For the early-stage stans: Hottest K-Pop groups on the rise
NewJeans got our attention! This breakthrough group surprised the K-Pop world in 2022 when they released their first single, the aptly-titled Attention, without any teaser material — which is contrary to the typical K-Pop debut ritual. It was then followed by their single Hype Boy which brought them more recognition as they grew their fandom and made waves around the world. They amped up the momentum this year with the release of OMG, their first comeback album.
In an exclusive interview with Spotify, NewJeans’ Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein talked about the inspiration behind OMG, their greatest accomplishment in their career, their biggest wish this 2023.
Joining NewJeans in the roster of K-Pop rookie groups to watch out for in 2023 are LE SSERAFIM, TNX, CLASS:y, and Lapillus. Top releases from these up-and-coming K-Pop groups (and more!) are featured on Spotify’s K-Pop ON! playlist.

TXT’s trademark of storytelling through music is showcased once again in this new album, as it follows the portrayal of a young boy and the temptation to stay young and free.
TXT reveals more details on The Name Chapter: Temptation, including their favorite moments about the album and their plans this 2023, in a recent Spotify interview.
