I have been a fan of milk tea since 2012. I have discovered chai tea when I was in Dubai. My Arabic employer introduced a hot cup of chai tea to me during an afternoon break. Since then, it has become an instant favorite. Chai is a combination of black tea, steamed milk, and various Indian herbs and spices. The taste was spicy, creamy, warming and its addicting.
When I got back in Manila in 2013. milk tea with toppings became the craze. I have tasted it all from oolong, green tea, black tea, jasmine, white tea, chamomile, roasted dried tea flower leaves. I have also made rounds to all the milk tea shops here in Manila. But nothing comes close to Cult favorite milk tea brand Coco, that is if youre a fan of milk teas with toppings (boba, pearl and pudding)
When Coco introduced 2 ladies and 3 buddies milk tea variant. It has become an instant favorite aside from the mountain tea, when I am feeling under the weather.
I love that you can chewed 3 toppings, (black and white pearl, grass jellies) in one drink. It was creamy, not so sweet, (because I always customize my order).
The trick to cut back on calories is to ask the cashier for no sugar when you order for any teas.
Toppings like pearls, puddings and grass jellies are sweet enough to flavor up your drinks.
