Red Carpet Tour for "Edge of Tomorrow" Premieres in 3 Countries in 1 Day

Stars race against time to meet fans in London, Paris and New York on an unprecedented Red Carpet Repeat tour

On May 28, the stars of “Edge of Tomorrow” will take part in a groundbreaking worldwide event when, for the first time ever, three fan premieres will be held in three different countries in just one day, “resetting” the red carpet as Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt race the clock to make each event before time runs out.

In “Edge of Tomorrow,” Cruise’s character relives the events of one day over and over in an epic battle to save the world. The story begins as he arrives in London, making that city the perfect place to kick off this global event. All times are local:

7:00 a.m. inaugural premiere kicks off on the carpet in London, with a 9:00 a.m. Screening.
The film takes both characters to France, where they face off against an insurmountable army of alien invaders.
2:00 p.m. red carpet in Paris, screening at 4:00 p.m.

The final premiere will take the stars back to the U.S.
10:00 p.m. red carpet in New York City, with the final screening—on the edge of tomorrow—at 11:59 p.m.

Between cities, Cruise, Blunt and the film’s director, Doug Liman, will interact with fans via social media as they jet from country to country. A contingent of select press will travel to each premiere, covering the events as they unfold.


There will be live stream components for each of the three events. Those fans on the ground can network via social media using #EOTLive.

Oscar nominee Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt star in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ sci-fi thriller “Edge of Tomorrow,” under the direction of Doug Liman.

The epic action of “Edge of Tomorrow” unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.

Major William Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again.

But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

The international cast also includes Bill Paxton, Brendan Gleeson, Noah Taylor, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong, Franz Drameh, Masayoshi Haneda and Tony Way.

Liman directed “Edge of Tomorrow” from a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie and Jez Butterworth & John-Henry Butterworth, based on the novel entitled All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. Erwin Stoff produced, along with Tom Lassally, Jeffrey Silver, Gregory Jacobs and Jason Hoffs. The executive producers are Doug Liman, David Bartis, Joby Harold, Hidemi Fukuhara and Bruce Berman, with Tim Lewis and Kim Winther serving as co-producers.


Opening across the Philippines on June 5, 2014, “Edge of Tomorrow” will be distributed in 2D and 3D in select theatres by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Celebrities were spotted at a recent Havaianas launched at Make Your Own Havaianas 2014  at the Glorietta Activity Center.  Kathryn Bernardo, Maxene Magalona, Ariella Arida, Tweety Gonzales, Vanessa Matsunaga were among others who gamely customized their flipflops with their favorite soles, straps and pins.


 Dancers dressed in Carnaval-inspired outfits swayed to the beat of Brazilian beats while guests were treated to exciting performances by the Brasilipinas community, the groups of Brigada, Escola Sambade Manila, Escola Brasileira de Capoeira, Imperatriz Filipinense Samba School and Futkaleros. On it’s 9th year, guests were treated once again to mix and match everything for their flip flops: from the soles and the straps, to color combinations inspired by street art, to the fun limited edition pins – all exhibiting the spirit of Brazil.

Century Tuna Superbods Champion Maui Lumba




Mauro Francesco Lumba or Maui is a 21 year old model who is 6'1 tall and a graduate of Hotel and Restaurant Management from University of Santo Tomas.  He modelled for Fashion week under Gerry Katigbak, and has appeared on C2 Green Tea drink commercial.

Maui Lumba emerged as the champion of this year’s Century Tuna Superbods Superchallenge competition recently held at Pearl of the Pacific in Boracay. It was his first time to win the competition. Joining him for the title is Sara Polverini. They took home P500,000, a year of Gold’s Gym subscription, a one year supply of Century Tuna, and other fabulous prizes. Maui also bagged the People’s Choice Special Award.

Maui enthuses, “I’m so honored to be chosen as the winner of Century Tuna Superbods 2014. I’m so happy na nagbunga lahat ng mga pinaghirapan ko during the competition. If you look at the finalists, lahat sila deserving manalo.”


What’s the secret to his fit and buff body? He reveals, “Dedication and discipline. I live a healthy lifestyle by going to the gym regularly, sleeping at least eight hours a day, and eating the right kinds of food. Of course, what a better way to get a healthy body than to eat Century Tuna!”. According to him, he is on a low sodium diet on preparation for the competition, his friends were very supportive on his journey to become the winner of the Century Tuna Superbods Superchallenge.

Maui is soft spoken in person and is charming to melt you with his eyes and persona. He is also a basketball player and a model like his father Gerry Lumba, a contemporary of Edu Manzano and Christopher de Leon. As a model, Maui was frequently asked to grace special events in UST like the USTV awards. It was at that event that he was presented with the golden opportunity to join showbiz and become a member of NYOBG, Backroom’s newest league of artists.

“My first love was basketball and I pursued that career but I think this is my calling, to be a model and actor and I’m grateful for the opportunities given to me.”

He is excited what’s in store for him in showbiz. “I’m just grateful that I’m part of this group along with other great talents. The business has a lot of complications, but I think we can handle it.”

Jollibee Stickers now on LINE!

Reunited and "Blended" after 10 years

SANDLER, BARRYMORE “BLENDED” AGAIN AFTER TEN YEARS


Nearly ten years after Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore’s second hugely successful romantic comedy, “50 First Dates,” the two reunite on the big screen with Warner Bros. Pictures new romantic comedy “Blended.”

Written by Ivan Menchell & Clare Sera, “Blended” tells the story of Lauren (Barrymore), an over-protective, recently divorced mother of tween boys thrown into an unexpected African adventure with Jim (Sandler), a loving but overwhelmed widower doing his misguided best to raise three daughters.

The screenplay came to Sandler courtesy of producer Mike Karz, who slipped the script to the actor after a weekend camping trip with their kids. “I saw him playing with his daughter during one of the camping activities,” Karz recalls, “and it just hit me: Adam reminds me of Jim. Like Jim, Adam is such a loving and caring father. His family is the most important thing in his life and he would do anything for his kids.”

“A big part of why Jim and Lauren fall in love is their ability to see what great parents they are to their kids and to each other’s kids,” says director Frank Coraci. “That’s what sets this movie apart. They don’t fall in love over the typical romantic comedy clichĆ©s. They fall in love over how devoted they are to their kids.”


As Barrymore sees it, “Jim and Lauren are just trying to do the best they can for their kids. When they’re forced to spend time together in this exotic place, they begin to discover how great life can be when you meet someone who is a like-minded parent and shares the same core values.”

Coraci believes the timing of Sandler and Barrymore’s reunion couldn’t be better. “The Wedding Singer was a very pure, un-jaded first love kind of movie that we made when we were younger and more naĆÆve,” he muses. “Now that Adam and Drew have kids, and he’s become an amazing dad and she’s become an amazing mother, they really understand what it is to love your kids unconditionally and be a great parent, and the sacrifices that have to sometimes be made. So their experience was really appropriate for `Blended.' They haven’t lost their ability to have fun and poke fun at each other, but they definitely brought that new wisdom to their roles.”

“Blended” also stars Joel McHale (NBC’s “Community”) as Lauren’s ex-husband, Mark, and Wendi McLendon-Covey (“Bridesmaids”) as her best friend, Jen; Kevin Nealon (“Weeds”) and Jessica Lowe (funnyordie’s “RobotDown”) as an overly romantic couple also vacationing at the resort; and Terry Crews (“The Expendables 2”) as the resort’s singing host.

Women who were present at the event were treated to an afternoon of relaxation and pampering by having a nail spa and styling their hair. The event was turned into a salon-like party.
