Cebu Pacific urges guests to use Travel Fund before expiry

The Philippines’ leading airline, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), encourages guests with existing travel funds to use them before they expire, to book flights for travel up to one year ahead.  

 

Passengers with Travel Fund may conveniently book flights before its expiry date, by choosing a flight schedule up to one year later. A Travel Fund is the value of CEB bookings stored in a virtual wallet that can be used to pay for any transaction on the CEB website – be it for flights or add-ons, like baggage allowance, travel insurance, preferred seats, meals, and many more.  

CEB has an ongoing Juan Love “Sama-summer together” seat sale that offers domestic flights for as low as PHP88 one-way base fare. This sale runs until February 28, 2022, for travel from now until July 31, 2022. Travel Fund is accepted as a form of payment. 

 

Guests planning trips this year – whether solo, or with friends and family – can book flights across the airline’s widest domestic network, which includes destinations such as Bohol, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, and Iloilo, among others.  

 

“Now is the perfect time to book those flights as we continue seeing more destinations ease restrictions – be it for immediate travel to take advantage of flying easy now; or for future trips everyJuan can look forward to as the fund can be used to book flights up to a year out,” said Candice Iyog, Vice President for Marketing & Customer Experience at Cebu Pacific. 

 

Here are the steps on how to use the Travel Fund: 

 

1.     Remember to keep your Travel Fund booking reference on hand.  

2.     Choose your new flight and book as usual. The owner of the Travel Fund must be included in your booking.  

3.     On the payment page, select “Travel Fund” and input the booking reference of the fund you want to use. 

 

CEB continues to offer flexible products that enable its guests to fly easy and safely, such as the CEB Flexi, a flight add-on that allows passengers to voluntarily cancel their flights for free, up to two (2) hours before departure, and store the value of the booking in a Travel Fund. This may be purchased via initial booking for as low as PHP 499.

Today, Huawei announced the Super Device concept for Smart Office on Mobile World Congress 2022, a new solution that greatly enhances cross-device connectivity and collaboration amongst supported Huawei devices. The software-driven feature arrives in line with Huawei’s push towards a Seamless AI Life, which the company envisions across five major scenarios – Health and Fitness, Easy Travel, Smart Office, Entertainment, Smart Home.

 

As one of the key scenarios of Huawei’s Seamless AI Life, Huawei brings the vision of Boundless Creation and Seamless Communication to the Smart Office, aiming to enable a digitally efficient work life experience by synergizing the two core Huawei capabilities: Cross-Device Collaboration and Ecosystem Integration. Cross-device collaboration enables users to connect multiple devices together into a singular experience, while ecosystem integration closes the gap between Windows and mobile platforms, stimulating creativity and improving communication efficiency.

HUAWEI Smart Office: Super Device, Super Creativity

Super Device: Come Together as One

Now, the Super Device^[2] is available on Huawei PCs via the Super Device’s easy drag-to-connect interface in the PC’s Control Centre, enabling speedy access to your phone images and files, as well as quick and convenient smart screen connectivity for presentations. This allows a focused and efficient workflow for the user who is now able to process tasks with ease across devices. 

 

With the Pop-Up Pairing feature^[3], the Huawei PC can also swiftly and conveniently connect to Huawei’s wireless earbuds, speakers, Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, as well as printer, holistically improving the smart office experience.

 

Collaborating with Huawei smartphone: Super Multi-tasking 

Once connected, the smartphone will be available as an external drive in the PC. This allows users to access smartphone files like they would with any other external storage device, using the PC file system UI they are familiar with.

 

As a Super Device, the smartphone’s interface will also be displayed on the PC’s screen, and with Multi-Screen Collaboration, up to three mobile apps can be opened directly on the PC for multi-tasking. Users can also easily access material saved on their phone via their PC through drag and drop. Edit smartphone files with the HUAWEI MateBook, where all changes are automatically saved to the phone, and ready to be shared.

 

Collaborating with Huawei MatePad: Super Co-creation 

Like the smartphone, upon connection, the tablet becomes recognised as an external drive in the PC, allowing free transfer and management of files between devices via drag-and-drop, or copy-and-paste. 

 

The PC + Tablet Super Device supports three connection modes, each catering to distinct use cases. 

In Mirror Mode, the PC’s screen is replicated onto the tablet’s display. Any content written or drawn with the M-Pencil on the HUAWEI MatePad is reflected in real-time on the PC – a powerful feature that helps users make the most out of professional design software. In Extend Mode, the PC’s display is extended to the tablet, with each display showing different content. This mode transforms the tablet into an external monitor for the PC, improving productivity with more screen estate. In Collaborate Mode, the tablet’s files can be directly managed from the PC. 

 

Collaborating with Huawei MateView: Super Productivity

Users have the flexibility of connecting a Huawei PC to a HUAWEI MateView monitor, to enjoy a larger display. The HUAWEI MateView supporting 4K+ resolution and P3 cinema-level colour gamut, allowing users to view their creative work with industry-grade detail and accuracy. 

 

Collaborating with HUAWEI Vision: Super Presentation

The Super Device allows users to enjoy Mirror Mode and Extend Mode projections. As with the monitor, this Super Device pairing allows users to go beyond their laptop’s screen size when they require the larger screen estate, whether for higher productivity, or an enjoyable time watching their favourite entertainment on a luxurious screen. With Extend Mode, users can take meeting notes on the HUAWEI MateBook, while hosting a conference call via the extended screen on the HUAWEI Vision.

 

It’s only just begun

 

Based on the distributed operating system capabilities of EMUI 12 and HarmonyOS, Huawei's products that have been launched in the Philippine market, such as HUAWEI P50 Pro, HUAWEI MateBook 14s, HUAWEI MatePad Pro and MatePad 11, HUAWEI Vision, and HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 already have the basic Super Device capabilities. 

 

Support for Super Device functionality will extend to previous models of Huawei PCs, as long as users upgrade the Huawei PC Manager to its latest version^[4].The MateBook series that have been launched in the Philippine market will receive the Super Device function through a system upgrade in March this year.

 

With these continuous system upgrades in the future, these can continually improve user experiences, whether at work or play.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) presents the “Sounds More Fun in the Philippines” Playlist, a compilation of specially selected Filipino music that will welcome listeners back to the Philippine destinations they love, and let them relive those epic travel memories.

The initial playlists will be available on digital music streaming app Spotify. The first 10 playlists to be launched are Manila Night Lights, Boracay Beach Bar, Onshore in La Union, Cordillera Calm, The Pan-Philippine Highway Road Trip, Marilaque Bike Trail Mix, Balikbayan Juke Box, Counting Clouds in Camiguin, Wedding Vows in Tagaytay and Deep Dive in Palawan.

The chosen songs aim to set the soundtrack of one’s stories—like the Cordillera Clam playlist that provides laidback OPM tunes to warm the bones like a strong cup of Cordillera coffee; or the Boracay Beach Bar playlist that surrounds one with beach vibes perfect for grooving; or the Manila Night Lights that brings listeners back to the eras of disco, dance rock, and neo soul, reliving those dazzling nights when the city truly comes alive.

“These tunes will allow listeners to evoke the getaways, secret spots, and homes away from home that every traveler can find somewhere across the 7,641 islands of the Philippines.”, said Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat. 

 

The playlists are attuned for every kind of listener—the listed songs can be played loud to get one going before that early morning bike trail, or to keep them company on an epic road trip; or these can be played softly in the background as one savors the bliss that follows a good surf, or daydreams while lounging and gazing at the sea on a white sand beach. 

 

Through this, the DOT intends to provide the feeling that, wherever you are, the fun is never far away.  

 

To create the playlists, the DOT enlisted the help of Filipino music obsessives. These include legendary rock DJ and Sandwich bassist Myrene Academia, podcast personality Ryan Joseph, music pundit Jocelyn Blwg, Matt San Pedro of Manila Community Radio and Transit Records, musicologist Patricia Brillante-Silvestre, and music producer Abdel Aziz. 

The songs and artists featured in these playlists are Pinoys as well as international artists and bands with Filipino roots.
