The Philippine Formula Autosport Foundation, Inc (PFAFI) has signed a memorandum of agreement with NASCAR representatives to become its exclusive regional partner in mounting the first-ever Asian V8 Championship Series, a set of races to determine top Filipino and Asian drivers who will participate in NASCAR-sanctioned United States and European events.

The agreement was signed by PFAFI founder and president Tom Pastor, Ed Cox of Orion Motorsport representing US NASCAR West Coast and Euro Nascar, at the Resorts World Manila Atrium.

"We are excited to finally partner with one of the world's largest motorsports franchises and earn the distinction of hosting the Nascar-qualifying event in the entire Asian region," said Pastor, "With this partnership, we are all revved-up to bring the Philippines back on the global map of motorsports."
