KidZania, Manila's first education oriented theme park

KidZania RightZkeepers Bache, Urbano, Beebop, Vita and Chika

It excites me to no end when I learned that a play city KidZania will be coming our way this 2015 in Manila. Our children would surely want to experience how to role play as an adult, from doctors, nurses to firefighters to dentists. They will also learn the art of using and saving money. This would prepare them for their future, for a better world.

KidZania Manila introduced and paid tribute to its Industry Partners during a presentation held at the Hotel Intercontinental Manila last January 29 at Hotel Intercontinental Manila. The tribute was hosted by Ms. Maricel Laxa Pangilinan.  Over 100 officials representing the different Industry Partners, along with members of the media and other guests, were in attendance, as they celebrated the wonderful play experience in store for Filipino kids.

With more than 100 role playing activities, KidZania Manila empowers children to explore, discover, and choose whatever roles they want. Here, children get to experience how a community works, earn and manage their money, as well as cooperate and work with others. Each experience is completely hands-on and helps develop teamwork, independence, self-esteem, and valuable life skills – equipping kids to create a better world in the future.

Immersive, interactive role play rooted in real-life activities and establishments is at the core of the KidZania experience. And that is where Industry Partners support the experience:  with their expertise in their respective industries, Industry Partners help bring realism to the kid-sized city, providing children with truly engaging activities and skills that they can use in real life.

“We want kids to imagine, to play and have fun, enjoying the amazing role play experiences at KidZania Manila. They will learn, as they play, about the varied, interesting roles and establishments that collaborate and serve to create a good community.  Our Industry Partners contribute significantly to make the KidZania Manila experience as authentic and meaningful as possible for the children who will visit our play city,” said Maricel Pangilinan-Arenas, State Governor for KidZania Philippines. “With their years of knowledge and expertise, they help enrich the educational entertainment value of the KidZania concept.”

As KidZania Industry Partners, companies will have a real opportunity to become indispensable parts of the story as KidZania Manila incorporates each real-world brand into various establishments. As a result, the experience sparks the imagination, ignites their minds, nurtures creativity and inspires real-world exploration.

“What makes the KidZania experience unique is immersive, authentic role play, so it is important to incorporate realistic places and recognizable brands that make up a city,” said Cecille L. Mariño, KidZania Manila Industry Partners Director.

KidZania Manila is opening this 2015 at the Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Visit manila.kidzania.com for more information and updates.

Master Game Face winners' once-in-a-lifetime experience watching Gilas in Spain

Hailed as the most valuable fans in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, millions of Filipinos from around the globe stormed social networking sites to show their support for Gilas Pilipinas. They also came in throngs to Seville in Spain to watch the national squad live as they competed in the world’s biggest basketball event.

Master, the #1 Men’s Face Care brand that gives an oil and pimple free look to all Filipino men with its Facial Wash and Face Cleanser ranges recently concluded the Master Goes to Spain Promo.  It was a special, one of a kind promotion where 5 lucky Master Face Care users won a trip of a lifetime - an all expense paid trip in Spain to watch the Gilas Pilipinas team compete in the FIBA World Cup last September 2014.

Among those who personally cheered and closely followed the FIBA  journey of Gilas Pilipinas were Master Game Face Goes to Spain promo winners Jose Clipper Besin, Michael Cleofe, Jeiel Guarino, Jerome Christopher Hernandez and Andrew Paul Peñaranda who all won an 8-day all-expense paid trip to Spain and a once-in-a-lifetime chance to watch the national men’s basketball team as they put their game faces on against Croatia, Greece, Argentina, Puerto Rico and Senegal.

Guarino, a communications officer, recalled how exciting the atmosphere was at the games especially with die-hard Pinoy basketball fans swarming the Palacio Municipal de Deportes de Sevilla. “Every Gilas basket, rebound, dunk, defensive stop, hustle and even opponents’ errors and mistakes were being cheered on regardless of the situation—whether we’re down big, tied or up by a point. It was an amazing experience.”

For Besin, a civil engineer, one of the most memorable experiences of the trip was personally watching how passionate Gilas Pilipinas was in winning their Senegal game. “In the last few minutes of overtime, with the game on the line and without Blatche inside, our team showed their real “puso”, not giving up even in the face of great odds.”

The Master Game Face Goes to Spain promo winners also had an exclusive meet-and-greet session with the country’s FIBA heroes. “It was a great experience meeting Gilas Pilipinas players, most especially Marc Pingris. He is a very nice person, cool and very accommodating. You will never see him tired from the game,” said Cleofe, an office employee.

“Many of the Gilas players were gracious enough to mingle with fans and had their photos taken. Despite a twisted ankle, Marc Pingris gamely posed for pictures with fans and even shared a few light moments with everyone,” Guarino added.

The five lucky Filipinos were all grateful to Master, the biggest male face care brand in the Philippines, for sponsoring their trip to Spain, which included a one-day tour of Madrid. “Thank you to Master Facial Wash for giving us this once-in-a-lifetime chance to watch our Gilas Pilipinas team play at the FIBA World Cup. I am definitely looking forward to more exciting activities from Master,” said Cleofe.
