The launch was attended by Vype ePen executives, Katrina Macaraig, BAT Philippines Brand Manager, and lifestyle bloggers. 

Vype ePen, the first one in Asia Pacific follows successful launches in Europe and South America. It comes with a  Starter Kit with two Vype eCaps (Blended Tobacco and Crisp Mint), retails at Php1,199. ePen is available only in sleek black. Robinsons Supermarket’s Green Fund to donate 11,000 school chairs to QC public schools

Robinsons Supermarket plans to donate 11,000 school chairs as part of their Ecosavers project. This is in keeping with its commitment to use its Green Fund to support children’s education and to benefit the environment. The chairs are made from recycled plastic materials.

Robinsons Supermarket will turn over the rest of the chair donations to 11 more public schools in Quezon City in the next few months. Robinsons Supermarket tapped Envirotech Waste Recycling Inc. to produce the school chairs. They used 30 tons of recycled plastic materials to produce 1,500 plastic chairs.

At the ceremonial turnover at the Quezon City Hall, Robinsons Supermarket executives, Mayor Herbert Bautista, and Quezon City Environmental Protection and Waste Management Department (EPWMD) head Ms. Frederika Rentoy turned over the first batch of 1,500 plastic chairs to Pasong Tamo Elementary School principal Dr. Arsenio Honrejas and student representatives.

 “Together with the Quezon City officials, we are delighted to provide these chairs through our Ecosavers Green Fund which will go a long way towards not only making education convenient for our young pupils, but also in helping manage plastic wastes,” said Mr. Jody Gadia, General Manager of Robinsons Supermarket.

The Robinsons Supermarket’s Green Fund comes from P2.00 regulatory fees charged to supermarket customers whenever they opt to use plastic bags for their groceries. This is mandated by the Quezon City government through a city-wide ordinance, in an effort to reduce the use of plastic bags that are harmful to the environment.

Use of the Green Fund requires that it be earmarked for environmental projects that would also benefit Quezon City residents.

Chancel Repertory Theatre presents "Fire of Hope"

Join Chancel Repertory Theatre in celebrating Christmas with a different kind of musical. This is theater that challenges, questions and provides hope in this life and beyond.

In 1986, a group of Christians passionate about theater saw the impact it can make to an  audience by inspiring change and transforming lives through the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Today, 30 years later, Chancel Repertory Theatre continues to share the Good News through theater arts one production at a time. On its 30th anniversary, Chancel Rep presents a dramatic Christmas musical, “FIRE OF HOPE”, written by Doug Holck with script adaptation and direction by the esteemed Jaime Del Mundo. 

FIRE OF HOPE is a musical that takes one to a journey of the Nativity Story. The approach is raw and inspires powerful emotions never before explored in traditional Christmas presentations. The musical explores the intertwining lives between three women who must come to grips with their faith and finds hope in the time of Jesus' birth amidst the horrors of Herod's massacre of the innocents.
