Shoot like a pro with your smartphone

Together with Huawei Philippines and the Department of Tourism, Manila Bulletin’s Earth+Lens 2022 will host a smartphone photography and videography workshop on March 31, at 6 PM. Issa Litton will moderate and Bolichie Suzara and Silver Belen will instruct on photography and videography, respectively.

Suzara shall explore and discuss basic concepts like use of grid, exposures, ISO, focus, and white balance. By the end of the workshop, attendees should be able to easily and confidently explore and adjust the camera settings on their smartphones to achieve the looks they desire. Suzara will also make sure that they leave with some practical wisdom he’s learned about the art of photography across his long career.

 

Silver Belen, film and video director

Belen will share his insights on planning and shooting videos, specifically focusing on how to make your travel and everyday videos look more “pro.” While getting to his level is only possible with years of continual practice, Belen is looking forward to helping attendees leave the workshop confident that they can capture their memories on video with precision, quality, and good timing.
