Hi-Precision Diagnostics (HPD) hosted the grand raffle draw for its silver anniversary promo


Leading diagnostic clinic, Hi-Precision Diagnostics (HPD) hosted the grand raffle draw for its silver anniversary promo, where the winner of the first ever blood-test lotto in the world was picked.

 

“With Blotto, we wanted to create something different for Hi-Precision and our loyal patrons who have supported us the past 25 years. We envisioned something creative, unexpected, and out-of-the-box, especially coming from a healthcare company. But while the initiative is grounded on ‘fun,’ it’s also meaningful in the sense that it helps our patients know their health status.” says Hi-Precisions vice president of sales and marketing, Melissa Ongsue- Lee. 

 

The campaign “Blotto” or Blood Lotto started accepting entries last November 8 until the end of January this year. During those three months, Hi-Precision received a total of 175,355 entries. Their CBC and platelet count blood test result was their ticket to winning in the grand draw. 

 

The holder of the numbers 62669 was declared the winner of Php 250,000 in a livestream on Hi-Precision’s Facebook page.

Five other participants whose blood-test results match four out of five winning numbers also won Php 25,000 each as consolation prize.

Gloc-9 Teams Up with Yeng Constantino for "Paliwanag"

 


We all aspire to live the ideal life where we can be safe, be content, and be at peace. But while having these all may be wishful thinking; we can always look forward to better days by the choices we make. Our fate, after all, has always been in our hands. Nevertheless, here’s a sheer reminder that our choices really matter.

Gloc-9’s latest single “Paliwanag” featuring Yeng Constantino is a refreshing rap track filled with cryptic poetry, non-specific, yet filled with truths regarding life's many pitfalls, yet hopeful as it alludes that we are the masters of our destiny. It is all a matter of choices; hopefully, the right ones.

"Sabihin mo / Darating ba ang araw / Na di ka takot iwanan ang mga mahal mo / Sa bahay na hindi sila mababasa tuwing malakas ang bagyo / Darating ba ang araw na ‘di kailangang itago ang mga yapak mo / Kailangang lumayo yumuko mag pasawalang kibo / Pag tinatanong ang karapatan mo...," the Makata sa Pinas reflects.

When asked how he was able to write this new masterpiece, Gloc-9 shared that he just weaved his poetry based on his own daily observations, with so much empathy towards our ordinary countrymen. He also clarified that “Paliwanag” isn’t not trying to be preachy or self-righteous.

“Triny ko lang din hukayin kung ano ‘yung malamang na nararamdaman ng karamihan sa mga kababayan natin. If you listen to the song ‘di ko rin ine-exclude ang sarili ko pagdating pag-ako ng mga mistakes sa nakaraan. Kasama ako doon. Ayun din naman ang lagi kong goal, I try not to be preachy sa mga kanta. Kung mayroon man talaga akong gusto kong ihatid ay kung ano talaga ang nararamdaman ko at malamang nararamdaman din ng mga marami sa mga kababayan natin,” the rapper explains.

Yeng shares, “We have the power bilang mamamayan to decide. And siguro nga parang ‘yon ‘yung parang naging impact sa akin. Noong natanggap ko na ‘yung final mix nito, ‘pag pumupunta ako ng work pinapatugtog ko ‘to lagi tapos walang palya, every time lalo na doon sa pinaka passionate part ng kanta which is ‘yung sa huli, talagang naiiyak ako. And ‘yon ‘yung gusto natin na impact. I agree with kuya Gloc na we’re not here to preach to anyone kasi iba-iba ng pinaniniwalaan.”

She also hopes that people will find this song just as impactful and eye-opening. “Kung ano man ang maging interpretasyon ng mga tao sa kantang ‘to, may it lead to something beautiful and maghahango sa kanila sa kung saang dilim sila naroroon. Yung mga questions na ‘ano ba ang kaya kong gawin at this moment as a powerful person, sa desisyon ko na maglelead din sa change rin ng life ko,” Yeng adds.

This is Gloc-9's first release as he comes back home to Universal Records after his two-year stint as an independent artist. Also, it’s his second official collaboration with Yeng after over a decade. The two teamed for an equally socially aware song “Bugtog” off the rapper’s acclaimed Talumpati album in 2011.

Thyro Alfaro helmed the musical arrangement of “Paliwanag”, while the concept of its dazzling music video was from the guys of Youmeus MNL and was directed by Amiel Kirby Balagtas. (WATCH HERE)

Cebu Pacific showcased as Asia’s greenest airline in Singapore Airshow


 Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, proudly participates in the Singapore Airshow as the only Philippine carrier in the prestigious trade event to showcase its newest Airbus 330neo aircraft, bolstering its status as the greenest airline in Asia. 

 

It is the first time that Airbus has chosen a carrier from the Philippines to be featured in the Singapore Airshow. Cebu Pacific’s A33neo is on permanent display during the four-day event (Feb 15-18) which is Asia’s most influential airshow held every two years for high-level government and military delegations and senior corporate executives from leading international aerospace companies. About 10,000 are expected to attend the trade show during its four-day run.

 

Top executives of Cebu Pacific welcomed journalists and trade visitors during the A330neo aircraft visit that was held today. 

 

“It is important for us to offer value service to our passengers and do it in a sustainable manner. The A330neo is a testament to our commitment to environmental and social sustainability, in line with our target of operating an all-Neo fleet by 2027,” said Mike Szucs, Chief Executive Adviser at Cebu Pacific. 



The A330neo’s 459-seat availability allows more travelers to be carried in a single flight, resulting in the lowest carbon footprint per passenger per kilometer. This will enable CEB to operate as the greenest airline in Asia, on top of ensuring comfort over long distances through its ergonomically designed lightweight Recaro seats.

 

The A330neo is among the quietest wide body cabins flying today in commercial aviation. This allows CEB to provide an improved overall customer experience for all. It also uses 25% less fuel than previous generation aircraft, able to consume as little as 1.4 liters per seat per 100 kilometers. This enables CEB to burn less fuel and emit less carbon, supporting the airline’s commitment to keep providing low fares for its passengers.  

 

“We are very happy for this opportunity to showcase our newest eco-plane at the Singapore Airshow. It is our honor to be the first-ever Philippine carrier chosen by Airbus to display the A330neo and we take pride in being able to move forward with our fleet modernization plan amidst the global pandemic,” added Szucs.

 

To date, the airline has received two out of its 16 A330neo aircraft orders, currently being used to fly to key Philippine hubs such as Davao and General Santos.
