Gisele joins Under Armour’s Women of Will and helps define the spirit of the brand’s most expansive women’s marketing campaign to-date

 Under Armour (NYSE:UA) unveiled the newest chapter of I WILL WHAT I WANT featuring Gisele Bündchen. Gisele makes her debut for the brand in a bold film and interactive digital experience highlighting her athleticism and unwavering dedication under pressure. A Song of Praise Music Festival is a venue to provide opportunities for composers and interpreters, this is where they hone their musical talent with The Creator as their inspiration.A Song of Music Festival held its presscon on Sept. 22, 2014 at SumoSam Gateway Mall, QC.  Hosted by one of the judge  Doktor Musiko himself Mon del Rosario, told the media that he had a time choosing the finalists, as all the entries were great and beautifully interpreted as well. He presented the composers and interpreters to the media and their entries genre.






From Reggae to Rock, from Ballads to ethnic, the A Song of Praise Music Festival or ASOP promises to be the most diverse singing-songwriting competition on Philippine television.

A brainchild of Mr. Public Service himself, Kuya Daniel Razon, ASOP has been a venue not only for professional songwriters but also for aspiring and budding composers who have their own stories to tell through their songs and musical talents showcased year round.

ASOP is the first-ever song writing competition on Philippine television that aims to bring back to the lives of people what seems to be lost and forgotten – giving thanks and glory to The Creator amidst the rat race, fear and violence humans are faced with nowadays -— a mark that most songwriting competitions do not possess.

Now in its third year, ASOP has produced three albums, each featuring twelve originally composed praise songs that emerged victorious in each of the twelve months from September to August interpreted by the most sought-after artists and big names in the local music scene. The show is hosted by Richard Reynoso and Toni Rose Gayda, and airs every Sundays, 7 p.m. on UNTV.

Aside from cash prizes to the weekly and monthly winners, the program gives all contestants free songwriting tips from authorities in the field of music.

Battle of the Best

Open to all amateur and professional songwriters, ASOP searches for the best songs of praise for a whole year, amounting to 12 song entries for the Grand Finals.

Entries are performed onstage and are judged by a panel of acclaimed singers and songwriters such as Doctor Musiko himself, Mon Del Rosario.

Weekly winners go on to the monthly eliminations where those chosen proceed to the Grand Finals for a chance to win PHP 500,000 for the Grand Prize. Runners-up receive prizes exceeding PHP 100,000 each and non-winners are given plaques and consolation prizes.

This year’s grand finals will be held tonight September 23, 2014, Tuesday, 7 PM at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.





Competing for this year’s best song will be the twelve monthly winners of the only weekly praise songwriting competition in Philippine TV. Performing on that uplifting night of heavenly music will be some of the country’s top singing sensations as interpreters i.e. OPM Icons Rachel Alejandro, Bayang Barrios, Gail Blanco & Bo Cerrudo, famous band vocalists Mcoy Fundales (Kenyo/Orange & Lemon), Jek Manuel (I-Axe), Jason Fernandez (Rivermaya) & Ava Olivia Santos (Freestyle), singing champions Beverly Caimen (VVCOPA 2013 Senior Grand Champion), Shanne Velasco (Ka-Voice ni Idol, lkaw at Echo 2013 grand winner) and vocal group members Daryl Ong (Voices of 5), Walton Cerrudo (Voices of 5) and new promising artist Jessa Mae Gabon.

BUM Equipment recently unveiled the  launch of its G.I. (Girl It’s) Jane collection named after one of its youth brand ambassador Jane Oineza, who is fresh from her successful third finish in a recently concluded Pinoy Big Brother All In Edition, a hit reality show of ABS-CBN Channel 2.

WHO IS YOUR BEST NANAY?





“Every mother is always the best nanay in her own right,” said Ms. Bemz Benedito, Managing Director of Make Your Nanay Proud (MYNP) Foundation. She further said that all mothers deserve recognition. “And the Best Nanay Awards 2014 is the right venue to acknowledge their enormous contribution in molding their family,” Benedito added.

“THE BOOK OF LIFE” FLIPS THROUGH THE PAGES OF FRIENDSHIP, TRUE LOVE AND STRONG FAMILY VALUES





                Reel FX Animation and Reel FX Animationopen the pages of “The Book of Life” and present a grand mythology set in visually spectacular worlds never seen before. The film brings together director Jorge R. Gutierrez’s unique visual style and a crowd-pleasing mix of adventure, action, comedy, romance and music with a voice cast as lively as their animated characters – Channing Tatum, Zoe Saldana, Christina Applegate, Diego Luna,  Ice Cube, Ron Perlman and Hector Elizondo.

“The Book of Life,” a vibrant animated fantasy-adventure, tells the legend of Manolo (Luna), a conflicted hero and dreamer who sets off on an epic quest through magical, mythical and wondrous worlds in order to reunite with his one true love Maria (Saldana) and defend his village.   But Manolo and his equally courageous best friend Joaquin (Tatum)are not your typical Prince Charmings; the object of their affections is far from being your average princess; and “The Book of Life” is a fairy tale that doesn’t go by the book.

Its journey to the big screen began with, appropriately enough, a friendship.  Producer Brad Booker, a Reel FX development executive, had known Gutierrez (known for the multiple Emmy and Annie winning series “El Tigre, The Adventures of Manny Rivera” for Nickelodeon which he created with his wife) for over a decade, and after hearing of the project, Booker believed Reel FX would be a great home for it.  The independent animation studio knew that the film needed the perfect creative partner to help guide its path and development.  Gutierrez’s first choice: legendary director, producer and author Guillermo del Toro, who like Gutierrez hails from Mexico.  Gutierrez felt del Toro’s authentic perspective and unique aesthetic sensibility were a perfect match for the film.

Del Toro was equally impressed by Gutierrez’s passion for what would become “The Book of Life.”  “Jorge is his movie,” he says, “and the movie is an imprint of his personality.  Jorge’s ideas for “The Book of Life” started with his connection to his homeland of Mexico, and presenting an exciting, never-before-experienced depiction of that country, its people and its traditions – all in a way that would be accessible to audiences around the world.”



Adds producer Brad Booker:  “Guillermo brings an authenticity and passion for this world and story.  He’s a visionary filmmaker and has been tremendously supportive of Jorge’s ideas.”  “The Book of Life” brings together Gutierrez’s perspective of his native country with a story to which everyone can relate.  He explains:  “This is a very personal movie. The inspiration comes from my family history and childhood experiences.”

Still, Gutierrez admits he embellished some elements.  “My grandfather Luis used to tell me, ‘Jorgito, don’t ever let the truth get in the way of a good story!’  And that was the moment I fell in love with storytelling.”  Gutierrez’s passion for the story, characters and their world points to the film’s broad appeal.  “If you’re telling a story and want it be universal, then you have to be specific,” del Toro explains.  “If the filmmaker loves the story and characters, then audiences will love it.  And if a filmmaker feels it’s powerful, more people will love the story he or she is telling because it’s powerful.  And that’s exactly what Jorge has done with “The Book of Life.”

“The Book of Life” opens October 16 in cinemas (2D and 3D) nationwide from 20th Century Fox thru Warner Bros.

The competition is now on its third stage where the semi-finalists will be narrowed down to the top 6 and eventually the top 3. The grand winner will receive €5,000 and a six-month paid internship in an Electrolux global design center while the People’s Choice Award winner will receive €1,000.
