UNIQLO x Ines dela Fressange Spring Summer 2021

Ines de la Fressange personifies Parisian chic and inspires women around the world. This latest collaboration line features wardrobe essentials embodying her belief in designing clothes that all women can wear with comfort to reveal their beauty.

Returning to her origins

The Spring/Summer 2021 collection takes you to Deauville, a refined seaside resort in northwestern France to which Parisians flock in summer. The late Coco Chanel chose this locale for her first fashion boutique in 1913. The town was a fashion center in the early 20th century, with ladies and gentlemen frequently parading their finery along the promenade and throughout the town. Deauville is a place of special remembrances for Ines. She holidayed there when very young with her grandmother, encountering high fashion for the first time. The immemorable sight of elegant women in long dresses instilled in her the meaning of sophistication and has informed her Spring/Summer 2021 collection.

Inspired by refined 1920s styling

Offerings this season take us back to the 1920s, when Deauville was flourishing. An elongated silhouette replaces oversizing in this collection, which features long, straight-lined skirts and dresses. The color palette is soft and composed, its grayish pastels reminiscent of Deauville’s sea and sky. The collection incorporates a rich variety of the shirts that are essential to Parisian wardrobes, enhancing enjoyment for all occasions. The range extends from casual 100% linen items to soutien collar twill shirts in translucent and silk shirts with fine details

UNIQLO x Ines de la Fressange Fall Winter 2020

A Homage to Feminine Freedom from the Epitome of French Chic

UNIQLO has collaborated with global fashion icon Ines de la Fressange to create essential wear based on the LifeWear concept of simple, high-quality clothing that makes life better. With her belief in designing comfortable apparel that reveals women’s beauty, the latest collection is inspired by individuals who symbolized female freedom and independence in the 1970s. Jane Birkin, Ali MacGraw, and Diane Keaton became fashion leaders and symbols of women’s liberation during that decade.

The Fall/Winter 2020 collection salutes their enduring inspiration for women today.

Newly Offering Elegant Silk Dresses and 3D Knits

The range includes 100% silk blouses and wrap dresses as wardrobe essentials for sophisticated women. It also captures 1970s Bohemian culture through its twist pleated skirts and dresses in prints from paisley to polka dot patterns. As befitting the season, the collection also features a range of knitwear. For the first time, the collection includes items made with seamless 3D Knit technology that offer outstanding comfort and vivid patterns.

UNIQLO presents LifeWear Spring/Summer 2017 PH Collection

When you say comfort, style and fashion.  The first thing that every normcore fashionista, comes to mind is LifeWear from UNIQLO. Since I cant dress up like a teen anymore,  given my age.  I have been buying my tshirt dress, pants, flare pants, ankle pants, shorts, skorts, skirts, underwear, and bomber jackets only from Uniqlo. I would say it fits me like a T. It has become my uniform for every occasion that I have attended.  I love that in every piece that I get from them speaks of quality, not to mention they are affordable too. You can mix and match each pieces without compromising style.

When I started wearing UNIQLO, it was there that I discovered Ines dela Fressange's timeless and classic pieces. I love her take on polka dot tunics and button down shirts. When I have to splurge a bit, I bought skirts, polka dot tunics from her line. The one that I am excited about is her take on her cotton rib blouson/bomber jacket.  It is classic yet fashionable.  I love it so much. I cant wait to have a hand on it.

INES DE LA FRESSANGE
The seventh collaboration with French fashion icon Ines de La Fressange, takes its inspiration from French port city of Marseilles. The new lineup showcases a remixing of styles that is quintessentially Ines, combining gradations of her signature indigo with on-trend berry accents for styling that is at once nostalgic of sunshine and sea breezes.

UNIQLO Launches Ines dela Fressange Fall Winter 2014 Collection

To those who did not know, tall, beautiful and skinny Ines de la Fressange started out as a model and muse in the 80s for Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel and also was named International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1998. She is an aristocrat and a daughter of the Marquis de La Fressange , a total embodiment of french chic, with a style all her own, timeless and elegant.

Ines del Fressange in the 80s

Inspired by the success of the first collaboration for Spring Summer 2014. Uniqlo unveils its second collaboration with French fashion icon Ines de la Fressange as part of its Fall Winter 2014 collection. The Ines dela Fressange Fall winter 2014 collection was presented to the bloggers on September 26, 2014 at the UNIQLO store SM Mega Fashion Hall.  An OOTD contest for the fashion bloggers was held and the winner took home a trench coat, just by uploading a selfie at Instagram or Twitter styling their favorite Ines dela Fressange collection. What I like about IDLF collaboration is that, there is a hinge of the 80s in it. The floral tweed coat was a fixture in the 80s scene with its playful details. This collection is an iteration of UNIQLO’s LifeWear.

Commenting on the second collaboration line, Ines de la Fressange said, “I wanted to retain the spirit we created in the Spring Summer collection. I love things that are unadorned, genuine, and comfortable to wear. For the Fall Winter items, I wanted to create lovely things that have the same elegance. One of the traditional European fabrics I wanted to include was tweed. With coats and jackets, the fabric and cut are important, and it was a real treat for me to be able to incorporate playful details and enjoy styling the clothing freely.

I try to take the position of women today, and come up with ideas that take account of such factors as closet space and budgets. No one can live surrounded by unlimited clothing. Having many items is not necessarily a good thing, and it’s important to have ‘good clothes’, The point I wanted to express with the new collection is that even without a detailed fashion knowledge, women can find something beautiful to wear. They can have a full wardrobe. The Fall Winter collection is even better than I expected, and I’m extremely pleased with the elegant line.

Design Director Naoki Takizawa said, “Like the streets of Paris, where novelty and beauty can be found in the constant blending of diverse elements throughout the city’s long history, this is a collection of essential apparel that quietly radiates through the styling. It is clothing that is simple, but with playfulness that prompts a smile. It is clothing that brings you back to your natural self just by wearing it. Talking with Ines, I begin to see clothing that anticipates the next era. It then starts to overlap with UNIQLO’s LifeWear concept.

The collaboration line is an iteration of UNIQLO’s LifeWear, aimed at enriching lives through quality clothing. Rather than following trends, it focuses on what Ines herself wears, to look and feel great. Each detail, from the height of the waist and opening of the neckline to overall fit, has been carefully refined through a long fitting process with Ines herself, to create a perfectly balance collection.

Featuring smartly cut shirts, classic trench and tweed coats, casual cashmeres, chic trousers and Ines’ favorites, like the elegant tuxedo jacket and simple silk dresses, each piece translates easily from day to night.  And each is a great addition to any woman’s, but most especially a working woman’s wardrobe.  The collection’s understated elegance is predicted to resonate across women of all ages and cultures.  A true testament to UNIQLO’s global fashionability.

The IDLF collection will be available at UNIQLO SM Megamall, SM Aura and Glorietta 5.
