Cebu Pacific partners with AXA Philippines with the launch of Piso Protect

The Philippines’ leading airline, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), recently announced its continued partnership with one of the country’s leading insurance providers, AXA Philippines, with the launch of Piso Protect, an affordable personal accident microinsurance for everyJuan.

Piso Protect Personal Accident microinsurance ensures everyJuan’s financial security, in case of accidents, that may result to injuries, disabilities, or death. With this product, the insured can get accidental death or permanent disablement coverage of up to P250,000, daily hospitalization coverage of P1,000 per day for a maximum of P5,000, and a surgical cash benefit of P5,000.

Flight purchase is not required to avail of Piso Protect. For as low as P1/day or P365/year, this easy on the pocket accident insurance can help cover the cost of hospitalization due to accidents.

The new offering comes at a critical time when the world is gradually transitioning to normalcy.  More people need accident insurance coverage, as accidents happen to nearly everyone anytime, anywhere. Hospitalization can be costly, that is why it is better to be prepared for these unforeseen instances.

“It has been our commitment to keep passengers’ safety and peace of mind our priority, and we are delighted to offer something relevant, valuable, and affordable, addressing needs that cover beyond travel,” said Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for Marketing and Customer Experience.

“We are happy to continue our partnership with CEB to offer affordable, high-value personal accident insurance that can help provide extra financial protection for all," said Nandy Villar, AXA Philippines Chief Customer Officer.

Choosing Piso Protect is readily available on the CEB website here https://bit.ly/CEBPisoProtect – once selected, customers will be redirected to AXA's website to complete purchase.

Piso Protect is just one of several products under this suite of lifestyle insurance packages offered by the CEB and AXA Philippines partnership. Back in September 2020, CEB and AXA Philippines were the first to offer non-travel insurance products in the Philippine aviation industry, with CEB Health Protect, insurance that provides coverage for top three critical conditions, namely cancer, stroke, and heart attack.

Cebu Pacific offers the cheapest RT-PCR test at only P2,500 versus other local carriers

The Philippines' leading airline, Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), ramps up its Test Before Boarding (TBB) process as it now offers the cheapest RT-PCR test at only P2,500 versus other local carriers, exclusively for its passengers.

CEB offers the RT-PCR test through its two accredited partners –Health Metrics, Inc. (HMI) and Safeguard DNA Diagnostics Inc. (SDDI). This special rate is solely for passengers booked on Cebu Pacific and Cebgo.

As a number of local and international destinations still require negative RT-PCR test results prior to entry, CEB has ensured this requirement is made more accessible and affordable through these reduced rates.  Results are guaranteed to be released within 48 hours, while a guaranteed 24-hour turnaround period is priced at PHP 3,200 for both laboratories.

HMI has clinics in Pasay and Makati; while SDDI has facilities in Mandaluyong, Bacolod, and Davao.

“We continue to do what we can to rebuild the public’s trust and confidence in air travel. As we remain committed to providing affordable flights for everyJuan, we also made it a point to see where else we can reduce costs for our passengers – we are happy to work with our laboratory partners to make available the cheapest RT-PCR swab test rates that may conveniently be booked on our website,” said Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for Marketing and Customer Experience.

The Philippine Airport Diagnostic Laboratory (PADL) also offers both RT-PCR and antigen tests exclusively for CEB passengers, for only PHP 3,300 and PHP 700, respectively. The TBB testing facility at the NAIA Terminal 3 is also open for walk-ins daily, with fees to be directly paid to PADL.

Passengers booked on Cebu Pacific and Cebgo can easily choose and book appointments via http://bit.ly/CEBTestOptions. From there, everyJuan will be redirected to each laboratory's page to finalize their schedule online.

Testing is just one out of the three key steps CEB strictly implements to regain passenger confidence. Other approaches include safety and sanitation, as well as track and trace. CEB continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety and has been rated 7/7 stars by airlineratings.com for its COVID-19 compliance. Passengers are also constantly reminded to register in the Department of Transportation's Traze App for a more efficient contact tracing process.

Guests are strongly urged to always check with the LGU of their destination for latest updates.  For a list of travel requirements, testing options, flexibility options and frequently asked questions, passengers may conveniently visit www.cebupacificair.com.

With the removal of change fees, passengers may now rebook their flights as many times as they need at no cost

When the pandemic hit the country, traveling took a back seat. To those who have a scheduled flight last year, rebooking becomes a burden to those affected with their travels with the added safety protocols.   That's why Cebu Pacific announces that they would remove change fees.

The Philippines’ leading carrier Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) permanently removes change fees, allowing passengers to rebook as many times as they need. The carrier believes that flexibility is critical in restoring passenger confidence in air travel.

“In a recent survey we conducted, flexibility remains to be one of the considerations of our passengers when deciding to travel again. Because of this, we are removing our change fee effective immediately. As we work on rebuilding our network and supporting domestic tourism, we will continue to listen to our passengers so we can make it even more convenient for everyjuan to fly again,” said Candice Iyog, CEB Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience.

With the removal of change fees, passengers may now rebook their flights as many times as they need at no cost. A minimal fare difference may still apply.

The IATF has recently released a new set of simplified requirements for domestic travel which states that travel authorities and health certificates will no longer be needed. Quarantine protocols will also be only required for those showing symptoms.

“This is a timely announcement as well, as we support the recent IATF announcement on the standardized travel requirements, and as we celebrate our 25th founding anniversary this month,” added Iyog.

Passengers may conveniently manage their bookings online through the “Manage Booking” portal on the Cebu Pacific website: http://bit.ly/CEBmanageflight. Simply log in using your Getgo account, if applicable, or enter your booking reference to access your booking online. Bookings can be modified up to two (2) hours before the flight.

Passengers may also easily update their contact information and addresses, as well as correct misspelled names, nationality, birthdays, and salutation through the same portal. Those who booked their CEB flights via travel agencies must coordinate requests through their respective agents.

Apart from this new policy, CEB also has an ongoing PHP 25 month-long seat sale on top of other exciting deals in celebration for its 25th anniversary. Visit www.cebupacificair.com and follow Cebu Pacific Air on its official social media accounts for more information.
