigger and better than ever. To bring their artists’ exciting performances to a wider audience, an expanded series of events will be hosted in different schools running from this year into next.

 

Local and International Headliners 

Dilaw makes a comeback at the We Play Here stage, much to the delight of their fans. The Filipino band is well known for their single “Uhaw (Tayong Lahat),” which went viral in 2023. They have over three million monthly listeners on Spotify, and have recently released a new track titled “Nilalang.”

 

Stell, the main vocalist of SB19, will also be giving a dance-inducing performance. After making his solo debut, Stell released an EP called “Room,” which features songs that fans can expect to hear during We Play Here. Another headliner not to miss is pop artist Arthur Miguel, who continues to shine in the local music industry with hits like “Lihim” and “Ang Wakas.”

 

Marking her first performance in the Philippines, this year’s We Play Here international headliner is British singer-songwriter Griff. Fans will be treated to electrifying songs from her debut album “vertigo,” which was released earlier this year. Despite the upbeat nature of Griff’s songs, a deeper examination reveals themes of introspection. One good example of this is “Tears For Fun,” which shows the complexity of knowing something isn’t good for you, but not being able to resist. On the other hand, “Anything” talks about a relationship where you would do anything for your significant other. Overall, the album offers a relatable look at relationships and love. 

 

Griff has hit many milestones throughout her career, from opening for Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour in 2023 for a few European dates including Portugal, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands, to opening for Taylor Swift’s Era’s Tour in London and being a supporting act for Sabrina Carpenter’s US tour later this year.


Performing alongside these headliners are up and coming artists Kahel, Letters from June, Sugarcane, Paul Pablo, and PLAYERTWO. 

 

Fans will get to experience special interactive booths at the event, such as Arthur Miguel's "What if?" and "AM Hugots" wall, Dilaw's "Nilalang" Portraits, and Sugarcane's "Pagbigyan" Tarot Readings. 

 

Other installments include Charli xcx's BRAT photobooth, Griff's Gachapon Machine, and the  "Sikat Sa Pinas" Music & Lyrics booth. The famous WishBus will also be parked in front of the venue, with its final schedule to be announced by Wish FM 107.5.

 

Presented by Warner Music Philippines in partnership with KDR Music House and UP Adcore, We Play Here will kick off on August 23, at the University of the Philippines College of Science Amphitheater. Early Bird tickets are sold out, but fans can still buy regular tickets (P750 each) here.

 Three Filipino talents – Dessa, Troy Laureta, and DK Tijam – will share the stage for the first time in a one-night concert titled “By Request: Your Playlist Live Onstage,” on August 16 at 8 PM at the Music Museum.

The concert, presented by DK Talents and Orange Magazine in cooperation with Backstage Entertainment, promises a memorable evening of classic OPM songs, medleys of beautiful love songs, and special duets. Fans can expect an intimate and soulful performance that highlights the unique voices and versatility of each artist.

BingoPlus Foundation Strengthens Commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goals


 Building  a healthier, more resilient future together! The BingoPlus Foundation is doubling down its commitment to promoting health, resilience, and sustainable livelihoods across communities.

The BingoPlus Foundation the social development arm of DigiPlusInteractive Corporation (DigiPlus), is reinforcing its commitment to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of addressing hunger (SDG 2) and promoting sanitation(SDG 6) in the country.

BingoPlus Foundation and volunteers provided emergency relief to 1,000 households affected by the volcanic eruption of Mt. Kanlaon.


The Foundation distributed 1,000 groceries of food essentials and sanitation supplies to evacuees in the wake of the Mt. Kanlaon volcanic eruption in Negros Occidental, done in partnership with the Municipality of La Castellana, represented by Mayor Alme Rhummyla Nicor-Mangilimutan; and the Nikki Cares Foundation Inc., represented by founder Dominique Lopez-Benitez.

 


In Bacolod City, the Foundation further supported the government’s LAB For All medical mission as part of its advocacy to provide accessible healthcare to Filipinos.

 

In support of the “LAB For All medical program spearheaded by First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos in Bacolod CityBingoPlus Foundation also provided volunteers and logistics support to mobilize the said medical mission, benefitting nearly 8,000 patients in the city. 

 

BingoPlus Foundation further broadened its impact in General Santos, providing flu vaccination to 500 residents in Purok Mapailubon and initiating the construction of sanitation facilities in barangays. The Foundation further launched a dressmaking training center with Barangay San Isidro, TESDA and DOLE, as part of its KabuhayanPLUS livelihood program. 

Apart from efforts to promote the health and sanitation in General Santos, BingoPlus Foundation launched a dressmaking training center to enable sustainable livelihood.

 

These initiative forms part of the Foundation’s Barangay Bigayan program, which aims to address the most urgent and pressing needs of urban communities in terms of resilience, health and capacity-building education and infrastructureThis seeks to enrich the spirit of giving and togetherness that Filipinos are known for.

While healthcare is directly addressed through medical missions and improved sanitation facilities, our resilience efforts go beyond post-disaster presence. Art book global pre-release

An art book for The KAWS + Warhol exhibition will be available exclusively at UNIQLO stores nationwide and the UNIQLO online store in advance of the publisher’s general release. This new book showcases the art of KAWS and Andy Warhol side-by-side, drawing comparisons and new meanings between two of the most popular artists of the modern era in a way that has never been done before. The substantial content includes an interview with KAWS, essays by art historians and curators, and installation views from the exhibition*. Customers who purchase the book from UNIQLO will also receive a limited edition shoulder bag as a gift.
