The New Electrolux Ease C4 vacuum cleaner: designed for effortless clean

New features and an ergonomic design make the latest vacuum cleaner from Electrolux your effortless cleaning partner. The Electrolux Ease C4 offers a double cyclone technology, higher capacity and accessories to make cleaning a breeze!

The global pioneer in vacuum cleaners, Swedish brand Electrolux has released a new vacuum cleaner that makes cleaning effortless. Efficient performance, a huge capacity and stylish design combine to make the Electrolux Ease C4 an ideal cleaning partner.

Coming in a neat denim blue color, the Ease C4 boasts a double step cyclone technology that deals with dust efficiently, separating large particles from fine dust. This means a deeper clean in less time and reduces the need to replace filters so often. It also has adjustable suction power when you’ve moved to finer cleaning like getting rid of dust on shelves, counters, couches and more.

The new Ease C4 comes with more capacity – its dust container can store 1.8 liters so it requires emptying less often. This bagless vacuum cleaner has a single button release feature to carefully dispose your dust easily.

The Ease C4’s ergonomic design also makes cleaning effortless in other ways. It’s got a rubber grip on the handle making it easier to carry around anywhere and comes with large seamless rotary wheels for better stability and maneuverability around your home.

The Electrolux Ease C4 comes with a number of brush accessories to suit different cleaning needs.

This includes a choice of telescopic or non-telescopic nozzle, the upholster nozzle with a lint-catching fabric that captures dust from sofas, chairs, mattresses and soft furnishing and the Combination Crevice with brush with a thin design ideal for cleaning narrow and hard to reach areas.

While brooms and dustpan are the most common cleaning equipment found in most households, a vacuum cleaner makes cleaning much faster and easier as it has longer reach than a broom and a larger capacity container for litter. This makes it more efficient for cleaning multiple rooms at once. The vacuum cleaner also has accessories that allows it to clean upholstery and curtains, making it a very versatile cleaning tool.

Vacuum cleaners are also more effective in removing dust and allergens. If you have carpeting, kids who are sensitive to dust, have allergies, or if you have pets at home, a vacuum cleaner can be your best friend in removing allergens and stray pet hair. It also has the added bonus of helping to improve the air quality of your home. With its filtration system, it traps dust particles and removes allergens for an improved indoor air quality and allergen-free home.

A top-notch quality vacuum cleaner like the Electrolux Ease C4 Vacuum Cleaner can transform your space into a clean, inviting, appealing and fresh haven. Check it out in leading appliance centers nationwide.

Electrolux find solutions to your most common laundry dilemmas from FashionCare Season 2 campaign

Before I buy any clothes, I usually take into consideration texture of the garments,  if tags on most of my clothes instruct to hand wash, or dry-clean. I am very hands on with my clothes especially with the branded ones.  I have scheduled laundry on weekends.

I only hand wash delicates and my underwears. The rest I put in my washing machine using only organic laundry liquid/powder to reduce the effects of color loss over time especially on dark tops, dresses and jackets.

Just like Electrolux PH  FashionCare Ambassador Rajo Laurel,  my laba tip is always use a mesh bag for undies, bras and delicate tops/dresses. To prevent them from wringing and losing its shape.

Electrolux PH recently launched FashionCare Season 2 Party graced by Electrolux Philippines FashionCare Ambassador Rajo Laurel and FashionCare Council Members Amina Aranaz-Alunan and Janice Villanueva last August 30 at White Space Makati.

The Electrolux Ambassadors put the UltimateCare washer-dryer to the test by washing their most delicate fabrics. While waiting for their clothes, they have given tips on how to take care of their most delicate fabrics to the audience.

Electrolux Philippines Ambassador Rajo Laurel told that he usually put any beaded clothes inside any stocking or mesh bag to prevent it from breaking loose or catching other garments.

Washing machines have become a reliable partner of many Filipino households in doing their laundry as it saves more time than washing by hand. Yet when it comes to caring for clothes, many women still have trust issues when it comes to their washing machines. That is the concern that Electrolux seeks to address as it launches the second season of its FashionCare Campaign, which seeks to change the way women do their laundry.

Laundry Woes

To find out more about women’s laundry woes, Electrolux Philippines conducted a research in partnership with Mommy Mundo, one of the country’s leading mom communities. When asked about what fabrics they were afraid to wash using their washing machine, 67% of the respondent moms say that they are afraid to machine wash their silk clothing, followed by delicate wear (52%), cashmere clothing (40%), and wool clothing (39%).

Among the top reasons why women hesitate to put their clothes in washing machines are more than half of them or 58% think it might ruin the clothes, while some think that machine wash can cause fabric shrinkage (17%) or fading of colors (4%).

When it comes to doing laundry, moms worry about more than just cleaning. Among their top 3 laundry concerns are pilling of clothes or what we call himulmol, stubborn stains and misshaping of clothes - two of them are related to caring for the fabric. Fabric care remains one of the unfulfilled needs of moms as 77% of these women look for fabric care features when they buy washing machines.

The FashionCare Challenge

With women’s laundry concerns in mind, Electrolux created the UltimateCare line of washing machines and dryers, designed to help women care for their clothes.

At the FashionCare Season 2 Launch Party, Electrolux Philippines FashionCare Ambassador Rajo Laurel and FashionCare Council Members Amina Aranaz-Alunan and Janice Villanueva put the UltimateCare washer-dryer to the test.

Renowned fashion designer and Electrolux FashionCare Ambassador Rajo Laurel challenged Electrolux to wash one of his designer pieces.

“My passion for clothes extends to how I take care of them. Doing your laundry is more than just about making your clothes clean. It’s making sure that your clothes look better, newer, longer,” shared Rajo during the event.

Meanwhile Amina Aranaz-Alunan, founder, executive director and teacher of SoFA Design Institute, and Creative Director of fashion accessories and bag label ARANÁZ, put in a silk scarf, saying that she normally wouldn’t wash silk tops, scarves, knitted items and sweaters in the wash as they “might break, have holes or snag.”

Janice Villlanueva, successful mompreneur and founder of Mommy Mundo, likewise shared the same apprehensions.

“For items like formal wear, underwear, and knits, I’m always afraid to put it in the wash because it can damage the fabric and it will fade or get deformed,” Villanueva said. “Especially if the bras have underwire, or for formal clothes, it might shrink, or for knitwear, it might stretch out of shape.”

Designed to care for clothes

Electrolux is confident that its latest line of washing machines would rise to the challenge as its UltimateCare washing machines comes with UltraMix™ technology to help moms not only get better stain removal but better fabric care, helping them retain the color, shape, and softness of their clothes from delicate wear to designer pieces.

The UltraMix™ technology gives women the results of a hot wash for better stain and dirt removal, yet uses a lower, gentler temperature. Detergent and water are pre-mixed in a special chamber before the beginning of the cycle to maximize cleaning power at a lower temperature. It delivers deeper clean and 31% better colour care, to ensure your favorites look newer for longer

Besides the powerful yet gentle cleaning of UltraMix™, Electrolux UltimateCare washing machines extend the life of clothes with Vapour Action, designed to soften fabric while reducing allergens by up to 99.9% that’s gives women the assurance of better care for your clothes for years to come. The Woolmark certified cycle approved by the Woolmark Company, the global authority on wool, will safely launder these precious garments.

Electrolux UltimateCare washing machines also has Eco Inverter technology that offers high energy efficiency that reduces energy consumption by 75% and save time by 44%. Women can also enjoy the flexibility and convenience to toss in forgotten items during the washing cycle with add clothes feature.

“As a mom, I understand that many women still prefer to handwash certain items of clothing but we at Electrolux want to share that now, there is a washing machine that cares for your clothes and your family’s clothes as much as you do,” shared Andrea Pionilla, Country Marketing Manager of Electrolux. “With the FashionCare Campaign, Electrolux wants to introduce a better way of taking care of our machine wash-sensitive clothes. With the Electrolux UltimateCare washing machines and dryers, you not only get cleaning but fabric care that makes clothes look newer for longer.”

In line with its FashionCare campaign, Electrolux is offering several great deals on its washing machines, with offers up to 25% off on selected front load washing machines and washer dryers.  Women can also avail of selected Electrolux Front Load Washing Machines and get 25% off on an Electrolux Front Load Dryer. Also included is a free stacking kit and installation valued at PhP 3,049 with this fantastic bundle deal. Promo period runs from July 1 to September 30, 2018.

Four tips for a healthier you from Electrolux

Whether you’re aiming for a beach-ready bod or simply want to shed a few pounds, summer is a great time to start a healthier diet. To help you get started, Electrolux has put together a few simple tips on healthier food substitutes and ways to prepare food that will help pave the way for that slimmer silhouette.

Microwave your veggies

Did you know that cooking veggies in your microwave is a great way to preserve its nutrients?

Any cooking method utilizing heat and water tends to destroy the nutrients that make vegetables so good for us -for example, powerhouse vegetable spinach loses about 77% of its folate when boiled on the stove, but retains nearly all of it when cooked in a microwave.

This is because microwave ovens cook by vibrating water molecules within food, thus producing heat. It does not change the chemical composition of food in any way. As an added bonus, fresh vegetables, with their high water content can be cooked more quickly than other foods in a microwave oven.

Microwave ovens like the Electrolux EMS2348X comes with auto-cooking features that optimizes the time required to cook varying amounts of vegetables with just a few easy turns of the control knob.

To cook vegetables in your microwave oven, simply place them in a microwave-safe dish and add a small amount of water depending on the vegetables being cooked. Cover the dish with a safe plastic wrap and poke several holes or leave a corner open to allow the steam to vent.

Add spice to your meals with chili

Chili peppers are not just beneficial for health, but also for your waistline. Thanks to an antioxidant called capsaicin, chillies and other spices have been found to diminish appetite and accelerate your metabolism, helping your body burn fat at higher rate.

Electrolux EOB5450AAX Inspiro Built-In Oven

Electrolux EOT38DXA Tabletop Convection Oven

Capsaicin also increases fat oxidation, which pushes the body to use more fat as fuel. For optimal weight loss, consume in tandem with a low fat diet and try baking or grilling dishes in ovens like the Electrolux EOB5450AAX Inspiro Built-In Oven or the Electrolux EOT38DXA Tabletop Convection Oven.

Puree your way to a healthier you

Purees can be a low calorie, low fat replacement in certain foods like soups, salad dressings and deserts.

Creamy soups are a much-loved comfort food, both for its creamy taste and texture. For a low-fact alternative, pureeing the soup with cooked potatoes or tofu will give it that thick texture. Tofu can also be used as a substitute for sour cream in salads.

Meanwhile fruit purees shine in baking and desserts. One quarter cup of pureed apples and pears will replace one egg in a cake recipe. They not only add moisture but a fruity flavour to the cake. If the pureed fruit makes the cake denser than you would like, add half to one teaspoon of baking powder to get a lighter result.

Electrolux EBR 5050 Powermix Silent Blender

Creating a puree is easy – all you need is a powerful blender like the Electrolux EBR 5050 Powermix Silent Blender, which even comes with a fruit filter to easily remove pulp and seeds.

Top up your salad the healthy way

A tablespoon of mayonnaise contains about 100 calories while olive oil has 120. Cheeses like feta and parmesan can add 20 to 50 calories to the total. If you are having salads with bacon or crispy (in other words, fried) chicken, that ratchet up the calorie and fat count. Top if off with dressings like Thousand Island and your salad can weigh in at over 600 calories.

To help make your salads healthier, choose toppings that provide protein instead of fat like tuna, chickpeas and eggs. If you want meat toppings, go for a healthier cooking method, like sautéing, braising or grilling.

Do More With Less at home with Electrolux Appliances

Electrolux, a global leader in home appliances, launched its Do More With Less campaign at Abenson Global City last April 22 to empower moms to be more creative and resourceful at home.
The event was hosted by Issa Litton and attended by Electrolux Ambassadors Cheska Kramer, Chef Rosebud Benitez and Chef Bruce Lim.

The brand ambassadors shared do-it-yourself home products you can easily make using Electrolux home appliances.

"Filipino Moms are inventive. Leave it to them to find a way to recycle something that seems unusable,” said Andrea Pionilla,  Marketing Manager of Electrolux Philippines. “Electrolux’s newest campaign wants to show moms how easy it is to do more with less when they have the right home appliances to help them out.”

“I am thrilled to be part of this meaningful campaign. As a practical dad, I’ve always been a believer that with the right tools, you can always do more with less,” said Doug Kramer. “I love how Electrolux appliances help us accomplish more things at home so Cheska and I can spend more time with the kids and less time managing the household.”

Do More With Less at home

According to the Philippine Institute for Developmental Studies, Metro Manila produces 5,600 tons of trash per day and 75% of this comes from households. The same research also showed that half of the daily household waste comprises food scraps and leftovers. A study conducted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation found that one of the reasons behind food wastage among developing countries is wasteful consumption habits.

Electrolux invites you to share your own lifehacks at home. Join the Reduce Food Waste Challenge on Facebook. Share your tips on how to transform used items into something useful again and get a chance to win exciting prizes from Electrolux. Like The Electrolux Little White Book on Facebook to know more about the contest.

This is my Electrolux tip to keep the food fresh longer when storing in the ref.

With the help of Electrolux appliance you can do more with less by keeping your food fresh longer and eliminating the need to throw away uneaten or spoiled vegetables or fruits.

1.     Some foods create ethylene gas that cause other nearby fruits and vegetables to ripen and spoil faster than normal. Things that should NOT go in the refrigerator include avocados, apricots, bananas, oranges, kiwi fruit, melons, nectarines, pears, peaches, plums, pineapple and tomatoes. Don't put food in the refrigerator that doesn’t require to be refrigerated.

2.    Always keep your vegetable bins clean,  before adding new fruits and vegetables, make sure you wipe out the plastic bins with a sponge. Keeping your vegetable bins clean will prevent bacteria and mold growth.

3.    Make sure foods are well wrapped or covered. Food that is exposed to the inside air of the refrigerator will spoil more quickly than if it were well covered. Store food in a tightly sealed container like a ziploc seal or cover with wrap or foil before putting in food in the refrigerator.

4.    To ensure that your food lasts as long as possible, keep your fridge between 37°F and 40°F, and your freezer between 0°F and 2°F. Buy an inexpensive thermometer to keep inside so that you can check the temperature regularly.

5.    Make sure that the items you buy are as fresh as possible. Local, in-season produce will always get to the grocery store faster than something shipped from overseas. Buying local means your food is as fresh as possible and will last longer, which also means less waste!

We spend a lot of money on our groceries and ensuring that they stay fresh long enough for us to enjoy them is a great way to make sure we aren’t wasting food.

Electrolux helps prepare healthy food for kids

Healthy Happy Kids with Electrolux

Kids are the pickiest eaters. It takes a lot to convince them to try new dishes especially those with fruits and vegetables. That is why parents come up with creative ways to encourage their kids to eat more greens and lessen the chips and chocolates.

Good nutrition and healthy eating habits are best started at a young age. And an effective way to teach these to them is by involving them in the kitchen. Introducing new flavors to your kids will encourage them to try new dishes and widen their food palate. Letting them experiment with different ingredients will challenge their creativity and tickle their curiosity and interest.

So whether you are raising a culinary prodigy or simply encouraging your kids to eat healthy, teaching them these simple dishes will surely make them appreciate nutritious food even more.

1. Pizza
Pizza is a simple yet classic child-pleaser. It’s also the perfect dish to help you get some veggies in to their meals. Include vegetables such as broccoli, bell peppers, onions and arugula as toppings apart from the usual peperoni, ham and cheese. Let them have fun in the kitchen by encouraging them to personalize their own pizza.

Electrolux Multi-function Oven

The Electrolux Inspiro built-in oven will give you the perfectly cooked pizza. Its UltraFan® feature allows hot air to circulate evenly throughout the oven for an evenly cooked dish on every shelf. It’s also designed with a cool-touch door that is safe to hold even during baking.

2. Sandwiches
Building sandwiches is a great way to introduce new flavors and textures to your kids. A piece of lettuce will add crunch to your sandwich while a strip of roast beef will give you a savory taste. Allow your kids to combine flavors and textures in their sandwiches. Give them a variety of ingredients to help them make their most creative sandwich.

Electrolux Pop-up Toaster

Let your kids choose even the type of bread they want to use. The Electrolux pop-up toaster comes with an integrated bun warmer. Your kids can now choose between a crunchy slice of bread or a warm bun for their sandwich. It’s also designed with a cool-touch housing that prevents the body of the appliance from heating up while toasting your breads.

3. Soup

Teach the kids how to prepare a hearty bowl of chicken macaroni soup with the Electrolux portable induction cooker. It comes with nine power levels to help you boil or simmer your soup quickly and easily without the use of an open flame.

4. Cookies

Reward your kids for a job well-done with a freshly baked batch of cookies. But instead of using chocolate chips, introduce new ingredients and use raisins and oatmeal to add a different taste and texture to this famous treat. Baking is not only a fun bonding activity. It will also teach kids the importance of precision and following exact instructions.

Electrolux stand mixer

Mix everything together evenly and easily with the Electrolux stand mixer. It’s built with a powerful motor that can easily do the mixing for you with just a press of a button.

Everyone can contribute to shaping healthy and well-rounded kids. Design students from all over the Philippines are invited to join the Electrolux Design Lab competition. Under the theme Healthy Happy Kids, Design Lab is looking for creative and sustainable designs that will help children of today live in an environment that fosters healthy well-being.

This year, Electrolux doubled the cash prize to €10,000 or nearly Php 540,000 and a six-month paid internship at an Electrolux global design center abroad. Submission of entries is from March 4 to April 8, 2015. For more information, visit electroluxdesignlab.com. Electrolux Delightful-E transforms worn out clothes into quilts with GawadKalinga’sTrese

I was first exposed to idea of service to others when a co-employee suffered a Dengue fever stage 4 and badly needed a blood transfusion. I have become a blood donor by accident, but continued on the deed after that,  I wanted to save lives by blood letting. Giving has a healing effect, believe me. Everybody has each share of helping the needy. I have  seen individuals inspired by others taking that first step, and have consequently taken the first step themselves.

When I received an invite for the Gawad Kalinga's Trese Community in Payatas thru Electrolux (Fleishman-HillardPH) I said yes right away. It was a 45 minute drive away from QC on a sunny morning last October 14, 2014.  It was my first time to visit Gawad Kalinga's Trese, I wanted to meet the people behind the good cause.

Electrolux with its long running advocacy of collecting and laundering clothes for calamity-stricken survivors, partners up with Gawad Kalinga's Trese in recycling worn out clothes into beautiful quilts for the new born babies and children in orphanages. What started as a small act of giving has continued to grow as each person deepens their commitment to service.

Gawad Kalinga Trese' s Supervisor Ate Lita

Ate Lita's co worker sewing quilts

We witnessed how donated clothes sewn into colorful quilts that would make the most beautiful blanket an orphan could used. One of the most touching and inspirational stories I have seen and heard is that of Ate Lita, their supervisor at Trese Community, she started sewing quilts by herself and then recruited her neighbors, together they have earned enough to fend for their family. They have sewn quilts for distribution to orphanages, and accepted sewing job for other companies as well.

The finished quilt

Sharing with this tradition, Electrolux, a global leader in home appliances, has been collecting and laundering clothes for calamity-stricken survivors for several years now. This year, Electrolux, through its Delightful-E Simple campaign, innovated this long-running advocacy.

Together with Gawad Kalinga’s Trese community, Electrolux will upcycle unusable clothes into quilts for children and new born babies in orphanages and other communities.

“Electrolux believes that there must be dignity in the clothes that we donate. To make sure that every piece of clothing is in good condition, we will sort out the worn out, unwearable ones, then upcycle them into quilts with the help of Trese” said Andrea Pionilla, Electrolux Marketing Manager. “With this partnership, we aim not only to give quilts to children and new born babies but also another source of livelihood for this Payatas community.”

Be a part of this meaningful advocacy by donating some pre-loved clothes. You may drop off your donations in any of these locations:
