Singlife Philippines Awarded Dream Employer of the Year (2021)

Singlife Philippines was recognized as the Dream Employer of the Year for 2021 by Workbean, the Philippines’ first and only employer branding platform.

Singlife, a mobile-first savings and protection company, aims to become an employer of choice and to provide people with opportunities to work in a collaborative, agile, and technologically advanced company.

“We are grateful for this recognition given by the Workbean community. We take pride in our work culture at Singlife, and we will continue to give our employees opportunities for growth and development,” said Rien Hermans, CEO of Singlife Philippines.

Singlife is a company with roots in Singapore, Asia’s technology hub.

“We make tools and solutions to give every Juan and Maria a better way to plan, save, and protect their financial futures. We share this mission with our employees, and we are always on the lookout for new talents in the country to work with, provide opportunities to work on the latest technologies, and come up with innovative solutions for our customers.” Hermans added.

Ronel Mabunga, Enterprise Architect of Singlife Philippines shares how he was given the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects from InsureTech, FinTech, and Software Development, and gets to collaborate with people from various teams closely.

“Singlife Philippines is a very engaging organization to be in. One of the most important things we learn here is how to rise above challenges. I am proud to say that in just a year with the Company, I’ve progressed in my career from being a Solution Designer, Application Architect, and now an Enterprise Architect,” he said

Singlife Philippines has given its employees the opportunity to grow and improve themselves. It also challenges its employees to innovate and use their expertise to challenge the status quo and develop meaningful solutions for customers.

“Working with some of the most progressive technology available today and collaborating with very talented colleagues to deliver solutions that have never been seen in the life insurance space is very exciting. While the work is challenging, it’s also very fulfilling. I am very happy that I’m able to use my expertise to the fullest and contribute to the organization.” Ronel added.

Singlife Philippines was chosen for the award through a 2-month survey run by Workbean across its social media platforms and email newsletters among its members and followers.

Workbean holds its annual Employer Brand Awards to give recognition to companies with commendable company workplace cultures.

Since its inception in 2020, Workbean has expanded its awards with two more categories for its Employer Brand Awards, namely the Dream Employer and Workplace Health Advocate awards, to expand the cultural pillars in which we can celebrate the efforts of employers to improve the experience of the people in their organization.

Among the other awardees this year are: Filipino live streaming community kumu, design solution platform Canva Philippines, and logistics company Lalamove who were awarded the Most Attractive Employer of the Year Award.
